YES! FINALLY! Fantastic boba smoothies in the burbs! My favorite flavors are mango and coconut, in the "freeze" variety (basically a smoothie) because I don't like tea. Some boba tea places only make tea, not smoothies, so if you're craving the not-tea variety, this is the best place I've found in the area. The restaurant looks and smells clean and parking is easy. I read some of the yelp reviews and was hesitant at first but I thought I'd give it a try and I'm very glad that I did! I'm not sure if some of the reviews are a fluke or from competition, but I had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and they offered great suggestions for my family and I. This place has pretty good in my opinion. I don't really care too much how things are prepared when it comes to sweet junky drinks like smoothies but let's just say it tastes pretty good. This place is starting to slow down, I've been here twice recently and I'll sit with a friend for a couple of hours and I see very few customers coming in. The tapioca is not as fresh as it use to be. The electronic menu was down the last time I came in, but the owner was working on it. My daughter introduced us to Gravitea and we are impressed. Its in a strip mall behind Taco Bell on Roselle Road. The place is clean and well lit. Their menu is substantial and if you don't know what you want, you may get overwhelmed by just looking at what they have to offer. My son got the mango with popping boba the first time around and the second time, he tried the lychee with popping boba. He said it was good, and he prides himself as the smoothie connoisseur. This is a great place for bubble tea and just hanging out with your friends or going after studying at the library. There is a huge variety of choices and you can try something different every time. They also have punch cards so if you buy 10 drinks you get the 11th free. But is that it's not a very cute place it has so much potential to be a instagramble place but it's ugly so to say. Their drinks are delicious and they have a wide variety to choose from- freezes, milk teas, popping boba, jellies, tapioca, etc. My boyfriend and I come here at least once a week now and try something different every time. This is definitely not the typical boba shop I'm used to like the ones in Southern California. I ordered Honeydew milk tea and it came out looking brown and NOT green!! I also ordered Taro milk tea and it looked no where close to the color purple. I was already hesitant to drink it. One sip of each drink and I just tossed it, yuck! It just tasted like tea infused with lord knows what?!! However, the gummy and gelatinous tapioca boba bubbles was yummy; it was soft & chewy. To be honest, I only came here once and I thought it was going to be great. Their milk teas are made out of powder and the tapioca pearls are aren't that great. I got a taro blended milk tea with tapioca and there was still powder on the bottom. The environment seems like a good hangout place for teenagers. There aren't many bubble tea places very close to my house (nearest being 20 minutes about) and this one opened up 5 mins away! I went in, the owner walked me thru the menu and explained to me the different flavors and made some suggestions! I am IN LOVE with taro, & he had made me a very good taro for a dollar cheaper than the usual place I go to! It was very good, not too sweet and a good amount of tapioca! I next tried the banana chocolate, which was AMAZING! They give out little samples when someone gets a smoothie which is very nice! They also do punch cards so every once in a while, ones on them! My family absolutely loves GraviTea. It's now become one of my frequented spots (2x/week) because the smoothies are delicious (especially the mango and lychee) and refreshing, the tapioca boba is amazing and the guys who operate are always welcoming and polite. cute interior. I keep telling myself I'm going to expand my wings and try new flavors but I never end up doing it. On Friday/Saturday they have extended hours which is great for those late night smoothie cravings. I got the strawberry smoothie with tapioca pearls. The tapioca was great. Cooked evenly and properly. Although, the smoothie itself was a little strange. I'm not sure if it was a syrup they use, but it was tart and sweet in an artificial way. I would come back to try their other flavors. read more

I'm skeptical. My husband and I came in, straight out said he was allergic to dairy and they said they had dairy alternatives so it would be no issue. 5 minutes after trying it he had a reaction. My guess is that the one who took the order didn't communicate the allergy with the one that made it.
