I work on my feet so I've been having to aid my foot with blister baindaids until the wedding and now have to buy new shoes that are backless since I can no longer have anything touch the back of my foot. I've been to many nail salons in the area over the years and this salon is by far the best one!! It's definitely not your "typical" nail salon. They have close to 20 nail techs doing nails, and then at least 10 more nail techs doing pedi's. They offer different types of FREE soda pop, and wine!!! You can even BYOB!! The staff there are very professional and they know what they're doing. If you like your nails dipped, then this is the place to go!! Their prices are reasonable too for what they offer!! I come here every 2 weeks and get my nails done by liz. She does an amazing job each time and is truly talented especially when it comes to dip powder manicures (which she turned me on to) she's super knowledgeable and clearly loves doing nails and it shows. I've seen two different nail techs, Ruby and Nancy, both of whom were extremely friendly and professional. I get the dip manicure and they have a very wide selection of colors. The integrity of the dip powder is phenomenal; I had to wait 3 weeks before coming back in and nothing became dull and not a single nail broke. My nails always turn out exactly how I ask for them and the way they shape make my nails look so natural. This nail salon is great! It has a great location and it is very big so there's hardly ever a wait. They take car of you right away and if there is a wait, someone will tell you and make sure you're okay with waiting. Olivia did my nails and i absolutely love them. I told her to do whatever she wanted and she did every nail differently. This salon is the only salon I've gotten the dip manicure and they do an amazing job every time! If you are getting a dip manicure, this is the only spot in the Chicagoland area you should even consider. I drive all the way out to the suburbs for a mani here once a month because the service is so great! This is by far the most hygienic nail salon I have ever been to. They opened all the tools from a sterilized package. The nail file and buffer were one time use, also opened in front of me. The foot basins have a plastic disposable liner. 18 pedicure chairs. I was seated as soon as I arrived. My mani and pedi look great! Highly recommend! read more

My husband and I moved to Winfield last year, and I wanted to see if I could find a nail salon right in my community vs my old one, so wanted to try Lee Nails! I was excited to see if this would be my new nail salon. It never feels good writing reviews that aren't favorable, but it's essential so businesses can hopefully get better. And sorry this is long but there's a lot to talk about. Pros: 5 minutes from me, clean and pretty salon, really nice pedicure chairs, one of the ladies who I am assuming was a manager was very kind. My cuticles look good. I called this morning and asked if they accept walk ins. The guy said yes, but was going to make an appointment. Perfect! I told him I wanted a no chip mani and a pedi, however, their website doesn't give descriptions on what the pedis include, so asked if it was ok to pick which pedi I wanted once I got there. He said yes. He asked me what time I wanted to come in, I asked him what time worked best for them, he didn't tell me and asked again about what time I wanted. I asked him if noon would work and he said yes. I arrived and decided on doing the Luxe Pedicure. I wanted to relax and that pedicure sounded lovely. They immediately sat me in a chair. The chairs were really nice and I was so excited for the chair massage. The guy gave me the colors while my feet were soaking, told him my choice and good to go. As I'm sitting there the woman who did my pedi came and then the guy who ended up doing my no chip came to me and asked for my hand. I'm thinking oh ok maybe he's just doing the cuticle work first so once I'm done with my pedicure he can paint my nails. No. My service ended up being combined without my knowledge and I did not ask for this. I've been going to nail salons for over 20 years, and never once have I had services combined. If this service was going to be combined, they should have told me and asked if that is ok when I called, since this is not the norm. I would have gone to my normal salon if this was the case, and tried Lee next time. Once I realized what was happening, I was just so incredibly sad, and he was already into the mani too deep for me to say wait, I don't want this done at the same time. I came to relax. I came to just have some me time, and I sadly didn't get that. Had I have known this was going to be a combined service when there, I never would have opted for the more luxurious pedi. I couldn't relax in my chair and enjoy this pedi with the massage and all that's involved with it. The guy doing my nails even changed the settings on my massage chair to lower so I couldn't even enjoy the massage chair. At this point I was just so sad. When I looked at my nails my thumbs are uneven. One is much shorter than the other. I know this happened because he gave me this no chip in the pedicure chair. No way for him to look at the nails to ensure they're even. When I was done and my toes were drying I noticed they looked matte and not shiney. I asked if the girl could add another layer of top coat to see if that would help. She first tells me it's not shiney because it's regular polish. What? No. Come on now. This has never happened to me before. And I told her that. Then she says this brand used isn't very good and I should choose DND I think she said next time. If you knew this polish wasn't shiney and knew this brand isn't as good, why carry it? Why not tell me, you recommend this brand over that brand or I could have even picked a regular polish off the wall that was a close match. I don't know the brands when I'm just given the colors. As I was checking out, I left the 20% tip on my card. I wrote 2 lines for mani and pedi so each person got their tip. I was writing the total after tip and the guy who did my no chip just goes it's ok and takes the receipt away. I did not appreciate that. So I wrote it on my copy and will pay attention to my statements. These actions are why I will not be returning to Lee Nails. I'm so bummed.

No one was rude at all, but it just wasn't the warmest environment. As far as the manicure, I liked the color, but the gel dried unevenly with a few bumps here and there which annoyed me. Also it just wasn't quite the length or shape that I requested. All in all, I was glad that they were able to get me in and it was a decent service at a reasonable price. She didn't smooth out the acrylic to the edge of the nail. My cuticles were not cleaned up or moisturized at the end. I could tell the lady was annoyed because I did point out stuff I didn't like.
