I have been meaning to try this place out but being on a constant diet bc youre a fat bastard makes it difficult. Seeing as how its bulking season, I finally had a chance to give it a shot and boy am I glad I did. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is probably my new favorite breakfast spot. Its not perfect, but its still great[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We got the Cooter's benedict...which isnt really a Benedict but more just biscuits and gravy. The sausage was surprisingly hand made! I couldn't believe it. Usually most places just give you pre-made Jimmy Dean's type of sausages. My wife doesnt like sausage in general and she actually loves the sausage here. The country potatoes are something that I skip almost everytime from every single breakfast spot, but for what is probably the first time ever, they were actually seasoned! Whatever person thought that just putting oil, onions, and bell peppers in a pan for a few minutes and the serving it should be castrated. The plate could have used more gravy, but the biscuits were so fluffy they basically fell apart and weren't dry and hard like some places. And you know how some places charge to split a plate? Not here! We also got the stuffed French toast which was just as great. The toast wasn't too eggy, plenty of scratch made whipped cream, and weren't skimpy on the blueberries either. Also wasn't overstuffed where all you could taste was cream cheese. I did try the homemade looking jam, but I would say its a bit concerning. I cant imagine them cleaning out the container after every table leaves and you never know what type of person before you is in the jar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All in all, this is the new default breakfast spot for sure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

C & c Omelet with country potatoes is delicious!

My client and I needed some delicious brunch after running errands all morning and she told me to pick where we should go. After a few minutes, I drive us from E. Roseville Parkway & Douglas, all the way to Granite Rock Grille in Rocklin because I remembered how delicious my last visit here were. We arrived at 1 p.m, an hour before closing and we sat at a large booth right away. After being served waters, a server came by and took our order. My client ordered a Denver Omelet with country potatoes and rye toast off the senior menu. I ordered a C & C omelet with country potatoes with a biscuit & gravy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While we waited for our food to arrive, I admired the American flag mural on the wall. It is cute and country in here and I absolutely love it! Even the bathrooms are painted with a country theme![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our food arrived and after snapping a few pics, I noticed the biscuits & gravy was not hot on my first bite. So I skipped that until our server came back. She got me a new one right away. The temperature was better, but it felt like they only warmed up the gravy. My C & C Omelet comes with 3 eggs, mushrooms, spinach, bacon, cream cheese and regular cheese. It was honestly the best tasting omelet anyone has ever made for me! The cream cheese was weird, but in a good way. It did have a sort of dry edge on one bite, but otherwise, it was a perfectly fluffy homemade looking omelet. The country potatoes are red potatoes with bell peppers and onion. Delicious! It was a lot of food for us. My client took home one of my biscuits and half of her brunch as did I. We had great service and delicious food... I think we are going to make this our spot!

    Delicious pancake!

Chose the 4th of July for breakfast! So all American! [[HIGHLIGHT]]So quaint and country like decor. Beautiful wall murals.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The hostesses were in 5th gear. Non stop fast paced. Never missed a beat in service. Friendly, caring but didn't make you feel rushed and man were they turning out the tables. Food was amazing. So much! Can't wait to return. God bless America and small businesses!

    French Fries, milkshake

the food here is absolutely amazing! the fries were perfectly seasoned and the milkshake tasted wonderful--way better than others i've had and the presentation was through the roof. chayo/rosario aided our server in serving us, and it was amazing! so sweet and everyone kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]very old fashioned vibe, but those who come here frequently love it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] overall great :)

I have to come to Rocklin a few times a year for work. I always wanted to try this place, but never had time. But this time I did! I got there really early and was seated immediately. The woman who was there was nice and very attentive, she was also hella patient with me while I was staring at the menu. I ended up getting the omelet and biscuits w/ gravy. The food was good and I was way too full. I should have not eaten that before a full day of work. lol. There's parking on the side and the decor is hella Americana which was cool.

Why is iced tea better with an iced tea spoon? Why??! I don't know, but it is. Something about vigorously stirring in the sugar makes it better. This is a great breakfast place. It has good value senior options for senior family members. I always get the veggie omelette and it's very good. Big iced tea around, large portions, GREAT service. One star off for the flies. Terrible last time, only a little annoying this time, maybe they are solving the problem. I recommend!

