If I could leave a review with zero stars, I would... I don't even know where to begin but my issues with grapevine Honda haven't come to an end and it's been over 60 days since I purchased my car. I was drawn to this dealership because the used car I wanted was marked for $31k which was a great price compared to others available on the market. after seeing the car, and deciding I was interested in trading in my current vehicle... I was met with paperwork that reflected over $3000 more than the listing price online. I was told verbally that this fee was for "reconditioning" the used vehicle, and doing maintenance that needed to be completed on the vehicle before selling it to anybody. I ended up leaving and coming back the following day and sitting in the dealership for about six hours total. They lowballed me on the price of my trade by about $4000 which I quickly objected because I had a written offer from Carvana from the month prior for the $21,000 that I was asking for my trade. After a bit of research, I was able to prove that some of the work they claimed had been done, was actually performed at the Audi dealership in McKinney months prior as a part of the factory warranty maintenance. Here's what they charged: $2512.35 reconditioning fee ( vehicle inspection, Paintless, dent repair, detail on the vehicle, four wheel alignment, install LoJack) $599 perma plate car protective treatment After learning this, I simply requested a printed invoice for the work that has been completed, and if it made sense, I had no problem paying the additional money for the "reconditioning" work. After the back and forth negotiations for hours I finally signed and drove away with the car. Not long after I got home, I noticed 2-12 inch dents in my passenger side door panel. It's crazy because the "reconditioning" fee said that it had included a full bumper replacement and Paintless dent repair. I contacted the dealership the following day and requested the name for the Paintless dent repair company that had completed the work on my car. I reached out to that company and was told directly that there was zero invoice regarding the repairs done to my car so it raised a lot of speculation. After doing about 24 hours worth of work and taking my car in to another specialist to see if any PDR had been completed. I learned that absolutely nothing had been done to my car that was outlined in the reconditioning fee . I was straight up, lied to. I could not believe it. I reached out to the used car manager Auntwan, who for about four days gave me the runaround, fake email addresses, fake callback numbers I felt like they were dodging my caller ID. So I blocked my phone number and called and requested the general manager Mario. After getting in touch with him, he offered me a small fee that would cover a portion of the fraudulent "reconditioning" fee that they charged me because I emailed him with all of the evidence I had found proving they did ZERO of the work they had charged me for. I was beginning to become more settle with my decision until attenpted to remove the stupid "exceeding expectations" plate cover they installed, but then I realized a my license plate mounting bracket had been completely obliterated by the power drill when my sales associate put on my paper plates on before I left the dealership. Once I thought it was finally over, I received a phone call saying they forgot to apply for my title and asked if they could send me a page to sign. WHAT ELSE?! Right after we paid and signed the paperwork for a used Civic, we stepped outside the dealership to take possession of the car and noticed for the first time that the car had minor hail damage. This was not listed on the Carfax report, and our salesperson also made no mention of it. To not disclose this to us seems disingenuous and I feel this falls under DTPA. An example of an honest dealer: couple days prior to our purchase, I spoke with a different Honda dealer over the phone who, within 60 seconds of speaking with him, mentioned (unprompted) that the car I was interested in had a rebranded title, and I thanked him for being honest. This was quite the opposite experience we had with Grapevine Honda. Another example of an honest Honda dealer: our last used car was from Huggins Honda. Huggins had mentioned to us prior to sale that they put a good deal of work into the vehicle, which we initially were a bit skeptical. But after the sale, we have taken the car to multiple independent service shops and they have all remarked how extremely well-maintained the vehicle was (and still is). Clearly there is a difference between Honda dealers, and I should stick with the good ones. We contacted Grapevine Honda multiple times upon discovering the hail damage. This included replying to an email sent by Mayur Patel, the General Sales Manager at Grapevine, asking for our "important" feedback and telling us their "number one goal is to exceed expectations". But we have heard nothing back. Ever. So much for wanting to "exceed expectations" (which is also  emblazoned as their dealership's slogan). Two other signs Grapevine Honda was not trustworthy: (1) they tried to charge us for applying some paint wash and installing LoJack, neither of which we asked for, and (2) making not one, not two, but THREE errors in the sales paperwork (each time charging us more than we had agreed). Bottom line: do NOT consider any vehicle from Grapevine Honda, unless you enjoy being scammed. I'm willing to overlook the attempt to charge us unwanted items and I'm even willing to overlook three separate paperwork pricing errors. But to ghost us when we asked to resolve the hail damage issue is inexcusable--especially for a dealership that claims it is "exceeding expectations". UPDATE: After Mr. Patel commented on this post and asked me to contact him, I did...twice. And again, zero response. So again, do NOT consider any vehicle from Grapevine Honda. They do not care about you, before or after the sale. read more

