    Patio

I wanted to like this place, but after three visits during our hotel stay, the experience was consistently disappointing. We gave it multiple chances and ran into the same issues each time. The service was inattentive across all three visits. Basic things like cream and sugar for coffee and salt and pepper were never offered. We had to ask every single time, which starts to feel frustrating when it keeps happening. It really comes down to anticipating guest needs, and that just was not there. The food itself was also underwhelming. I ordered the eggs Benedict and it lacked flavor, and the egg had a lot of uncooked egg whites inside which made it pretty unappetizing. On another morning, we actually found a dead fly in our breakfast, which was a big turn off. The patio has a noticeable fly issue. Flies were constantly landing on our food and arms while we were trying to eat. There are fly deterrent fans available, but they are not brought out unless you specifically ask. At this point, it seems like something that should automatically be offered to every table outside. Overall, the experience just felt like a lack of attention to detail, both in service and in maintaining a comfortable dining environment. With a few improvements, especially in anticipating guest needs, it could be much better.

Waiting for our table... at the bar, during the happy hour

SHORT ANSWER: Just a maybe. Our first visit and we had very high expectations as the El Paseo and other TB location are always excellent and we've visited several of them many times., they are fun! Grapefruit Basil, I made reservations a day ahead for our anniversary and noted occasion as ANNIVERSARY, I'd asked in the reservation for a chilled bottle of a champagne be at our table when we were seated assumed they contact me about selection they had my data. Day of reservation I reached out again and asked them to call me, zero response. These are slower days, not many people there so a simple request blown off. When we checked in for our dinner reservation I asked if they received my messages and was greeted with, no, I did something wrong... love that. I did nothing wrong, the data is still in Open Table but somehow management seems not to care, why are there questions if there is no system to support guests requests? LOCATION: Wow, location just does not get much better, amazing mountain views and lots of parking. From the exterior it is all very beautiful. FACILITY: Surprised by how hotel the vibe was, yes it is a resort but just so so inside, never got a Tommy Bahama fun vibe still seemed like Miramonte. At our dinner table we looked at missing tiles on the Bocce court, looks like they'd been missing for a while, seems run down, you can't have that on a property like this. MENU: For the bar menu it was very good and reasonable for locals to hang out and enjoy Happy Hour, yet it did not feel much like a fun resort. Dinner menu was very nice, not too many options but good enough so most anyone to find something. FOOD PREP: It was okay, maybe a bad day for us to visit during the gap days in the Coachella festival. Prep on my wife's Spaghetti Squash was rather unappetizing but the Mary's Free Range Chicken was better. FOOD QUALITY: Sorry, not impressed, Chicken was very dry but it looked good so it got a pass. Spaghetti Squash I guess was good enough, or there were no complaints but it looked gross. LIBATIONS: Very food, all presentations professionally done at the bar and at the table. Smoke & Ice was a great sipper drink. WAITSTAFF: Aside from the greeters, everyone was very nice and our waitress was the most positive part of our visit. OVERALL VALUE: It was just ok, $30 at the bar, dinner $100 plus $25 tip so maybe that is what they are going for, ok. The drunk people yelling at the pool area, the lack of care for our reservation, differed maintenance issues, and food that was ok made me feel we chose a discount resort not something that is worthy of the Tommy Bahama brand, I am very sorry to have to say that. TIP: There are many places nearby that do represent a great resort or outdoor dining experience, we won't be back unless management makes some significant changes.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here and the food they have offered. We came here for a long weekend, so there were a good amount of customers in the resort. The brunch wait time can be long if you arrive after 10 am. We came just before 10, so we waited for about half an hour. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't too full, but all the waiters were very busy. I understand why they want to pace themselves and ensure all customers receive good services. I really like their avocado toast. It's not your simple avocado toast, the flavors are elevated. The American breakfast plate was really good too. We decided to stay for dinner because we have hotel credits. That was an excellent choice! The service was fabulous by Gabby! She is warm and kind helping us celebrate our anniversary. My miso cod with rice and the seafood spaghetti were both great. The drinks were great too. We really enjoyed our time here. We would love to come back again!

I would really like to give this review 3.5 stars. I think if you're staying at the resort it's a four star place. But if you're just in town and looking for a dinner spot it's a three star place. I was there for a large group outing. They were able to accommodate our 12 person party but we did have to split into two groups of six which was fine. The service itself was good. The restaurant was very busy and we didn't feel like we were waiting a long time for anything. All of the food came out correctly which was a pleasant surprise. The drinks were good and they had a decent selection of alcohols. The stars of the meal were actually the appetizers. We started with the bread that came with butter and a little honey drizzle. We also got the tuna poke which was fresh. What I absolutely loved was the beet salad with walnuts. It was just fantastic. From conversations between tables the sentiment for the main courses were similar. A complete lack of flavor and seasoning. I had the short rib dinner. Cooked very well with fork tender meat over mashed potatoes in a reduction sauce. The sauce was so bland it could've been water. For a reduction I think they reduced all of the flavor from it. Someone had the filet and said it needed seasoning. Someone at the other table had the short rib and said the same thing. The presentations were good the execution was just a little bit off.

