Cocktails are great, especially if Brittany makes them. Table service is hit and miss. (Slow.) Pizza is not good at all. Cheese has texture like cheap Parmesan cheese powder. The recently added diner burger is pretty good though. Interesting mix of age groups and fun people watching. read more

Just wanted to update my review to say that the Burger is probably my favorite in Columbus.

Promoted a "patio party" for the OSU game which in theory sounded great, wasn't going to be an amazing game my friends and I live In grandview so it seemed like a reasonable "low key" alternative to short north / campus. However the patio party was really a DJ (who played good music) but it was very loud- couldn't hear the person next to you loud. They also didn't play the game on one of the only TVs on the patio nor did they play the game over the speakers. It would be a great spot if they got a projector but until then we'll probably look for a better spot for "low key" game days. read more

Loved the Saturday brunch here...it's right up there on my list of great brunch places in Columbus next to North Star Cafe. I had the omelet & my hubby had the biscuits with chicken and a side of avocado toast. The chicken and biscuit was amazing! Couldn't find a better tasting biscuit in Columbus if you tried....taste like something you'd find in the Deep South. The avocado toast was perfect...couldn't have been better. I have been here several times since the re-opening. Of those times, I have only had one experience that has been exceptional the others have been mediocre. The actual establishment is great! I love what they did with the renovations especially the outdoor bar and patio. On a sunny day, it seems to always be packed - with more people there during happy hour. The drinks are reasonably priced with a nice assortment of beer, wine and cocktails. I like to go during happy hour with many of the drinks priced at $4. The bourbon cocktails are good but I was not a fan at all of the red sangria. I had to drink it fast to get it over with and move on to my next drink. Their green tomato Bloody Mary is refreshing and light. It's a unique offering that not many restaurants have on their menu. I did order it hot and it didn't have much heat to it. Next time I would get the sizzlin. As for food, the fried chicken is OK. If you're looking for really good fried chicken, I would pick Hot Chicken Takeover instead. I went for brunch this past weekend and ordered the brunch salad. I highly recommend it! It's very flavorful and filling. The warm bacon vinegar dressing is delicious! Service has been hit or miss. All of the servers have been very friendly but the wait times have varied. A few weeks ago, our drinks and food came out promptly. This past weekend the wait for our food was about 45 minutes for a salad, BLT and eggs. It did seem like they were short staffed as the bartender was helping to serve food to the tables. Overall, it's been OK. I will come back for drinks and the patio. I'll be interested to see the service and wait times during trivia on Wednesday nights. read more

Had a late lunch around 3pm yesterday. The food was good. The service could have been a lot better. Our server Maggie,seemed to be more interested in socializing with friends. Our drink orders were mixed up , never received condiments our kids requested for their food. But we could see Maggie talking with friends at a nearby table. Refills for drinks took a long time as well. We over heard the table behind us make comments about the wait for drinks as well. I wouldn't recommend coming here for a good grub spot. Really fun atmosphere. Bar service was great. Once we sat at table, everything kinda turned...blah. Had limited brunch menu. Prices are way too high for the quality of food you get. It was $13.50 for a greasy cheeseburger and straw fries that looked and tasted like I coulda gotten at Steak and Shake for 1/4 the price. It looked like they were short staffed, there for our server was not very prompt in drink orders or getting our food out in a timely manner. Appetizer cake at same time as food, food wasn't warm. Went to eat. Modestly busy. No problem, sit at the bar and remain patient. Three bartenders behind the bar and no one would wait on us. Wouldn't make eye contact. 25 minutes pass before someone gets waived down. Had to ask to please let us have drinks. Please, can we order? Can we have utensils? The bar staff moved like molasses as if they were on some kind of work slowdown. I hope the owners and management fixes this fast. The bar staff was awful on Friday evening April 15. read more

Worse service ever!!! No one greeted nor helped me and my family when we visited this establishment. No manager on duty to speak with. Staff stands around conversing like high school children. When I spoke with Jackie the manager by phone she only provided excuses and no resolution for my treatment. such a neat place with indoor/patio seating, and also a second floor! they have a huge bar selection and they're open late too! we ordered the chicken buffalo dip (only $6 on thursdays), fish and chips, and their mussels. the dip was amazing and our awesome server brought us more chips without having to be asked, and the mussels were good. i do recommend the fish and chips, but it was sitting in a pool of oil when it came to the table, and the fries were barely warm and stale for it being dinner rush. parking is always a hassle around there also. still was worth it! read more

I'm so torn on whether this should be 3 or 4 star. I've had just as many mediocre experiences here as I have had good experiences. I'll say this, the chili, burger, mussels, fries, fish and chips, mac & cheese are all damn good. The chicken sandwich, chicken wrap and turkey club are disappointing. The beer selection is quite food. The atmosphere ranges from great to ehhhh depending on time of day (the later the louder and younger it gets). The service can be hit or miss but is more often hit. Great patio and outdoor bar. Can get scene-y on weekend nights. read more

My husband had the corned beef hash, but the cast iron skillet it was cooked in had very obviously been used for some sort of a chocolate chip dessert in the past because the flavor melded with his brunch. I wrote this review a few weeks ago and I have to say the owner of this business was remarkable! She took full control of the situation and invited us back for a free meal to make up for what we went through! We were greeted by the manager whose name is Alex and he was AMAZING! We will definitely be returning to Grandview Cafe and want to thank Grandview Cafe for the awesome job they've done!!!! Where to begin with this restaurant? Well the first half hour of our adventure into Grandview Cafe was great! Waitress came over and we got drinks ordered in a timely manner as well as food ordered and brought to table in a timely manner. Now when we get the food is where the hell of this whole visit happened. I am allergic to onions which I informed the waitress because the burger I ordered came with caramelized onions and I knew I had to inform them of my allergy. The waitress brought our food out and of course my burger was full of caramelized onions so I told her and she took it back to get remade. Now keep in mind it took us 45 minutes to get our food and my husbands was correct so I told him to keep eating. 5 minutes later the waitress comes around the corner and says that they remade my burger. Now in my mind of a burger took 45 mins to make how did the cook make it in five minutes. I then looked under the "Extra Bacon" added to the burger and there was residue of crushed onions on my burger! Not only did they just remove the onions from my burger and serve it back but they used extra bacon to cover the left over onions they couldn't get off the burger! In the end I paid 16 dollars for a burger that I did not take one bite out of and the waitress said no manager was there to remove it from our bill. I promise Grandview Cafe this I will NEVER eat there again and if you have allergies I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. Had I ate the burger and not checked it I would be broken out in hives and itching nonstop. This is ridiculous and I will be reporting this as I have pictures of the first and "second" burger they provided me. read more

The food was good. But the service was so bad I would never come back. I was on a quick working lunch and our server was more concerned with drinking her beverage, chatting with her coworkers and doing anything else BUT taking care of us. Trying to get our check and then get closed out was like pulling teeth. I've been in the restaurant industry for 17 years and am a general manager of a restaurant in Dublin. It is completely unacceptable that the manager witnessed this entire encounter sitting at the bar and didn't step in to correct the issue that had both my guest and I VERY CLEARLY upset with our experience. read more
