This place has been in the area forever and at one point was delicious. I'm not sure if it was sold or what, but it's definitely not as good as it used to be. It's your typical strip mall Chinese take out. The rice itself lacks flavor, but they do have lots of protein in the rice. The egg rolls are crispy and flavorful but lack filling. Stayed in a nearby hotel, were craving Chinese, not many options in this area of West Palm Beach, this place was the nearest, so we picked up an order to-go: Hot and Sour soup, Pork Foo Young with an Eggroll and Thai Curry Chicken. Hot and Sour Soup was thick like lava, not very flavorful, wouldn't get it again. Thai Curry Chicken was marked with a pepper indicating its spicy, but not only did it lack spice, it also lacked any flavor and was very bland. Wouldn't get it again. Hubby said Pork Foo Young was a little burnt and the rice that came with it tasted horrible - some kind of a weird smoky flavor. The only thing that was basically fine was the eggroll. Gave it four stars because everything seemed fresh, just not to our taste. read more

The portions are generous and the quality is pretty good for what the price point. The staff attitudes vary depending on who is taking orders and taking payment but generally good staff. I've been ordering her for nearly two decades and the same gentleman has been taking my order and checking me out for years. He's not an extrovert per se, but he gets the job done and is with the program. The menu is vast and the pricing is reasonable. The turnaround time is typically as promised for pick-up and I'm in and out rather quickly when ordering on the spot. I don't live in the neighborhood so I can't speak to the timing of delivery. Refreshments are available in bottles and cans and indoor seating is minimal. I'm a huge fan and you should stop in if you're a fan of wonton soup. Have to say this was the BEST CHINESE food I have had in 20 years. We finally found a great place. Egg Foo Yong, pork fried rice, egg roll. All were delicious! I won't waste my time or money on any other place in the area. I was told it's take out only so I was prepared to bring it home, after going inside I did notice a couple tables n chairs. Simple, fast and delicious. It's all you can ask for from a fast food joint. My favorite is the fried tofu with mixed vegetables and Szechuan sauce. I think it goes much better with the steam rice instead of the fried rice. read more

I was very disappointed. My dads step father was Chinese and taught my dad how to cook when he was very young. So I know a-little about Chinese food. This place was horrible. Purchase the #13 and paid $15 for a large size box. I this dis is supposed to have shrimp Chicken and pork. I counted 5 small tiny shrimp, looked for the chicken and pork but somehow there was not any. I literally ate 4 pieces of shrimp and disposed the rest since it was all rice. Yup you guessed it. I will not be back to this place. Years ago it was great portion and great cost. It's not like that anymore. If I am going to pay $15 for a meal I expect it to have what it says on menu. This place has been here for as long as I can remember. Kind of a staple of my old neighborhood in West Palm Beach, similar to how Publix is. Don't. Just don't. The cashier behind the counter had her mask under her chin, laughing out loud around the cooks. The owner or manager was the same. Walking from the front of the counter, to behind the counter, to the cook line, all without his mask on. I ordered the Sesame "Chicken" lunch special. Portion was huge, but the "chicken" wasn't edible. I don't mind mixed meat, but there wasn't a single white piece of meat in the mix. The bigger "meatier" pieces were grey colored meat. Like another review says, more like fried dough pieces tossed in sauce. This was my second time trying them, as I had gone several years ago. I wish I had remembered how bad it was. Never again. Don't waste your money. Better off going to Publix and being a frozen Asian entree. read more

I ordered two orders of white meat general tsoas chicken from grand China this evening. The chicken was essentially nonexistent. They sliced the chicken so thin which rendered the meal inedible. What little chicken there was was dried out because it was so thin. This was basically fried dough with generals sauce. The general is rolling over in his grave. Won't be back. read more

Maybe family run, maybe just a bunch of guys who cook well and quickly, but the place is good for take out. GC has the ambiance of a gas station, so don't plan on eating there, but their food is worth the 10 minute wait to have it cooked and boxed for take out. Good dishes: Combination fried rice, mixed vegetable lo mein, sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken, moo shoo pork etc... I guess what I'm saying is that the standard dishes are good, like you'd get at home with a chinese mother. They don't have Congee, and their soups are edible, but not great, hence I dropped it a star, but the place is good, cheap and quick if you stick to standard dishes. read more

I have been coming here for years and I don't understand the mediocre reviews. I guess people expect a fine-dining experience from a casual dining place. I have no complaints, the food is very good. I've been to other places where they skimp on shrimp or beef for the fried rice and the food is mediocre tasting. This is a nice little spot and every time I go my food is warm and well-made. The food is exceptional! We ordered hunan beef with lo mein noodles and orange chicken. Also had egg rolls that were probably the best we've ever had! My son that is a very picky eater found his new favorite vegetable today: baby corn. The owner personally made him an entire serving of baby corn in a delicious sauce!
