Our AC unit was leaking water so we set up a claim with our home warranty and they referred us to Graydon Kouri and I'm so glad they did! Making an appointment was easy and timely, Graydon showed up on time and was courteous and personable. We had another HVAC company take a look at our furnace a few months ago for a different issue and there was a drastic difference in the attention to detail and overall experience. Graydon was very thorough. He told us the things we should be concerned about, things we shouldn't be worried about, and how to prioritize fixing them. He came out, assessed the situation, and fixed it all in about an hour! (With an added bonus - thanks Graydon!) My air conditioner went out a little over a week ago. I called my home warranty company who assigned me Graydon. I was able to confirm an appointment for Friday 1-5pm which I had to take time off work to be home. The morning of the appointment I received a confirmation of my appointment. I get home at 12:30 and... wait until 5 pm with a no call no show. I call the company and guess what? They close at 4pm so there is no one I can speak to. I wait until 7 pm to see if the tech is late and might show up? Nope. I have people coming for the week and now they get to sit in a hot house while I argue with my home warranty about sending a new company. This is bad business. I had to wait a week to get an appointment, take time off work and not even a call. I will not do business with them! I read the reviews, should have ran but figured they can't be that bad. Well they are. Stay away unless you want your time wasted. If you can't call or show up I can only imagine the quality of work you provide in person. read more

I wouldn't recommend this company. The technician didn't really check all the condition Of my AC unit. why my AC is blowing hot air inside the house. He showed up and took him 10 minutes and he said my compressor is too hot to run. I told him that I didn't turn the unit for over 6 days because is just blowing hot air. Then he left came back after 5 hours and installed a booster and said it's good to go and left. He didn't check the temperature and my AC still blowing hot air. Waste of time and not very helpful. Graydon Kouri Plumbing came out to address a toilet in our Master Bathroom after I had requested that my Fidelity Home Warranty send me a different plumber than the one that they initially dispatched. This company called me immediately after receiving the work order, scheduled someone to come out and came as expected. He even took his shoes off in our house since we don't wear shoes in our home. We did have to have them come back a second time to address the issue that the first tech wasn't able to completely fix but Graydon himself was the one who came out. He was polite, cordial, knew exactly what needed to be done and fixed the issue in less than half an hour. Personally, I think that Fidelity Home Warranty should dispatch them first rather than who they have on their first rotation on their list. read more

Giving a 3 until I have more information. I contacted Fidelity Home Services last week because the fan for the outside unit for the A/C was unit was running slow. Graydon Kouri was slotted to arrive Saturday. As it was a few days before he would come, I started to look and see if there was any obvious reasons that the unit could be running slowly. I noticed that the P-trap on the condensate drain was clogged and cleared it. I started the unit back up and it ran as normal. I felt it was best to still have Graydon look at it and see if anything was wrong. Graydon came Saturday and told me that the Freon pressure was low ( 3 PSI) and that he was going to increase it back to normal. After additional trouble shooting, he diagnosed that the evaporator coil was Dirty and needed to be cleaned. An hour later the condenser unit/ compressor started to short cycle. I left the unit off after that. I tried contacting Graydon Monday , the voicemail said that he'd be gone until Thursday. I also call fidelity Monday and they said that Graydon hadn't gave them his diagnosis yet. Wednesday he reported to fidelity that it was the evaporator coil that needed to be cleaned and they wouldn't cover it. I inspected the evaporator and did not see any significant dirt or debris that would affect the compressor/ evaporation and condensing cycle. I believe the Freon pressure was adjusted incorrectly or removed. I tried calling today and no one picked up. I am not understanding how the unit was running ok before the Freon was adjusted and stopped working altogether after he left. I would like to resolve this before jumping to conclusions. I would give Graydon a 5 because he was personable and professional while I was interacting with him. I have another tech coming to check the Freon pressure and will follow up from there. Update: second outside tech ( contacted myself, not through fidelity) came out and looked it over. Confirmed Freon was added to correct pressure. I don't think Graydon was here long enough ( 2 hours it took) to see the unit come up to full pressure. Once at full pressure , Tech determined the TXV wasn't working correctly and that the high pressure due to the faulty TXV was faulty and needed to be replaced. I then contacted fidelity and resubmitted the request to have another tech be sent out to confirm what the outside tech diagnosed. Updating to 5 stars. It took a while to get back to fidelity , but nothing too significant. read more

