Thai Curry Chicken - no spice, no flavor, bland
    Consumer E.

Stayed in a nearby hotel, were craving Chinese, not many options in this area of West Palm Beach, this place was the nearest, so we picked up an order to-go: Hot and Sour soup, Pork Foo Young with an Eggroll and Thai Curry Chicken. Hot and Sour Soup was thick like lava, not very flavorful, wouldn't get it again. Thai Curry Chicken was marked with a pepper indicating its spicy, but not only did it lack spice, it also lacked any flavor and was very bland. Wouldn't get it again. Hubby said Pork Foo Young was a little burnt and the rice that came with it tasted horrible - some kind of a weird smoky flavor. The only thing that was basically fine was the eggroll. Gave it four stars because everything seemed fresh, just not to our taste.

That is a lunch, special chicken lo mein with vegetable fried rice

I've been going to grand China for years met with the owner. Very nice guy. The staff is amazing. The food is delicious. The prices are great. Keep up the good work guys.

My third visit here, prompt service in English, excellent food indoor seating to dine-in or take-Just minutes from WP airport. Many Restaurantes today are overly focused on delivery drivers. It's a pleasure to eat somewhere these days that has remained focused on the customer.

    Best Wonton Soup in WPB!

Best wonton soup in town!!! I'm not a huge lover of Chinese food other than wonton soup and spring rolls so I can't attest to whether or not the remainder of the menu is in good company. Although, I've enjoyed the few items I've consumed so it's definitely worth purchasing. I've been ordering her for nearly two decades and the same gentleman has been taking my order and checking me out for years. He's not an extrovert per se, but he gets the job done and is with the program. The menu is vast and the pricing is reasonable. The turnaround time is typically as promised for pick-up and I'm in and out rather quickly when ordering on the spot. I don't live in the neighborhood so I can't speak to the timing of delivery. Refreshments are available in bottles and cans and indoor seating is minimal. I'm a huge fan and you should stop in if you're a fan of wonton soup. Be sure to add the crispy noodles, these are well worth the extra calories!

    General Tso's chicken. Yum :)

Probably the best Chinese take out in the West Palm area. Orange chicken is delicious.

Great chinese food! I still have not been able to find anything better. Fast takeout, and is next to my favorite Publix.

Barely edible shrimp fried rice and Kung pao chicken. Inside does not appear well-kept. Would not recommend.

Grand Lake Chinese Restaurant has officially become my new favorite dine‑in spot in West Palm. Even…read morethough the restaurant was busy, our group was seated quickly and our drink orders were taken right away. There's plenty of seating, though the table layout does feel a bit cramped. The food was excellent. I ordered the egg drop soup, beef and Chinese broccoli, salt and pepper chicken wings, shrimp dim sum, and young chow fried rice. The standout dish was definitely the beef and Chinese broccoli -- it ended up being everyone's favorite. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly work hard to make sure every guest has a great experience. With the restaurant only about 15 minutes from home, I'll definitely be returning.

The staff is not knowledgeable about the menu, and we asked if they would make a pretty standard dish not listed and was told no without asking the kitchen. Within 2 minutes after ordering, they bring the chicken and eggplant dish which clearly isn't ours, we have to wait down another server as the kids just drops it on the table. 5 minutes later they bring another chicken and eggplant which we said we'd like put appetizers first, so they take it back once again. Eggroll: pretty small and ok Pan fried dumplings, well done: barely fried, the filling while tasty has so much filler you couldn't tell what type of meat was actually used as it was a pale light color! Chicken w/ eggplant in garlic sauce: we said no extra heat so it came out w more of a bland brown sauce, no garlic, not much flavor. Oh well...it's ok for American Chinese cuisine.

The bathrooms are single occupancy and spacious. I loved the curry and I literally want to go back for whatever their appetizer was that was gluten free but deep fried and had like a vinegar sauce. So good, the best thing my friend and I have ever tasted that was battered and fried. Plus it was vegetables, so it has to be somewhat healthy, right?

We were in the area because we were going to the Norton Museum and wanted to fill up beforehand. It's a smaller place, but they have really cool lights that they put on every table, so the environment feels ambient and calming. We were seated right away, however it did take a while for someone to actually come to our table, but on the bright side we were able to figure out what we wanted to eat during that time and put all of our order in at once. We got the kimchi dumplings as an appetizer. I've never had a kimchi dumpling and it seemed very interesting to me because I love kimchi. However, when the dumplings came, the kimchi was grounded into a paste. So it didn't have that nice crunchy kimchi texture that I was expecting, and though a bit spicy, wasnt very flavorful. The dumpling skin was incredibly soft, way too soft, it was falling apart, you couldn't even pick it up. And they were sitting in a layer of water on the plate. Would never order this dish again. For entrees we got the vegetable fried rice without tofu, the panang curry, and the chicken pad thai. The vegetable fried rice was okay, there seemed to be way more vegetables than actual rice, though. And while they were cooked nicely, the pieces of vegetables were huge! Would've been nicer had they been bite size pieces so that you didnt need a knife to eat fried rice. The pad thai was pretty standard. Chicken was incredibly bland and could've used more bean sprouts for that little extra crunch. It did have edamame in it, which is a nice touch, I've never seen that added into a pad thai dish before. The panang curry, also decent, again, the vegetables were just way too huge and certainly needed to be more bite size. You should not need a knife to eat fried rice and curry. We then got the mango sticky rice which we didnt finish. The rice was a little too gummy, and salty. We were not checked on once during the duration of our meal. So had we needed something, we wouldn't have been able to get it without waving someone down. I didn't even bother to look at the prices on the menu before I ordered anything, because it doesn't really matter to me, if I want something I'm going to get it, but I was literally blown away when I saw the bill. Our meal came to $88.49. This is 100% West Palm Beach prices, because the food quality did not at all match what they were charging. Each entree was nearly $20. How is chicken pad thai the same price as vegetable fried rice? I legitimately cannot begin to understand why it was as packed as it was, maybe there aren't a lot of Thai places to choose from in West Palm? While the staff was friendly, although unattentive, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
