Already planning my next visit :) Clean interior, quick service, order and pay up front and choose your own seats! TIP: ADD $4 FOR A SIDE OF BANANA MAC NUT PANCAKES TO YOUR CHIMICHURRI STEAK Chimichurri steak with 2 fried eggs and 2 banana macadamia nut pancakes: 5/5. I'm always conflicted between sweet or savory for breakfast, but this solves all my problems. The banana mac nut pancakes were perfect - so fluffy, not too sweet, so many bits of macadamia. Chimichurri steak was yummy, but I'll try ordering it medium rare next time if they allow me to. All this for $24 is such a steal. Chicken katsu with rice and mac salad: 5/5. Bouncy, snappy pieces of chicken that are not dry at all. Seasoned so well!

The cashier at the front was friendly, welcoming, and patient while we looked over the menu. Now let's get down to business... the food! 8/10 Banana OREO Pancakes Great pancakes ! You'd think it would be overwhelmingly sweet, but it wasn't at all. The pancake batter itself was fluffy, moist, buttery... just perfect. 5/10 Crab Omelette lt wasn't dry and had a buttery flavor, but something about the crab tasted fishy. The spinach and mushrooms are great.Just not my cup of tea. 4/10 PotatoesThe potatoes on the side were cooked perfectly and cut into large pieces, which I liked. However, I felt they lacked seasoning. After a few bites, you kind of get over it. 6/10 Mexican Iced Chocolate Pretty straight forward tasted like a light chocolate.More like milk with a whisper of Mexican chocolate. 6/10 Pineapple Juice Refreshing and tasted freshly made. You could tell because of the pulp. Only Complaint:They forgot our pineapple juice, and when the server was about to bring it over, the cashier stopped them and said, "Wait, come over here! Let me see!" Then once he saw us, he said, "Okay..."We had gotten our food to go received the food no pineapple juice. A few min before we got the Whisper... chocolate. On a hot day, waiting for drinks? Not cool. Total: Over $50 for 2 people. The portions are large, but for the quality and presentation, I'd say it's a bit overpriced. Would I recommend it? Yes...

Mother's Day Dining Experience To the Management Team,…read moreI am writing to share my recent experience at your establishment this past Mother's Day. As a long-time fan of your restaurant, this was one of my favorite places to dine; however, my experience during this visit was deeply disappointing due to a lack of communication and poor service standards. My primary concerns are as follows: Limited Menu Communication: Upon arriving, I was disappointed to find a restricted holiday menu that did not include the dishes I had specifically come for. While I understand the need for a limited menu on busy holidays, this should have been communicated to guests waiting outside. Waiting an hour to be seated only to realize the items I craved were unavailable was a significant letdown. Inattentive Service: Despite the restaurant not appearing to be at full capacity, the service was lacking. My father's meal arrived significantly later than the rest of the table's, and basic needs--such as coffee refills for my mother and water for the table--were never addressed. No one checked in to see if we were satisfied with our meal at any point. Gratuity Policy: Regarding the 18% gratuity for parties of six or more, I completely respect the policy in principle. However, when the service does not meet basic expectations, being told I must pay a specific dollar amount--in this case, $40--feels intrusive. I am someone who genuinely enjoys leaving generous tips in cash to reward good service; being forced to pay a set amount for a subpar experience felt less like a gratuity and more like an unjustified surcharge. I believe your establishment is capable of much better. I hope you take this feedback into account to ensure future holiday guests receive the transparency and quality of service that originally made me a loyal customer.

We were sad to not see any cocktails yet, hopefully mimosas coming soon. I tried the horchata and the signature chilaquiles. Everything was great, fresh ingredients. Good food and good company!

I ordered the Texas-style sirloin steak, and she recommended the Southern toast as my side. It turned out to be the perfect choice--absolutely delicious. She was also very attentive, checking on us often and making sure my coffee cup was always refilled. The steak was generously sized, perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. Even the potato was wonderfully seasoned and aromatic. Every bite was satisfying and comforting. My friend and I truly enjoyed a relaxing and memorable brunch, with great food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home.

First time going to Lisa's in almost 2 years and man, I wish I didn't go back today…read more For starters, the place is not what it was back then when you walked in. Before, the place felt super homey, welcoming and the vibes were just there. A diner you would actually want to go weekly with your family or even a solo trip. Whoever bought the place absolutely GUTTED the soul and warmth out of the space. Before, the walls were covered with different legit retro signs of Betty Boop or funny wall frames, pictures of families, regulars, collection of license plates, the whole 9 yards. The windows were always decorated seasonally and if you were to see the place from the street, you would actually want to stop by and check it out. Now... it feels like a cold gym locker. The walls looked like they picked the cheapest blue and black paint they could get on sale and threw it on the walls without priming them first. LED signs to give it that cheap retro look that isn't it. Should have kept it how it was if retro is what you were going for. Also invest in toilet seat covers, raw dogging the toilet seat isn't for everyone. Not sure if it's the pipes or maybe the mop wasn't cleaned right, but the women's restroom smelled like wet dog. Service was great. The former owner served us, she was a but rushed but nonetheless, great hospitality. She welcomed every guest with such warmth and like an old friend. Didn't catch the name of the guy with the gauges, but he had great service as well. The food was all right. Definitely too well seasoned and salty. The waffles and pancakes were bland, not even the butter or syrup was able to save them. Add more vanilla or cinnamon to the batter if they're made from scratch. The plates are no longer glass or ceramic, they are now a hard plastic material, so don't cut too hard on them to prevent getting some mircoplastics on your food. We spent about $82.00 on 3 food items, a coffee with refills and an apple juice. This place is STILL CASH so bring cash or use their ATM machine.