I had multiple issues with plumbing, leaking sink, 3 sinks with water leaking from the top, shower faucet that needed replaced and kitchen faucet replaced. The company came out 4-5 times to fix all of my issues and the owner is very kind. He fixed my problems and made sure everything was completed. I am happy with the work, the excellent customer service and how quickly I was able to get appointments. I plan to call Graydon Kouri for all of my future plumbing or heating/ac issues. They came at my request to American Home Shield for a "second opinion" as the first plumber was terrible and said it would cost $1300 to fix it as it wasn't covered by my insurance. Very poor and unacceptable customer service. The guy came to check the water heater. Slow and lazy. Since the heater is located inside the house I asked him to have the shoe covers, he said that they don't use it and walked throw the house with dirty shoes. He saw that it's washer and dryer are next to the water heater and he said that it need to be moved. I said we can move it right now. He said - I don't move, I have back problems. How he was planning to move the boiler if he has back issues. He said move it and he will come back when we will move it away. I moved it by myself with. I problem in front of him. Then he looked on the water heater and he said they it need to be replaced. Without open it and check. Why does he ask me to move the washer and dryer then. Plus he were asking some personal questions which has nothing to do with his job, which is very uncomfortable and it's invasion of privacy. I called their manager and complained and asked him to send another technician for replacement appointment. He said he will, but I got the information that they cancelled our request at all. Went through plumbing service work via my AHS insurance. At first I was hesitant when being referred to Graydon Kouri Plumbing by AHS after reading all of the Yelp reviews. However, I was impressed by the timeline of repair from the initial call to Ashley (I believe) to her follow up call and the technician that came to my home to inspect the leaking ball valve on my water heater line. Even the part(s) being ordered were expeditiously since I have an old style valve thus certain modifications have to be made. All in all, it took less than 1 week from start to finish. I wonder if their Plumbers are really certified! Deserves no stars at all! Here goes my story so all possible clients will understand what I went through...When I requested my Home Warranty company to refer me to another plumbing vendor due to issues of a prior one. This co. was referred to do the job order of a possible leak/moisture build up in the Master BR closet. The call was 2/26 and I missed it. I called back right away, but seemed like their phones does not have a consistent VM set up. I called again a couple of times, finally went through and was scheduled to see my place on Wed 12-5pm. They said, they will call to confirm visit prior. No calls received and we started calling from 3-5pm because we do not know if they will still come or not. It says, no VM set up! 5:16pm came and a plumber knocked. Ok, he admitted he didnt call and he is late. This os a point against their company in regards to promptness and communication. So, we have shown him what he needs to see. My doubts got stronger when he ask me this..."so, what do you think about this?" I told him this has been seen by another plumbing co. and they said there is a possible leak! I asked him back...MY opinion does matter because this is not my field! He went to my daughter's shower area (which the opposite wall is my closet wall) , LOOKED around only and did not even turned ON the shower! Went back to my closet area and said, "I dont want to open this wall because "MY GUESS", i will not find a leak at all!" ... What? I told him straight, I WONT BET ON YOUR OPINION BECAUSE YOU ARE BASING IT ON A GUESS! My temper is starting to build up but still gave a chance to believe in their work. They made a 1x2ft hole in my wall. They found dried trace of water but no active leak and moisture. (Note: He did not turned ON the shower!) His final diagnosis was, might be the panels of the bathroom wall needs RECULKING! No matter how much we tried to believe him, my husband and I still doubted his skills. Since a hole in the wall, is left open for another company to fix it...and our gut is telling us something is really wrong. We turned on the shower and saw active leak and drip of water where hole was at. WE HAVE PICTURES AND VIDEO TO PROVE! We were right all along to doubt him! This company needs to make sure that their plumbers have TRUE skills to do their job! Or yet to make sure if they are qualified and certified at all! Horrible ! Referred by insurance co.. I got a hold of them after 2 days of trying and didnt show up to initial appt. Showed a few days later and didnt fix the problem but charged me for 2# of freon that's not covered by my insurance without asking me first. The guy said that I should've known my coverage which I did! I told him that he should've asked me first if I wanted anything done that's not covered by insurance. He says I was right but here's the bill .. $160+. Assholes. I've been calling now again for 2 days and no call back from them again.. Is there a negative star option? How about pictures of unprofessionalism and just plain rude behavior? Imagine answering the door and hearing the technician say to his dispatch, "oh, they decided to answer the door." As this asshole approached he then said "do you want our help?" My wife asked him why didn't you ring the doorbell? Keep in mind or front door is open at this point, this guy decides to ring the doorbell and proclaims, "there it is!" While she is standing there. Once inside the service just got worse, asked where the AC unit was located, spent less than a minute looking at it. Came back inside asked where the thermostat was, and said, "OK, sign here." My wife asks is this the work order? And he says oh no, I can't put that together yet. I need to get approvals, it's a four hour job. So you would think he would fix it at that point, nope. His reason, "it's hot and I have a full day.". Right, fixing our AC is your job, right? "We will get to it next week." All of this after losing the request work order 4 days earlier. We tried calling their office and after some discussion with an office person who really was just a glorified answering service screening calls, that tells us, "you're lucky we got to you in that time period" It's 90+ outside and warmer in my home than that. Don't use these folks they don't care about people and obviously who they hire is not required to provide explanations set expectations or maintain any sort of professionalism while interacting with clients. I have so much more to complain about but I feel like I would just spend more energy than it is worth speaking ill about this so called business. Anyone who claims this company does good work must have been treated like shit in the past and doesn't mind bad service or is just simply used to it. Being in a service industry myself I hold these companies to a higher standard as they need us to stay in business but because people are willing to cut a corner or save a buck this kind of behavior it simply tolerated. Our upstairs AC went out, and the home warranty company assigned us to Graydon Kouri. Unfortunately, they do not work weekends, so we had to wait 2 days until we could schedule an appointment, which, of course, was 2 more days. However, in the heat of summer, some wait is expected. Over the next week and a half, Keith systematically figured out what was wrong with our system. He came after hours, and called in the mornings to see if the system was working. He even fixed something in the house that was NOT part of the AC, without being asked, and without being paid (a chandelier had fallen, and apparently he did not think much of my attempt to prevent it from pulling out of the wall). Although I agree with previous reviewers about Jennifer (really, she needs to be fired), Keith was a true gem and I'll call him the next time I need service. Of note, after repeated poor service from Jennifer, I asked her to have the owner call me. He never did, and I'm assuming she never gave him the message. Graydon, keep Keith and get rid of Jennifer. American Home Shield assigned this company to come out and check my water heater which would not stay on. I made the request on a Friday at about 11 a.m. I knew they did not work on weekends. No big deal. I called the that Friday afternoon, the following Monday, and Tuesday to leave voicemails. No return calls. I called AHS that Tuesday and demanded a new company be assigned. They begrudgingly assigned a new company that called the same day and came out the next day. Poor customer service. read more

