As part of our first post-COVID outing, we wanted to hit a few wine tastings. We came across Grape Vine Springs Winery and I am so glad we did! We grabbed a table and Maria guided us through the list of wines to choose from. Just coming from brunch, and mimosas, I stuck with a sweet wine sampler. 4 wines for $12! And they weren't skimpy on the pours either! Also, since we did the four wine sampler flight, we each got a cheese off of their menus as well. Their Widner Cheddar was my pick and was delicious as well as the other three cheeses we got to sample. It came with dried fruits and crackers as well. Just perfect for hanging out drink some delicious wine. I sampled many wines, but my favorites were the Yellow Rose, Ambush and the Blueberry sweet red. Maria was awesome and extremely personable. We will absolutely be returning, especially when their Watermelon wine and Raspberry Port are in stock!! read more

Started out as a good time. Wine was good, getting a flight was fun with the meat and cheese plates. Problem was they say that they cannot print you a receipt until you pay. So I tipped on the total, THEN got our receipt just to see later that we were charged a gratuity on top of that without the waitress telling us. Felt 100% robbed. We have been there multiple times and unfortunately as it goes sometimes, the bad time gets the review. We have to give the service an all time 0 stars (less if we could). The last 2-3x we went we noticed that they only had 1 server/bartender/cashier doing it all. It's just pouring wine so most times they can keep up but we are done making excuses for them after this last time. We walked in to enjoy their happy hour at 2pm. We noticed 1 staff member and only 3 other tables that already had their drinks. It took about 15-20 min to get a "hello" and menu. From there we ordered our first drink promptly to not be there too long. We got our first glass and cheese platter, and they taste great. This review isn't bashing their wine because it is great for the sweet lovers, but not overly sweet. This review and the reason for us not returning is for their service. we finished our glass wanting to order a 2nd round but another 20-30 min went by without the server coming to assist us. We ordered with her our 2nd round (walking up to the bar) but did not receive it right away again. By this time another 2 staff members arrived, only to ignore us as well. They were cleaning glasses or handling something in the back but it seems odd that you have customers in your establishment and let the 1 server take care of all of them when again all the customers want is quick pour of wine. The 1 server seemed to be counting tips (probably a shift change) so I got up (now after only being served 1 round waiting on my 2nd and being there for 60 minutes). The server said "oh I was supposed to bring you something right"...I responded yes. Another 10 minutes go by (seated for 70 minutes) and we finally get our 2nd round. We assume we would give her 1 more chance but she never brought our requested water so after 1 hour and 20 minutes (and only getting 2 rounds) we had enough. We had to walk up to the bar again, and ask for our check. I think the business should re-evaluate their serving situation especially when it comes to 1 person handling it all. The 1 server/bartender we had was an elderly woman with grey hair who had no problem talking to and paying attention to another table of 2 ladies with 15+ tasting glasses on their table. The other staff member was a younger woman who spent most the time setting up things at the bar and then helped a new table (that came in after us). The final staff member was an elderly man who was on the phone most the time most likely taking a big order. Again I think the wine by itself is great, but we will not be returning since the service is not worth our time. read more

Last time, when we ventured inside and realized there had been a name change, we were a bit hesitant because this was our favorite winery in Grapevine. Luckily, the or favorite wine, the Malbec, is still just as good. The pricing is fair and the experience is fantastic. We always enjoy visiting with the staff and hearing more about each wine. Grapevine winery might be associated with Cowtown winery but nothing can specify that. I got a Groupon to the facility wine tour in Fort Worth as a birthday gift to someone. I called in to reserve and mistakenly got placed on the Ghost wine tour in Grapevine. When the time came to go I'd seen 2 different addresses in two different cities so I'd called all that day to confirm details. After calling literally all day a lady picked up the phone(once) an hour before the tour started just to confirm the address, nothing more! It was in Grapevine when I booked for a tour in Fort Worth. It's an hour before and we have to drive so I go to Grapevine, explain my issue and get an email to contact so I do and I speak with a bartender("the only person able to help there") for compensation because something needed to be done before anything was changed. The old woman bartender that's there lacks all customer service/problem solving skills. A teenager at Walmart could do more than she did. She LITERALLY said "No we cannot compensate you for this." She said no to all possibilities of compensation I had but had none to give! No compensation, just a bunch of no's!! She also said "You can either get what you paid for and go on this tour or schedule a new one in June." I PAID for a facility wine tour for that specific Saturday (in March) for a birthday not a 90min walking tour about fake a** ghosts. (We didn't see any on the tour so they're fake.) The recipient of my gift has heart problems why would I pay for a 90min walking tour???? It was all very unprofessional to have to go back and forth with her at that wine bar and equally as unprofessional to have her toss me a plastic cup of wine when she got tired of arguing/being rude to me. She needs training or she needs to go, seriously. DAVID on the other hand, the manager/owner DID acknowledge me and compensated me beyond what I'd asked for! I just wanted the souvenir glass I thought I'd paid for OR an extra plastic cup of wine (she couldn't even do one or the other, sad.) but he set us up on the ACTUAL tour I paid for and everything was smooth from there! Thank you David for being professional and understanding, we will be buying your wine bottles in the future! We have been coming here for years and always enjoy stopping by for a tasting. The place is really nice inside and easy to relax. They have a large bar to sit at and lots of tall tables all around. They have a lot of wine decor and then one large wall is bottles of wine. They usually have soft music playing and live music on the weekends. The staff is always super friendly and awesome. They remember us which is always nice. They are very knowledgeable about their wine and love talking. The wine is good. A year ago I would have given them 5 stars because the wine was amazing. Now with someone new making the wine we feel that we don't like it quite as much. Still good though. My favorites are their Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and their ports are my favorite thing to put Into my mouth. Their almond sparkling is pretty amazing too. There are a lot of wineries in grapevine but we found this to be our favorite. We have been club members for 2 years. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a tasting or a glass. read more