The three of us went for the first time and we wanted to go to happy hour first. Grapefruit basil opens at five so happy hour is in the bar. We had really good mai tai's with a quesadilla first until grapefruit basil opened at five. Our server, Josie, was so welcoming and explained everything. She never tried to pressure us and she was so sweet and patient. We enjoy the cocktails and everything we ordered except maybe the clams to start. It was pretty skimpy and could use a little more flavor, but we will definitely be back because the service the atmosphere and the food was better than we thought it would be. As we left we've saw them making pizzas on the patio next time. We'll try those.

This restaurant is located inside the Tommy Bahama hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is spacious with cute decor and tons of natural light. The service was also great and very attentive. We went for breakfast, but I decided to try the bacon burger and OMG, it was SO good and super filling! Everyone else ordered a variety of breakfast dishes and really enjoyed their food as well. I honestly didn't expect much from a hotel restaurant, but this is definitely worth checking out!

Walk into an amazing desert ambiance with a lit olive grove and clean dirt next your feet. The buildings and mountains create a very cool vibe and it's dog friendly. The food was really well prepared. I loved the spaghetti squash. The poke was right up there with best in Hawaii! Mexican lava cake topped it off perfectly. Ask for Gisell!

We stayed with Tommy Bahama hotel and this looks like a decent brunch option on a Sunday morning. So we decided to give a try by brining the family and friend here. We ordered Three eggs omelette and the Dungeness crab cake Benedict. Both are very delicious and coming with great presentation! The only thing to nitpick is the speed of service. It took us forever to be seated while the resultant was half empty, and then took forever to order drink and food, and finally took long for the food to be one the table. I felt in totally we waited a good 30-45 mins to start the meal. Maybe because there was a wedding on the same weekend but still felt restaurant needs to be well staffed for any weekend.

Located inside the new Miramonte Tommy Bahama Resort and Soa. Ambience is beautiful. Outside sitting is great if not hot. The food is very fresh - Farm-to-table style: They have a brunch and lunch menu. The cocktail menu are also amazing. Great restaurant and a must try for sure.

We came here back in August. Food not only looked divine it taste just as good as it was presented. This is the hotel restaurant, but don't let that talk you out of giving it a try. Everyone in my party were more than pleased with their dishes and we had plenty of space at our table and never felt rushed. The server answered our questions and delivered our food promptly. Respectfully Reviewed.

Started a little rough but ended on a high note... the mgr/hostess helped solve our problems and our server Juan was a delight... The food was excellent... have the halibut for sure and the ambiance is one of the best

It's a nice restaurant with an attached bar area that had a DJ and was very lively on a Friday night. We chose to dine in the restaurant portion, where the atmosphere was a little more conducive to dinner and the service was good. I had the Chicken Piccata ($38) and thought it was very good. It was flavorful, the serving size was fair, and I felt the price was reasonable for the quality and the restaurant. Others at our table had the Pacific Sole Piccata ($46), and there were several appetizers and salads available in the $19-$38 range. My one disappointment was the cocktail pricing. Many of the drinks start around $19 and can go all the way up to approximately $45. I had a martini that tasted fine, but it was surprisingly small for the price. At those prices, I expected a more generously sized cocktail. Other than the drinks being overpriced in my opinion, I enjoyed the experience. The food was good, the service was solid, and the lively bar and DJ give the place a fun energy if you're looking for more than just dinner. Overall, a solid four-star first visit. I ordered the chicken piccata and honestly, it was the best I've ever had. The service was wonderful, and even though we were seated near the piano in the bar area where it can get a little loud, that's part of what makes it such a fun atmosphere. The best part of the night was having everyone together. My niece's boyfriend was visiting from Ireland, and we laughed and danced all night. I especially loved seeing my sister-in-law out on the dance floor and having so much fun. It was one of those nights where people of all ages were dancing, laughing, and just enjoying being together. We had such a great time that they went back again the very next night. The live music was fantastic, and it was great seeing Nick on saxophone. The crowd was a fun mix, the energy was high, and the whole place just felt happy. A coworker recently went during Restaurant Week and couldn't stop talking about the steak, the generous portions, and the peanut butter pie. The Nest has been a desert favorite for years, and there's a reason. It's always nice to see Dodi there and how much pride she takes in the restaurant. Most people think of The Nest for the music and dancing, but don't miss the food. It really is that good! One tip: go early or make a dinner reservation so you don't end up waiting in line. The Nest is still one of the most fun places in the desert!

