I love Chinese food scratch that I can live off of Chinese food but now that I am trying from grand China I wish I would have stopped at Taco Bell next door instead!!!!!! I understand close time coming soon 8 pm closing at 9:30 but now food at buffet line and refilling close to nothing at all. How do you feel taking people's hard earned money and saying we will refill all the food till 9 pm and nothing ever came I ate scraps for $30. Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went for the Mongolian Grill and I was not disappointed! You choose what you want to eat including fresh veggies, meats, seafood and sauces. Then take your plate to a cook that will throw it all on a round flat grill and stir fry it up. Excellent Mongolian! The only other item I tried was the Hot and sour soup. It was okay. read more

Loved the buffet and the grill!!! Was a little weary about the temperature the meat is stored. Most Mongolian places I've been to have the meat frozen but theirs was not. If you want a cheap but good chinese buffet I must say this is the right place to go. There's a good variety of dishes and also they serve crabs and crawfish (which is definitely a plus for me). The place is not hard to find. There's a plenty of parking. The restaurant is big. The only thing that I don't like is it's kinda dark inside and a little bit updated. read more

While it is only buffet food. This place is miles ahead of other buffet places here in El Paso. The only problem I have with it, would be the sushi area. If you can get it FRESH, I'm sure its not bad. But I definitely had some pieces that were hanging out for a while. The rest of the food was hot, and plentiful. (530pm on a Sunday) And they were pretty quick to refill anything they ran out of. I see previous reviewers here complaining about service. But its a buffet place. Dont treat them like dirt, and they take care of you as well as they can. I recommend at least giving this place three tries before you pass judgement. read more

This is my moms favorite Chinese buffet. Seriously, I drove from Las Vegas, NV to Alamogordo, NM and my mom STILL wanted me to drive the 1.5 hours to El Paso, TX to eat at this buffet the very next day. Every time I'm in town (Alamogordo), my mom makes me bring her El Paso, to this buffet. It's very large; they have a sushi bar, a Mongolian grill, desserts, and American food, if you're not in the mood for Chinese food. I went in and saw the environment and thought this place would be pretty good bc the atmosphere is pretty good but the food didn't live up to the expectations. Haven't been there since May 2013, but while there, oh my! Food was good and plentiful. Perhaps because I made a point of not going at peak hours, service was great, but no trying to hustle you out for the next patron... I liked that. As a single consumer, that makes points, f'sure! The one thing I am trying to make an excuse to come back to El Paso for is their honey walnut cream shrimp! I pigged out massively the three times (YES 3!) I went there over an 8 day stay, and took one huge takeout one time back to my motel... at a late hour. It was as fresh as the food on any other day! Tried desperately to coax the recipe from the owner, but he kept mum... darn! Cheaper than flying back to El Paso, but if I have to I will. Saw from info above that this was shortly after they opened. I would hope the quality would still be the same. And as noted below, it is buffet food. The food is okay, nothing special. What made me give it the one star was the HUGE roach crawling on the wall against our table. We've been to other Chinese buffets in El Paso. This is the one we like the best. Not the greatest Chinese food, but as far as "Chinese buffets", this is the only one we will go to. Gross! The food was disgusting, dry, tasteless. I thought I would try it based on the good half of the reviews but it literally was like they unfroze everything and reheated it. The sushi is terrible too! It's extremely dry and not at all fresh! This is my regular Chinese restaurant. It has a good selection of items but my favorite is the Mongolian Grill which cooks with steam instead of oil. Makes the food light instead of burnt and greasy. Tip the cook with a few bucks after completion. Not Chinese but during lunch on weekdays they have bacon wrapped chicken which is very tasty. I love their Teriyaki chicken. read more

We get inside & see that all the parking outside couldn't possibly be for here because its really not that busy at all. The place seemed pretty clean. Staff was not very friendly at all. They had a decent variety of food options, the mongolian grill was alright, there was sushi but we didn't try that. Overall, the food was OK. Nothing special or full of flavor. Especially for the price! Speaking of the price...WOW! How does a buffet cost just shy of $30 for two people?! Heads up- your drinks are NOT included in the cost of the buffet. They have a total of 10 stations, each with 10+ selections so lots of choices including sushi, Mongolian BBQ, salads, meats, fruits, etc (see pictures). I didn't try the sushi but my son told me it wasn't very good. Other than that, the food was great and the price was very reasonable. Recently moved to El Paso from a location that didnt have chinese food (or buffets); however, I am originally from Austin, which has lots of great buffets. I would say that this is one of the BEST buffets I have ever been to, maybe THE best. The majority of the food was excellent (every now and then when I grabbed the last of something it wasnt 100%, but I know thats really no fault of the restaurant). The service was also really good, the waiters are pretty attentive. I will absolutely be going back here often and would highly recommend it. read more

I hate to give bad reviews... BUT I was not happy with this place. It was not crowded which may partake in some of the reasons why the food tasted old but you make less to put on a buffet and rotate your food out. The shrimp had a slime taste to it and I tried several different kinds to ensure I didn't get a bad batch but that wasn't the case. The crawfish meat was brown on the inside and dried to the shell. We have a family of 5 and our bill was $70 which did include three iced teas and one of the children is under the age of 12yr. All n all I understand buffets and I know that the concept is appealing to many but when you can't eat the first plate of food then that concept is lost. For those people who gave a good review then I will chuck it up to a bad day at the buffet but I will not be returning. read more

There are so many dishes to choose from and they are very good. I have not tried everything, but that that I have has been very good. I have only been there in a group and they have taken good care of us each time. The Sushi Bar can stand to come up a bit nothing exciting about it, not even Shrimp, and I love Sushi so that disappoints me. I would definitely recommend GCB. I also do recommend Lin's they let you special order your Sushi and the food is good as well. Two thumbs up for that! read more

I like places where I eat to be clean-so this place FREAKED ME OUT. The carpet had food, and the tables are a little too close together. That said, upon entering we were immediately shown to a table by a courteous hostess, and nice waitress brought us our drinks. There was a lady continuously cleaning the food bars and informing the kitchen which dish was running out. The bathroom left so much to be desired, however as soon as I mentioned it-I saw an employee go in to clean it. My children LOVED the sweet and sour chicken. We loved the stir-fry bar!