Graydon Kouri was the assigned contractor from our home warranty program when our AC went out this last week. It was a zillion degrees in our house.... Graydon was kind, efficient, and went WAY out of his way to help us get our AC back up and running as fast as possible. There were all kinds of weird little roadblocks in the way (first, there was a weird kind of lock on our refrigerant, so he had to order a key--he came back as soon as that key came in--then he had to climb into the attic to see what the problem was, found a malfunctioning valve, which had to be replaced). When all was said and done, he came to our home at the tail end of business hours yesterday and stayed till 7PM (!!!) to make sure all was working properly before he left. They were prompt in communication and Keith did an amazing job replacing our old water heater, while bringing everything up to code. Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Our A/C broke, called the home warranty, and they set us up with Graydon Kouri. They started off well, calling me the same day that I filed the claim and leaving me a garbled voice message, but after I returned their call the next day, they never got back to me. I called them a week later, and they set me up for a time frame at the end of the week to come look at our A/C. They missed the appointment time and I had to call them four times in one day just to track down their A/C technician to confirm that yes, he had missed it. FYI - if you go with this company, they will NOT call you before they come over unless you specifically request a phone call prior to your appointment. It's like they don't want your business... Overall very disappointing service and wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

This company is terrible at communicating. We first contacted our home warranty company on May 29 and still our air conditioner is not fixed! They never answer the phone or return calls. The warranty company has had the same problem contacting them. The first replacement compressor was not the correct one...that was July 2. They came again July 28 to install one and it lasted a minute before blowing up. We haven't been able to contact them since. :/ read more

I'm only giving 1 star because 1/2 star is not an option here!!!!! They were assigned to service a leak in my home, by American Home Shield. The technician came out and was fairly nice. After accessing the problem, he would contact the insurance company, then let me know if the repairs were covered. This is where everything goes to CRAP!!!! Several days pass and no response, I phoned the company, asked what the disposition was and was told, the technician had the info and would get right back to me and they took my number. Another day passes, nothing! By this time my leak is still going on and I'm into this thing of being put on hold for 3 days! Called back on Friday and left a message inquiring what was going on and if the repairs were covered? Tuesday, no response, leak still ongoing! Tuesday afternoon, I had received a letter from the insurance company informing me the item was not under coverage. I phoned Graydon, who responded they weren't aware of this and took my number again and the tech would phone me that afternoon/eve. I waited another day, no phone calls from them, so I phoned my insurance company, who informed me, that the item wasn't covered and that they had received all information on the service call from Graydon and had provided a response to Graydon over a week ago!! All the time I had been phoning Graydon and being given a freaking run around and had the damned leak continuing, they knew damned well what was going on!!!! Shay and Jennifer, not sure if they are related or if this is a family run business, but this is total unacceptable treatment of customers!!!
