Got sick after eating here. Lots of options though. Not sure if illness and restaurant were related, but probably won't go back.

The food made my whole family sick, there was almost no one there and it was very dark inside for no reason. The worker, I'm assuming the owner, refilled our drinks once and played on his phone most of the time. I also got very full on the first plate for no reason. I was here yesterday looking for a really good Chinese buffet and there was barely anything there the food look like it's been sitting out since they open. the buffet table, asking us to start the was limited. When I arrived. I didn't know how limited it was. I did not have a good experience. The food was $15.40 I barely wanted to eat a second plate. These people should close down. These people need to figure out something else to do because all they're doing is taking up space and presenting the public with food that's not even edible. read more

I grew up here and my family used to eat here alot, its family owned and the guy who works up front by himself does great dispite how many tables can be there at a time. Prices are a bit high but buffets normally are, ive always loved their crab ragoons and always get a plate full as soon as i walk in. this place really is underrated in my opinion and deserves more respect as a good place to eat. plus the fortune cookies you get when you pay are very sweet, definitely a good way to top off a good meal. read more

Adequate if uninspired Chinese buffet. Good salad selection, with fresh lettuce. Decent dessert variety scattered at opposite ends of the buffet. Fried shrimp is not very greasy. Enough food to fill you up. These are the highlights. Below average food quality and variety. Most labels are dingy and barely legible, as if they haven't changed them in a decade. Some questionable food items are not labelled at all; who knows what they are? There are better chinese buffets in every major US town, but maybe this will suffice for Ennis. read more

This is just your average not so high quality Chinese buffet. There was only 1 guy working and he was welcoming people, seating people, refilling drinks and picking up plates. I felt bad for him. Food was warm, not hot and selection wasn't great. Salad bar looked fresh. $32.43 for 2 people and 2 fountain drinks seemed steep but it's whatever. I ate and my hunger was satisfied. Went for dinner 27 April 2019 at 530pm The food on the buffet line looked like it had been sitting there since lunch time . The fried rice was cold , the rest of the food I tried to eat was bland at best . The only good thing there was the soup. The restaurant was not at all busy (I can see why) but there was a table there the entire time I ate that was still cluttered with dishes and glass from previous customer and nobody bother to clean it up Do not waste your time or money in this establishment. read more

I would give no stars if I could. Went around 7:30 PM last night for dinner and I personally saw an employee heat up the food in the microwave and place it back in the buffet section. Made it seem like it was hot and fresh but in reality it definitely was not. Therefore food is not really fresh! Also, seen the same employee clean up a customers table after they left and placed the customers unused napkins back in the section where other customers grab more. With a pandemic going on I definitely don't think that was a sanitary thing to do. This whole place just left me on edge. Will not be returning. read more

Came here at 2PM after the lunch crowd and found the food to be still acceptable for a buffet in small town Texas. The food was fresh enough and tasty, and the selection was decent as was the price - $7.25 for Friday lunch. read more

Decent-sized for a small-town Chinese buffet. Selection was average. Restaurant itself was average as well. Food unfortunately was simply filling rather than being tasty. Very little was distinctive (except the Egg Drop Soup which was actually quite good), and it all sorta blended together. Most of the standard stuff will be there. There were ingredients out for Mongolian grill, but I never actually saw anyone cooking. Dessert was pretty limited. Most places with a freezer for ice cream have a decent selection of flavors...here it was vanilla and chocolate. Service was good. Come if you don't want to leave Ennis to find a better Chinese buffet. read more

I always enjoy their Buffett. The manager is always friendly and knows what's going on in Ennis. I love to get to go boxes. My favorite is the general's chicken. I really enjoy the soup in the winter. Only thing I Would warn is getting close to closing time you get slim Pickens so maybe confer with the manager in how much food will be brought out or maybe special order. read more

I'm disgusted that I have to give this place one star. Me and a few friends went last night hoping to enjoy a decent meal. When we went to the buffet the food was cold, dry, and looked like it had been sitting out for hours. I brought this up to the manager who immediately became argumentative and defensive. We watched the manager turn the warmers back on, why were they off in the first place?! It was an hour and a half before they closed. Food was so so. Most of it was warm. Some of the chicken didn't taste like what it was labeled as. Not a large selection of food for a buffet. The egg roll was okay but I stayed away from all the sushi and fish lookalike products. This is definitely a one time place to eat. Hopefully I can find a decent place to eat in the area. This is one of the worst Chinese buffet's I have been to. Food was luke warm at best and tasted like it had been cooked the day prior.

This is a small town buffet so keep that in mind. It is not going to compare in many ways with places in Dallas or Houston. But the food is good quality, there is a good selection, it is clean, reasonably-priced, consistent, and the staff are friendly. I go here regularly and am not disappointed. read more

Met a friend there for dinner. Lots of food but it wasn't really that good, Spring rolls and Egg Rolls had no flavor, shrimp was soupy and soft. I don't think shrimp are supposed to be that soft. Pork (I think) was a piece of bone with a tiny piece of meat. Sweet and sour chicken was okay. The food just seemed limp and over cooked. Very little flavor. Nope, new to town, lesson learned, recycled food, cold food, came in at 7:30 pm, already trying to close, went up for more cold food hoping some fresh food would be out, nope!