THE FOOD: We started with the oysters , and they did not disappoint. They were served with a shallot mignonette which was vinegary in all the right ways. They were so good, that we ended up ordering a second round. For dinner, we all ordered the steak with mushrooms and broccoli. The steak was perfectly cooked, and every bite was bursting with flavor. Even the mushrooms and broccoli stood out. Everything was seasoned beautifully without overpowering the actual flavors of the vegetables. Even the bread was so good. It was served with three different butters. And dessert? Also top notch. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner with friends. THE SERVICE: The service really added to the experience. Our server was attentive and took great care of us. The GM, Ray, also stopped by our table, and we ended up chatting and joking with him a bit. He was incredibly friendly and personable and made sure we were having a great experience. Morgan's in the Desert: Disappointment After Disappointment. $400 for Meh…read more After living in La Quinta for four years, we were ready to try Morgan's, as it's one of the last foodie restaurants in the Coachella valley that we haven't tried. We arrived early for our reservation, excited to grab a drink at the bar before dinner. Then we were told our table was already available... only to be seated at a dining table in the bar, off to the side, where apparently servers do not exist while staring at the back of the pianist and the barflies. The two bartenders were fantastic--especially Brian, who was working at warp speed--but they already had a packed bar to manage. Adding dining tables to their workload was clearly not realistic. Why were we seated there? Still a mystery. Reservation problems: I booked through the QR code advertised in The Gem for the August prix fixe dinners at La Quinta Resort's restaurants. When we arrived, we were told the prix fixe menu wasn't available that day. Sorry! So we ordered bread and oysters instead. About 15-20 minutes later, the manager came over and said they would honor the prix fixe after all. Great! Except... we'd already ordered appetizers. ‍ And wow, was it SLOW. We were seated at 5:30 and still didn't have our entrées at 7:00. Drinks regularly sat empty, and once the restaurant got busy around 6:30, water refills disappeared completely. Did I mention it was 110 degrees outside? The food? A mixed bag--but overall, wildly overpriced and underwhelming. * Oysters: Ice-cold and served with a good mignonette. Also pricey. * Bread: Fresh and warm, but the olive tapenade was aggressively salty. Again, overpriced. * Watermelon salad: The winner! Refreshing, flavorful, and the spicy nuts gave it a nice kick. Highly recommend. * Chicken cacciatore: Dry chicken, undercooked tomatoes, overcooked pasta. Never again. * Oscar filet: Delicious and well-prepared, but nothing memorable or special--especially for the price. Bottom line: We spent about $400 for a frustrating, painfully slow, mostly mediocre meal. There are too many great restaurants in the area to spend that kind of money on "meh." We won't be back.

Wine bar doesn't open till 5 which was when happy hour started. For the first hour, they had wine, well drinks and draft beer. A few small plates also offered. It's a wine and tapas bar. It's along El Paseo before you hit the main shopping area, depending on which way you come. Entrance has a nice wall created by ficus trees and mister spraying to keep you cool. There's a decent patio with a good amount of seating. Inside is where the party is. The place is set with two seating area. Right when you walk in is the bar. A good amount of hi top seating and tables. Hi top seating that are along the window were actually very uncomfortable. Padded seats were so narrow that seating was so uncomfortable but oh well. There's the other room seating area which houses all the wine on shelves. I believe it's also a wine store but that sectioned was closed for a private event. We just wanted a drink before dinner so no food was had. From the looks of the dishes that were coming out, they looked really nice. Tapas style dishes made for sharing. With happy hour, there was a couple dishes that was included. Also they offered a deal with a charcuterie board and a bottle included. We just went with a glass of their house red and white. And an order of spicy margaritas. It's a full bar so that was nice. Margaritas were great and house wine was decent. The service was great with the bartender who was a doll and very sweet. Made drinks and still had time to come check out on people. It was still early but it did pick up for happy hour which is from 5-6 right when they open. The place was quite nice and well decorated. Beautiful wine bar that's great for mingling with friends over food drinks and tapas. Will definitely be back for some food.

We let our bartender pick for us and she did great. They also have a premium wine flight available. The Mushroom Truffle Flatbread was definitely the start of the show. Very surprised at how delicious it was! We thought it was a pizza based in the previous photos but was perfect for the two of us.

They welcomed us in for coffee even though there were not quite open, and took time to show us around their store which is so charming! The coffee was so good and actually very carefully crafted to our liking. Given the attention to detail we received that morning, we will certainly be back for date nights! The staff were laughing with each other as they were working and you could tell they like their job. I received a warm welcome and was presented with three different menus for all they have to offer. My server Jennifer was great to talk with about the wines, the owners, and the food. I enjoyed trying different cheeses along with a delicious Albariño wine. They had some fairly steady stream of customers, some were regulars and some were first-timers like me. Next time I will try one of the salads which I saw and it looked amazing. I have a feeling they will need to be expanding if the word gets out on how wonderful everything is. I added it to my list of stops whenever I am at my vacation place in Indian Wells. You should check them out!!