Heard about this place awhile ago but finally got a chance to try it. Arrived around 11 am on a weekday. We got seated immediately and there were lots of open tables. Came with a friend. I ordered the chicken fried steak. My friend got a side of corned beef and a cinnamon roll. Portions are large and a good deal for the price! The corned beef is fresh rather than canned which is great. The cinnamon roll I massive and the size of the entire dinner plate! My chicken fried steak was crispy and cooked well. I ordered a biscuit with it which was also twice the size of a normal biscuit. The menu is massive. The servers were attentive and I would return to try other foods.

I had a wonderful omelette for breakfast. It had plenty of the right ingredients and the potatoes were tasty. The staff was very busy, but their service was attentive and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great atmosphere for a family breakfast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I sat at the counter and felt right at home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The meat came in square chunks and was pulled from a drawer next to the toppings rather than being shaved from a traditional gyro spit. I didn't see a spit or see the meat being cooked, so I was hesitant. The sandwich wasn't bad tasting, and they were very generous with the meat, but honestly, it reminded me more of a Subway sandwich with diced meat than a gyro. I would have expected shaved gyro meat, shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes and onions, Kalamata olives, and more traditional gyro toppings. The tzatziki was tasty, although it tasted more mayonnaise-based than yogurt-based to me. The packaging also needs improvement because the gyro leaked through the bag by the time I got home. The best part was the customer service. The two young females working there were incredibly sweet, friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant was clean and cute. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't order the gyro again or return. Great service and a generous portion, but the food just wasn't for me.

I haven't tried this particular salad at Bennett's before and I was pleased. It's a very large portion, you easily could take some home. It came slightly warmed which was very enjoyable. I washed it down with an Arnold Palmer. Very refreshing. Sitting out on the patio was very pleasant as it wasn't too hot outside, and the space is air conditioned in any case. Bennett's service is always friendly and very accommodating and this particular time maintained that special quality. When the waiter brought my drink, I immediately noticed it didn't look like a traditional Piña Colada, and after tasting it, I confirmed it certainly didn't taste like one either. I politely asked if I could exchange it for a different drink. The waiter returned and said the manager wouldn't allow an exchange but would offer me 50% off instead. I explained that I wasn't happy with the drink and simply wanted to order something else. The manager came over and explained that the menu includes a disclaimer stating the cocktails are made with soju instead of the traditional liquor. In my opinion, the waiter should have mentioned that when I ordered, especially since it significantly changes the flavor. I hadn't noticed the disclaimer--I simply ordered what I thought would be a classic Piña Colada. Unfortunately, I was still charged half the price for a drink I didn't enjoy and wasn't allowed to order a replacement. The manager emphasized that it was too expensive for the restaurant to remake drinks, which I found disappointing. I've never had an experience like this at any other restaurant. On a positive note, I ordered the Reuben sandwich with fries, and it was delicious. That was the highlight of the meal. However, the service was also lacking. Our waiter was slow and couldn't answer several of our questions without repeatedly leaving to ask someone else. Because of the poor customer service and how the drink situation was handled, I won't be returning.

The lobster bites came with a lemon wedge and their house Thousand Island sauce, and that sauce was incredible. The combination of the crispy lobster, lemon, and sauce worked perfectly together. The broccolini was also seasoned really well and paired nicely with the grilled lemon. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the smoothest I've had. One detail I loved was that they stamped the restaurant's logo into the ice cube. Small touch, but really cool. For my main course, I ordered the Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with a crispy rice cake, pineapple, greens, and a house sauce that completely made the dish. The sweet and tangy flavor paired perfectly with the chicken. Me and my girlfriend also shared the mac and cheese, and honestly, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I've had. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and the breadcrumbs on top added the perfect texture. My girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and carrot purée. The short rib was so tender it practically fell apart with a fork. Everything on the plate was delicious. One thing that surprised me was the portion sizes. Everything was very filling, and we ended up taking some food home. By the time dessert came around, we were already pretty full, but there was no way we were skipping it. To finish the night, we shared the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant was busy and lively, but it never felt crowded. The tables were spaced out really well, so my girlfriend and I could still enjoy our conversation and watch the basketball game. I also appreciated seeing Chef Q and his wife walking around and checking on guests throughout the night. They stopped by tables to see how everyone was enjoying their food, which was a really nice touch. I even had the chance to take a picture with Chef Q before we left, which was super cool. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail, this is easily one of the top restaurants I've been to in Sacramento. Definitely worth a visit.