THEY SOLD ME AN EMISSIONS ILLEGAL VEHICLE AND TAMPERED WITH THE EMISSIONS SYSTEM. I purchased a vehicle last month that stated on the carfax it didn't pass state inspection, the sales associate Ryan Tillman could not tell me why it didn't pass because "the test was done in another city" but assured me they fixed whatever it was because it passed their state inspection. After I signed all of the paperwork and bought the car, Ryan then told me the previous owner had a catless exhaust system on it but told me that they put a catalytic converter back on. The check engine light and a few others came on before I even left the lot, so I took it back to their service dept where the service manager very rudely assured me nothing was "actually wrong" with the engine and couldn't even tell me what codes it was throwing. I was able to get into a shop about a week later where they found that an outdated catalytic converter was welded into the middle of the j pipe-BEHIND the 02 sensor, several feet away from where it actually needed to be placed, so now I have to pay to replace the entire OEM J Pipe and catalytic converter-which is at least $3k. It has taken a week for the shop to order the parts/get me in to fix it, so I have not even been able to drive this car. I have called, texted, and emailed the service dept and the several people in the sales dept. I am either not responded to or forwarded to voicemail. There is no way this vehicle should have passed inspection given that it was tampered with and is literally emissions illegal-so you can add a fraudulent state inspection to the list of offenses, too. It is really in their best interest to make this right given they have broken laws, but since they aren't responding to me, I will have to take legal action. I will also be reporting this to the DMV, EPA, and DPS. Do not go to this dealership if you actually want to be able to drive the car you purchased. You will be without means of transportation and lose money. read more

I am 41 years old and have purchased MANY vehicles over my years. I have never seen a more dishonest and shady sales manage as Erick at Grapevine Honda. I called about the vehicle and spoke with Frank Ivens and confirmed the vehicle in stock. This was a 2021 Honda Passport with 21k miles one owner and advised that was CPO. The car was also marked as CPO with a red sticker on the top of the passenger side windshield. A price was agreed upon (out the door, including TT&L, 33k). Now the sales manager, Erick, gets involved and confirms the vehicle is CPO and agrees and has me initial off on the $33k price. Now that I'm presented the "numbers" they've ran , a payment of nearly $800 per month for 60 months. When I ask Erick about my pre approved rate through a local credit union, that they confirmed they work with, he stated that he was unaware of the APR. and I noticed that the paperwork he is now showing no longer has the APR listed just a monthly payment. And this amount is exorbitant to the rate I've been approved and the money we've agreed upon. So now a on and off conversation with Erick continues over the next 3 hours. He originally presented a hand written quote of a rate of 8.94 apr even though it's way over the rate I've been approved for. He later tells me that not only was I making up the warranty he offered, after stating the car is not actually CPO, he states, and I quote, "that conversation wasn't recorded, so it didn't happen"!!! After hours at being at this dealership and me calling him out on his lies and me going to my car, Erick chases after me. He then asks what he can do to make it right and I advise that he can keep his promise of including the warranty in the original price that was agreed upon as the car was stated to be CPO. Erick the. Says he will go into his manager to review. Then comes back several minutes later to advise, HE CAN NO LONGER SELL THIS VEHICLE AT ALL!!!!! Prior to this purchase, I visited two other dealerships to compare prices and options, and it became evident that Honda of Grapevine offered the most competitive pricing and an impressive selection. My sales representative, TJ, although relatively new to the role, demonstrated a high level of professionalism and attentiveness throughout the entire process. He consistently checked in to see if I required any assistance or clarification on various aspects of the transaction. The overall experience was efficient; they conducted an appraisal of my trade-in vehicle, I communicated my desired model and budget, and they successfully accommodated my requests. My time at the dealership lasted approximately three hours, which aligns with the typical duration for such transactions. The staff was particularly considerate of my schedule, making concerted efforts to expedite the process so that I could complete my purchase promptly. I had a deeply disappointing experience with Grapevine Honda and sale manager Sergio Alvarez. After negotiating via text, we agreed on a final price for a 2026 Honda Passport. However, the moment I called to provide a deposit to finalize the deal, they suddenly increased the price by over $1600. They refused to honor the price they had committed to in writing just shortly before. This is a textbook bait-and-switch. They used a lower price to get me to the finish line, then tried to squeeze more money out of me once they thought I was committed. NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN! Worst customer experience I've ever had. I waited 40 days for my car to get fixed because the technician messed up the initial simple repair I had brought it in for. It took 3 days for them to get me a loaner, and they had to get a car from the sales side, which could have all been done on the same day. When I got my car back it was so dusty. It was left outside and they did not wash it. Never going back to this dealership again! read more
