On a busy Sunday morning they had one person working BOTH the drive-thru and the counter while an employee inconveniently sat out in the restaurant eating (and this was before 11am so it couldn't be lunch time already?). I'm sure there are many among you who think that tacos and donuts are a strange combination, but in south Texas there is no shortage of establishments that serve both and successfully so. With that in mind, I offer up this bit of advice. DO NOT ORDER TACOS FROM THIS PLACE!!! I suppose I can't be too critical since it is a donut shop, but seriously, the tacos are absolutely disgusting. They're not fresh. There are only three choices, they're pre-made, wrapped in cling wrap, and sitting in the display case with all of the donuts. If you want to find out how to screw up a breakfast taco, then go to Super Donuts, but if you want some really good donuts, this is your place. This is a donut place, and the donuts are truly amazing. They're soft, fluffy, and delicious. But seriously Super Donuts, either stop selling terrible tacos or learn how to make them properly. Best apple fritters! Big chunks of apples, nice crisp glaze, sweet and borderline gooey on the inside like an apple fritter should be! They do run out of them, if you get a late start. Staff are very friendly, no matter what time you get there. The shop itself is very small, but there is a drive through. They always have some sort of special going (ex: free donut balls with purchase of a dozen donuts, etc.). They also sell kolaches, if you're not in the mood for something so sweet. read more

The most wonderful doughnuts I have yet to find ANYWHERE in San Antonio. They are melt in your mouth delicious. The customer service is great! When we were there it was a young gentleman and young lady who helped us. The reason for the 4 stars instead of five is the choice of donuts could be better. They have a good selection but run out quickly and rapidly, especially on Sunday's. Their plain glaze are just as great as Krispy Kreme's; just pop them in the microwave for seven seconds on high and they are to die for! read more