I needed some alcohol for the weekend and I didn't have a car to drive around for a liquor store so I ran into here and bought six bottles. Two bottles of rose for about $20 each, 2 Sangiovese also around $20 and two rodeo red for around $15 each. Not cheap. We cracked open the rose and my friend's response was that it was the worst thing he had ever drank. That was the best of the three bottles. The Sangiovese was barely palatable, but the rodeo red literally tasted like grape flavored toothpaste. Remember when you were a kid and your dentist offered you flavors for the cleaning? Yah, that was about the quality of this wine. I have paid $2/ bottle for higher quality wine. My aunts boyfriend makes wine in his garage which has been a family joke for years. That was better than this. I ended up tossing the second bottle of rodeo red because no one would drink it. Stay away. Really. It's not good and it's WAY overpriced. read more

I have been coming to this winery for many years and have always enjoyed my visits! They have many delicious wines to choose from. If you like ports, theirs are delicious. They have chocolate, raspberry chocolate, and cherry chocolate (Decadence). I also enjoy the Merlot, Cab Sauvignon. Get a jalapeño shot with their almond champagne-trust me! There almond champagne has always been one of my favorites and I usually take a bottle home with me. They servers are always friendly and helpful. Conveniently located on Main Street in Grapevine. Seats at the bar, and tables and chairs around it. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff is helpful. The charcuterie boards are delicious and have a great variety of items to choose from. For a quick glass while walking down Main Street or making an evening of it, you can not go wrong. We were doing what a lot of people do at Christmas and enjoying the lights in downtown Grapevine. We had walked a bit and thought a nice glass of wine would be perfect to finish off the night. Stopping in a well know competitive winery, we stood for about 10 minutes decided they had all the business they needed that night. So we walked a short distance to GrapeVine Springs Winery. As we entered we were asked if we were part of a party forming in the back. Answering we were not, expecting to be turned away. To our surprise the waitress said no worries set anywhere you want up front and I will be right with you. She appeared to be the only one working and did a fantastic job of helping us, others who walked in and the large group in the back. I have to admit, I am a Texan but am not the biggest fan of Texas wines. I thought well, we are here and were treated kindly when we came in so I will try a glass of the Sangiovese. I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend to any one that likes to drink Sangiovese. We plan on going back after the Holidays and making a night of it. read more

We hosted our wedding reception here recently and I can't tell you how well taken care of we were by the staff. Christina, Amy and Justine fussed over us the entire time, took care of the details and made the reception absolutely amazing. They even stayed around to hang out after the reception was over We were married a year ago and just now had the reception so it was a little unusual since we weren't coming directly from a wedding. You can pick 2 or 3 tastings and you also have the option of packaging that with either a small tasting glass or a large wine glass. Ventured in to celebrate some upcoming nuptials. They have a private room that seats 24, provides standing room for 40, and will accommodate approximately 60 guests during a come-and-go event. I learned that there is no rental fee but there is a minimum purchase amount required. Our party enjoyed lots of bottles of wine, charcuterie boards, dessert, games, and laughs in the comfort of their private room...service was great. I took sip of Ambush and never even tried the other wines...I just continued topping off with this one. I did try a port...Decadence I believe...super strong, like syrup! The environment is relaxing and chill. The winery is located right off Main which was bustling on a Saturday. Give them a whirl. read more
