I have tried and tried to get a decent meal from here, because I love Italian and it's so close to home. Once again failed last night. My husband's Veal Parmesan was overly cooked and tasted burnt. My Cacio e Pepe was soo dry with no pepper. Why can't they make a decent meal?!?!!! read more

Grassa Grammar has grown on me since it opened. The food quality has improved greatly. Portion sizes are good. Atmosphere is fun , like eating in Epcot' s Restaurants. After a stellar first visit to Grassa Gramma, the second visit was so disappointing that I don't think we will be going back. The food was fine, although I debated between two entrees and wish I had gone with the other one (I think the server recommended this one because it was more expensive, tbh). Kind of like how I asked for sparkling water, and the server said "So would you like-," before shaking his head, cutting himself off and bringing me a $7.50 bottle of Pellegrino. If he was going to ask if I just wanted sparkling from the bar instead of the expensive bottle, the answer was yes. This meal mainly fell far short in service. Glasses and dishes were left on the table as the courses continued (and with a two top there wasn't much space to begin with), and the food came out too quickly. Almost like they were rushing us through to seat another table, or at least it seemed. We ordered an appetizer before the main course and we're still seated and then seen out the door in almost exactly an hour. So much for a romantic date night. The decor is fun and eclectic but the music was so loud and the interior echoed so much that we could hardly hear each other talking. This place isn't cheap, and we really didn't think it was worth it. We won't be returning anytime soon. read more

Made reservations for dinner here last night for our first visit. We sat in the middle by the water fountain. The interior was designed to look like Italy with a little renaissance twist and was dimly lit. The server was very friendly and provided us some recommendations for dinner entrees. We did not run out of water one time and the server was very attentive throughout our evening. We both loved our food and were veryyy full. We started off with the complimentary focaccia and ordered the polenta and meatball as an appetizer. My husband ordered the veal Parmesan and thought it was very good! Amazing! Took some out of town coworkers on a friend's suggestion and everyone raved about it! We tried the spinach artichoke dip, Mushroom trifolata, Bolognese, spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna and everything was great! Best spinach artichoke dip I've ever had! The only complaint was that they could take any leftovers home since they were leaving the next morning. We let him know we heard and saw what occurred and he didn't deserve it, he shouldn't of been made to feel so uncomfortable and give the table to someone else. Long before he was called to go assist in the kitchen. They are so rude.... Now! The foooooood! To start we ordered the fig + pig wood fire pizza. OML... chefs kiss hit 'em five times I want all of this pizza in me, but I have more coming... It hits like several things I've tasted and smelled in the past... just gorgeous as it is delectable! I'm here for it! My daughter ordered the double bacon carbonara- now the noodles it's made with were too tough for her simply because she just had a tooth extracted.... But it was divine!!! They made it with spaghetti noodles for her and she loved it! The distinctive flavor of the different bacons was everything!!! I had the Mushroom Trifolata.... Jesus. Heaven on a plate. The sauce... the mushrooms.... The broccolini and spinach- it comes with asparagus and peas. I'm allergic to peas (nothing but ragweeds 1st cousin) and I don't eat asparagus... and they accommodated me of course! They're so amazing y'all.... Like patient and just make you feel like you can do no wrong they can't either okay! For desert she got the Budino- hazelnut cookie with chocolate pudding and caramel... and salt! Nut allergy so I do not know but she liked it!! I had the red velvet ice cream with chocolate torte. Supppper rich decadent and a lot- little small bites is best. I was shocked by the red velvet ice cream with bits of cream cheese- I'm not a red velvet fan but this I love! Our second server Parker was great!! Very funny! It was packed! We did arrive on time for our 4:30 reservation and got out after 7:20.... They took on a ton of reservations and I am very grateful they were able to accommodate us and everyone else who made theirs too!! Now the kitchen was backed up and there were a few hiccups- like being served nuts when I and my daughter mentioned I am allergic- now please understand we were WELL taken care of and it was a fantastic and fabulous experience. So little stuff isn't any reason to stay away! Again over 500 reservations made today!!! The whole nut thing was handled promptly and no cross contamination. Boss level handled! The manager even gave my daughter the beautiful glass her desert was in, again he's an absolute gem. Had me fill out a card for the next time we are in, again WELL TAKEN CARE OF. My steak looked nice. It lacked any taste. No salt, no pepper, there was no seasoning or rub at all. It was the most expensive $56 tasteless steak I have ever ate. The table kinda felt like I could break it if I leaned on it too hard. Anywho we started with some drinks, which is where they lost a point. I tried to Rossini and my boyfriend tried the forbidden fruit. Both were very meh and were reminiscent of a poorly mixed fruity vodka drink from college. The food though was great. My wife and I had the privilege to attend this place on a Sunday evening around 615. I made reservations online and your table was ready when we got there. We sat next to a beautiful fountain in the inside of the main dining room. It was very elegant and cathedral like and romantic. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. Service was top-notch. Also, he did a great job. The food was good. I really enjoyed my pasta dish. My wife's was OK. She got the chicken Parmesan and were used to the chicken breast and their chicken. Parm was chicken thighs so that wasn't as tasty as expected. We also ordered marinara sauce for her chicken and came out with white sauce but that's OK. It was still tasty. We've tried this restaurant three times now. I wanted to give them a chance, thinking the disorganized service and awful food were just the result of a bad night, or something. Well there was no change. The food was still awful; the daily handmade pasta just wasn't cooked enough. My seafood was too fishy tasting and the service was still laze faire. We have crossed it off of our list of places to eat and I'd never recommend this restaurant to someone who wanted Italian. read more
