Incredible. Julian & Brendan, their technicians were knowledgeable and really gracious and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and would absolutely use them again if the need arises.

We bought a new home sometime around October 2025 and have a homeowner warranty. When we had an issue with our heater, we contacted the warranty company, and they sent Rendon Heating & Air to our home. Rendon assessed the unit and told us it could not be repaired and needed to be replaced, which our home warranty covered. Rendon came back and installed the new unit. While it seemed like it was working at first, it clearly was not. We were told everything was working properly, and since we are obviously not the subject matter experts, we trusted them. However, we continued to have a strong feeling that something was wrong with the heater. This is a gas heater, and every time we turned it on, instead of starting normally, there was a loud **PUFF** sound that literally sounded like the gas was about to explode. On top of that, it would take forever for the heat to come through, sometimes running for 20 minutes without properly heating the house, and we could smell gas. We contacted the warranty company again, explained the issue, and they sent Rendon back out. We explained everything to the technician. Their answer? The unit was working fine and the PUFF sound was "normal" when the heater starts. Ummm... okay. So we asked, is it also normal for the heater to run for 20 minutes without properly heating the house while we can smell gas? Their quick answer was that we needed to replace the entire unit with **their machine** and move away from the manufacturer's machine. Keep in mind, this was a NEW unit that THEY had just installed. Months passed, and we still had no real resolution. At that point, we decided to bypass the warranty company completely because we did not want them sending Rendon back to our house again. We paid out of pocket and contacted two other heating companies for independent assessments because we wanted multiple second opinions. Sure enough, both companies raised concerns. We were told that the gas line/pipe could be malfunctioning or improperly installed because a gas heater should NOT start with that type of PUFF sound. They also identified concerns with the air and gas flow and told us the installation could create a serious safety hazard. Based on what we were told, we decided to have the gas shut off and not use the heater until the issue is properly resolved. This is the part that makes me angry. We repeatedly told Rendon what was happening, including the puffing sound, lack of heat, and smell of gas, yet we were told everything was "normal." Instead of taking our concerns seriously and thoroughly investigating the problem, their solution was to tell us to replace a practically new unit with another unit from them. And the customer service experience did not make things any better. The lady I spoke with constantly talked over me, would not let me finish explaining the situation, and repeatedly questioned our concerns. She even questioned why we had waited this long to check the heater and why we weren't using it. OMG... why would I turn on the damn heater when it was 80+ degrees outside? And when we did turn it on to test it, we repeatedly reported the same problem and were repeatedly told there was nothing wrong with the unit. The entire experience has been absolutely ridiculous. More importantly, when a customer reports a potential gas issue, it should be taken seriously. We trusted Rendon because they were supposed to be the professionals. After this experience, I personally would not trust them to work on our home again.
