Hit and miss. Sometimes it's good and sometimes is eh. Burnt bagels are the worse. I think the berry smoothie is super yummy, but doesn't taste the same every time. Veggies are fresh and great quality which I love. One day old bagels are excellent. Service is always good. Quick and out of there. I think cost is on the higher end. Very cute little corner spot on Main Street. Love the drink options. An extensive menu of sandwiches too. Looking forward to tryout more.

My bagel was hard and stale and soggy on the outside. When I showed that to the cashier, she said that's the way they are. Very un appetizing, I love to support small businesses, but I won't be back to this one. A couple of bites and I threw the rest away.

BEWARE....Grateful Bagel has slipped! It's really bad!!! Not the place it once was when I lived in Sebastopol (80's-90's). Sadly I was totally RIPPED OFF today on bagels I bought from the case. One was ROCK HARD stale, one was semi stale and one has been pre sliced and thrown back into the case. I will have to trash them! How can they sell totally OLD bagels AT A BAGEL SHOP?!!

Hunter Bagel on a Jalapeno Cheese Bagel

I got the Hunter Bagel on a Jalapeno Cheese Bagel and it was delicious. No words can describe how great this bagel was when i took my first bite. The people there were nice to me.

If we could get one of these in Reno, I would be one happy gal! My husband and I came in here on our way home from Bodega Bay. We were looking for something quick to eat on the cheaper side, and this place had great reviews. The shop itself was easy to find and had plenty of parking. There was no inside seating, but they did have some tables/benches on the patio (it was raining so we weren't going to stay that day). The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful in making suggestions. I kept it simple with a bacon, egg, and cheese on a salt bagel. I am not even joking when I tell you that this was probably the best breakfast bagel I've ever had. It was full of flavor, the salted bagel just enhanced everything. The eggs were cooked perfectly! I could eat this daily! My husband ordered the salmon/lox bagel (though I can't remember which flavor bagel he chose), but it was also absolutely delicious! 10/10, highly recommend if you're in the area to come grab a bagel!

It's really nice inside, clean and bright, lots of seating and a large assortment of coffee, cocoa and other items to purchase to take home. The line wasn't long but it was still nice to get our order taken care of by one of the employees while we waited. When we got to the counter we added a cookie to our order and the drinks came right out! The counter person was very friendly! Here's the thing....unless I missed it there was no restroom? Maybe it was outside? And although I saw mostly all excellent reviews on Yelp, I thought my coffee (the cold Milky Way) was just ok. I'm not sure what would have made it better, but it just wasn't that great. I did like the fact that it had no ice (which means more coffee in your cup) but was still cold and refreshing.

Food tho... yikes The bagels and large and taste like they are made from the dough used to make Safeway white bread. With a lot of blandness. I say this after buying 6 different ones and everyone's input and my own opinion who at on them that morning. I also bought three croissants, one bear claw style with nuts, one that had generic apple pie filling in it and one that seemed to have chopped walnuts and a cinnamon butter inside: one was good but the apple one was not, it would have been better plain. The other two were not bad but they were not very decadent or special considering the cost. Plus they were only ok after we heated them in the microwave in a damp towel then air fryer. I was told they were fresh but they were not it if they were fresh they were extremely dry and stale tasting. I think calling in our order made us prey for them slipping in the old or undesirable ones. It was over $30 which is more than what we usually pay at grateful bagel and the bagels at this place are a crime. We did the drive thru. I hate leaving bad reviews but I don't want to me complicate in these bagels.

This is one of those places for me. I've been coming here since high school which is (ahem...) a really long time ago. I always order the same things: an Irish Cream flavored creamy Italian soda and a backpacker cookie. Today, Vela was behind the counter when I came in. I started giving her my drink order and she finished it for me. Now, mind you, I grew up in Sebastopol, but I don't live in town anymore. I only end up passing through periodically, but apparently this combination is a little unique. I love it though. It tastes like melted ice cream or a perfect cream soda. Highly recommend. (This is also one of the only places I've ever run across creamy Italian sodas, but it's simply an Italian soda + some half and half. They always measure out the syrup and cream, so it's not too sweet. They typically stir it too before handing it to you and generally stay available for a moment to ensure you don't want them to adjust the balance of syrup, ice and sparkling water.) The backpacker cookie has oats, raisins, coconut, chocolate chips and walnuts. Now, I can be funny about both walnuts and raisins in my cookies, but they always get the balance just right! Also, when I came in a few months ago, they were out of backpackers and my son ordered a cinnamon flat. I ended up trying it and fell in love with it too! So, now I order both and share some with my son when I get home. I've met Bronwen, the owner, as well. One time when I dropped in, she noticed that I was ordering Irish Cream and said she'd wondered whether she should keep stocking that flavor. When she heard how much I loved it, she agreed to keep it stocked. I'll admit; that influences me when I'm driving through. Not that I wouldn't ordinarily choose to stop, but now I have an additional gratitude toward them. So glad that the new owners (Bronwen and her husband have apparently been the owners since 2020) have kept this institution here!

The food and coffee we got were abnormally high quality and we recommend the cookies and the basil ice lemonade. So good after a long day outdoors.
