We sat in the place for 72 mins waiting on our 2 items - a burger and a bowl. We asked for a refund twice while waiting and the 16 year old at the counter said "You're up next. Sorry" before quickly turning her attention to the next guest in line ordering. The staff were making 30 burgers at a time (which I only know because he was bragging about it). This was evident with our more-than-well-done and dry burger. My chicken bowl was cold and looked like vomit (sorry, but true). We only knew that our to go order was ready because we were watching the bag as it was thrown under the warmer - no one called our name or number out loud. Won't be back. Stopped here on our way through Durango! My boyfriend says "best hamburger I've ever had!" (which is high key saying a lot) He had the double bacon cheeseburger! I had the regular grassburger, and it was delicious. I will say that the burger as well as the fries were very salty, so I would recommend asking for light salt. I see why they ask for the tip in advance. Ordered an hour ago still no food I'll let you know if the review improves if I get my food before the next ice age. Got the food finally. Nothing to write home about. Soda has natural sweetners but it is so foamy you have to stand there forever before filling your glass. The Acai berry lemon is the one exception and tastes pretty good. The other flavors are way too sweet. We bussed our own table so the upfront tip has now added insult to injury. Here's a tip, don't tip unless they earn it and if you're in a hurry skip this place. I just left there and had a wonderful meal and experience. This review is in rebuttal of JCPJ U's review about the floors being dirty and greasy, and cold food. It was my first time at Grassburger and hands down without a doubt it is one of the best burgers I've ever had. The concrete floors are waxed not greased. The bathrooms were fine. The food came out perfect! We both got the bacon chedda burger, with mine being a double. So fresh! So flavorful! And the chipotle mayo complemented the flavors perfectly. Fries were spot on too. Love that all ingredients are fresh and very high quality. The only thing I wouldn't rate a 10 was the potato bun... it was a bit dry (although it was 30 min until close so...). We stopped here for the first time since we moved in November. Our friends wanted local meat and a vegetarian options. We showed up as many people were leaving due to it being later at night. So I assumed we would be in and out quickly. We placed our order without much wait in a line, but the food was another matter. We waited beyond what I would ever expect for a burger and fries. It was close to an hour and when we did get our food my burger was not warm and I had a pile of burnt crispy fries. By far our favorite burger in Durango! I wish they had this back home, where I live. Our family likes a good cheeseburger and this hit the spot. We didn't realize it was grass fed beef, until we were inside, and saw they are really big on quality and no chemicals. Even their sodas are their own brand and have no high fructose syrup. I was a little hesitant, but I tried the cola, root beer and cream soda, and all were delicious! The cream soda was my favorite and root beer was my husband's. My son liked the black cherry. My daughter loved the chocolate shake. The cheeseburger with bacon was a solid 10 in my book. It had just a hint of chipotle Mayo which was delicious. The bacon was really good and cooked perfectly for a burger. My husband and older son got the double. The fries were fresh and thin and crispy and really good. The atmosphere is nice. You stand in line to order and seat yourself inside or outside in an enclosed patio. It was about a 20 minute wait, so we played a fun game on the wall of the enclosed patio.
