Cute bar with terrific service. It is located in the super small town of Port Deposit. There is parking across the street. There are other parking lots throughout the town which would allow you to be close to the restaurant. There's a bar area, and a dining area. They do have outdoor seating as well. We sat at the bar. Super nice servers. You can tell they are happy and that this is a place where they focus on customers. Could see that there were several locals eating and drinking. Seemed many regulars were there. Ordered onion rings that were delicious. Then had 2 burgers - The Heater (no bun) and the monthly special which had sloppy Joe on it. The Heater was good. The sloppy Joe one was meh as the sloppy Joe part was very light as far as serving size so could barely taste. The burgers themselves are absolutely delicious! They use local butchers burgers (Bowman Butchers). You can clearly taste the difference. So good. We got fries with one (get those) and tots with the other (skip these). This is a terrific place to get good food and wonderful service. We didn't do drinks, but the bar is fully stocked and they have lots on tap. Worth a stop!! read more

What a fun local bar/restaurant! We stopped by here this past weekend for a bite to eat after our son's hockey game. I was able to make reservations online for a table. It was a Saturday night so they had local live music which was an added bonus. Food was delicious and our server was so sweet and attentive. I want to try this place in the summer so we can enjoy the outside seating as well. Family friendly and only negative (which is not the restaurants fault) it was a bit hard to find parking. So add a bit of extra time on for that. They don't have their own lot. read more

WTH?? We drove a long way to try this place. We're greeted at the door by an employee who frantically says, Hope you don't want food....we're too busy!! Well we did, but maybe we'll just have a beer . So we sit at the bar and the bartender says, I've been too busy to replace blown kegs, so our beer selection is minimal That's enough for us. Note to management: it's peak season! How bout having extra kitchen help on a busy weekend. I'd also suggest a bar back to help keep the bar flowing. It was interesting that even though there was an hour and a half wait for food, we heard both the bartender and servers tell guests, " yeah, but, we can push through some items.....just for you." Moved back to Maryland 2 months ago and we have found our new favorite food establishment and experience! Alyssa was a great server. The food was tremendous. Mumbo chicken was huge and extremely tasty. Wings were great as well. Had crab dip to start. Have you ever gotten crab dip served with not enough chips or celery to finish the dip? Not here it was the perfect amount. We would highly recommend this spot for your next night out. Live music on weekend and daily specials. Do not eat lunch before going so your extra hungry!!! So it's the day day after our visit and I'm still thinking about that mumbo chicken sandwich. One of the best I've ever had. Being a professional chef that doesn't come unless earned! Came here for dinner with my family while we were staying at Great Wolf Lodge. This is a small restaurant, the menu has most of the typical pub offerings. My husband and I both had Orange crushes to drink and they were very good. For my entree, I had the rockfish tacos. They were seriously amazing, probably the best fish tacos I have ever had. My husband had the cheesesteak which he also enjoyed. They have a kids menu and our kids had grilled cheese. When we first came in the place was nearly empty, however as we were leaving the small restaurant had completely filled up. Service was a bit slow but I felt bad as it seemed they had one waitress handling the whole place. I would still come back, as the food was great and the price was right. read more

We took the kids to the Great Wolf lodge, but were determined to venture out for dinner. When we travel, we have always looked for where the locals go. No offense to the tourist traps, but the food they serve is never amazing. I can not say enough about the Granite Taproom. We loved it so much that we went back for dinner the following night. The architecture driving into Port Deposit is quaint and charming, and the restaurant just continues that feeling. The beer on tap selection is impressive, the staff is so friendly...and the food IS SO, so GOOD. I wish we had taken pictures, but it disappeared fast. The kids loved the pretzel, and we enjoyed the wings. It is hard to tell a 5 year old "no" to mac and cheese, so I compromised and added birria meat for some protein. She loved it. I would describe their menu as mixture of comfort food with an chef-inspired artistic twist, and it all works~! I had never heard of Port Deposit, but it is now somewhere that I hope to visit in the summer months. Thank you all for being so kind, we will be back. read more

We ate dinner here for the second time tonight. A simple dinner: wings and loaded fries. But.. the wings are brined and then smoked, and then cooked perfectly. We got the Buffalo garlic parm flavor, and they were delicious. I didn't ask, but I'm pretty sure that the Bleu cheese dressing is house made; it had HUGE chunks of cheese in it. The loaded tots were swimming in beer cheese, with lots of bacon on them. I had an Evo sour wheat beer - delish, but a little flat. Good conversation with the bartender, who was the owner's wife. And also with the young couple sitting next to us at the bar. The last time we were there I had a burger. It was a hand-formed patty, cooked like I asked - medium well. Fun place! There's parking across the street, I believe free. They advertise live music a few nights a week, would be cool to come listen and dance. The staff was friendly, it wasn't to busy when we walked in and were seated right away. It has a nice sized seating area for lunch or dinner, there's a decent bar and some fun pinball games to place that aren't to pricey. We ordered the onion rings, wings with sauce on the side, and crab cake dinner. Overall everything was delicious, we especially enjoyed the dipping sauce for the onion rights and how crisp they were. The crab cake was good, there was large lump pieces with little filler. The veggies it came with were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. We were there for a special informal event--lots of tables. The waitress worked hard to get everything right and the food was delicious--we had the jerk tuna sandwich and the avocado BLT. Trying an old hang out after a few months hiatus. The food was delicious I had the Navy salad which is a garden salad topped with sautéed onions, and thin cut steak, plus fries. This is the best and only place worth going in Port Deposit, the best food, the people serving always work their butts off no matter how packed, and even if they don't have the live music (witch they have frequently) it's still the best place to grab a drink, or a bite to eat. Best food was a ginormous pretzel. Next best was a seafood gumbalaya. The bbq trio platter was way overpriced for quality. Is there a smoker in the kitchen..couldnt taste it if so. Ok so we went on a last minute day trip and ended up here. We had our little puppy with us so we wanted to sit outside. Jason- was amazing! He could not have been any nicer to us, we felt like we knew him for years! We had Granite Run Buffalo wings with Blue cheese dressing and they were spicy and perfectly cooked. I went to this place a bunch during the pandemic cuz I wanted to support this local business. Decors was nice - bartenders and owner were nice, 10$ crushes that were delicious well not sure if they raised their prices but I went and ordered two crushes to go and the guy said $34 I thought I heard him wrong and said wait what - they were always ten each and he goes I guess that's what they are priced at now. It wasn't in the system so I saw him walk around outside and ask someone and came back with that number and I feel like they just took advantage . This is located on the Main Street and the building itself is hundreds of years old. So when you set inside you feel very old World like you stepped inside a pub from yesteryear. Not too crowded for an early Thursday evening we ordered drinks before dinner across the street. We would have stayed to eat but we already had plans. I asked to see the cocktail menu but nothing peaked my interest so I ordered a Diet Pepsi and Captain Morgan with lime. Perfectly made and it was delicious very nice bartender. She offered us tasting of the many draft beers so my colleague chose one of them. She told us that it was open mic night. So we returned later that night after dinner. The band that was playing even took our requests. We had some after dinner drinks stayed a while and unfortunately had to leave as we have work the next day.
