    Fees and cash discount offer
    Kathy A.

Food and services was great- menu prices have increased exponentially and now you want us to pay cash instead of credit card. I completely understand that credit card companies charge you a fee for using them. Credit card companies have been charging fees for the last 30 years but now you jump on the bandwagon and add the cost to your bill- not many carry a lot of cash for a lunch at the price of $77.64 for lunch for 3 people. Again your food is good and service was good- but at these prices and the service fees for credit card- the tip for some add will decrease and probably less lunches with my 2 granddaughters at your restaurant

Heard so much about this place. Visiting from Seattle over the weekend and this is one of the place that i wanted to eat at and they didn't disappoint! Food was good. The drinks are exceptional as well. The front receptionist didn't look like she was happy to be there though..

    Very nice atmosphere

We had checked reviews and saw there were some reviews indicating this restaurant was not as good as it used to be. We decided to see for ourselves as the menu, other positive reviews sounded like it was an incredibly good place to go. It is. It was. It was busy, being a Sunday morning especially, but the staff was handling it all well from our perspective . I used to manage restaurants a long time ago and was impressed with the flow. Our waitress, Natalie, was delightful, knew the menu well to describe and answer questions, and we were not wanting for anything. She checked on us, always grinning and managing the iace well. I had the banana bread pancakes. A perfect choice ! They came and looked like a picture stacked up and flowing down with Carmel, maple bourbon syrup, marzcapone cream and nuts. So delicious. I took half home and enjoyed the rest later. Heated up perfectly with a 20 second zap in micro. My son had the corn beef hash skillet and said his was just as good as mine. We both agreed that we had no idea why reviews were negative, especially going on a busy morning. We will be going back every time we visit. I recommend you do too.

Today I went for the Blueberry Yum Yum which is a chicken sandwich with blueberry compote and jalapenos. They make their own compote and are almost out so hurry while you can to try this item. You can call ahead to get your name in the line for seating to save your wait time. The complimentary chicharron bowl was a great way to start the meal. Use the bbq sauces as dip. Order: Half rack ribs. Not the best texture on this rack. Just a little too soft for me. Salt level was aggressive. I would not recommend the portion we were served today. I think they just had an off day. Brisket. Tender and juicy. Perfectly smoked. This was a delicious bite. Bbq style Cuban sandwich. This was a memorable bite of food. Great spin on a classic. Sides: Mac and cheese. Creamy, saucy and flavorful. Highly recommended. Fresh cut fries. Definitely worth the upgrade. The dill lemon aioli is highly recommended. Cheesy grits. Yummy. The star of the show was the thinly sliced pickled jalapeño on top. Added that sweet vinegar crunch. Poblano corn. Good flavor. Just ok. Baked beans. Good bite but nothing special or memorable. I would skip. Collar greens. Tender and flavorful. Highly recommended.

It was a bit chilly today, but those pickled jalapenos really helped. The seating was nice. It's great it was dog friendly, but I would recommend going on a warmer day, Iif you're bringing your furry friends. We had the bbq burger(added jalapenos) w/onion rings and poutine. I usually end up not liking the poutine at places, but will try it. Here, I actually really liked it, and will definitely get it again. The same for the onion rings, they were crispy and not too greasy. We also got the inhouse made root beer. That was quite good as well.

I can wax poetic about wandering around the building but, that can be for another time. The brewhouse is a cool place to hang after you've become weary of hitting all the shops on Canal street. Nestled in the old brewery you will experience first and foremost some solid beers (take some crowlers home with you), and some decent food. I think we at lunch here three times? I think one kind of gets tricked into eating here. One starts with a couple beers, then an appetizer, and the next thing you know, you're onto an entree without giving it a second thought. Honestly, I don't think I had anything or tasted anything that was bad. My favorites here are: 1. Poutine: fries, cheese curds, bacon and gravy? that is always a winner. 2. Elote Dip is super good. I'd fight somebody for the last scoop of the dip. 3. the Pretzels are good. Love the cheese sauce....I would ask for mustard too, but that is just me. 4. Pimento Cheeseburger is a favorite like the little bit of kick it offers with the Jalapenos, and it was made medium rare for me to boot I did try a bit of the Wild Rice burger. It was OK, non-meat options are not my gig for a burger. the person who ordered this, truly enjoyed it. I also want to mention the their beer is fresh, well-made, and there is usually a taproom only beer available. I have missed it the last few years but, they had a barleywine that was outstanding. I hope that comes back. If you're in Duluth it is totally worth the stop. Eat some food, drink some beers, buy some merch and support this local treasure.
