Well-appointed hotel and super clean. My bestie and I met in NYC for an overdue hang and we stayed at The Grayson (Friday evening). We booked a room with double beds, and it was relatively roomy for an NYC hotel. The (outdoor) rooftop bar was worth the price of admission. Gorgeous views and perfect for a pre-dinner cocktail. Our spicy margaritas were balanced with sweet heat. Word! The lobby is quite small, so if you're planning to meander before leaving, you may want to sit in the restaurant instead. Friendly and patient staff. Nice find!

Lodged here for Christmas and enjoyed our stay! We were able to enjoy some goodies with our American Express Card: -Free Breakfast Daily -100.00 Restaurant/Bar Credit -Complimentary Upgrade While the view was subpar- a few steps away and we were right in the middle of everything! Typically we lodge in the financial district but this location was prime as we walked everywhere! I mean everywhere !

Nice hotel just around the corner from Bryant park, k town, Times Square. Enjoyed playing tourist with my friends in NYC. The location was great, close to everything and public transportation. The hotel has a rooftop bar that had great views of the Empire State Building. Staff were very nice and it was very easy to get extra slippers and a dental hygiene kit.

I went to the Grayson Hotel for brunch. The food was fantastic. The ambiance is superb. The service was efficient and the food was savory. I loved it!

Really impressed with the Grayson Hotel, which is a Hyatt property. For a Manhattan hotel the room is super spacious. The bed is large and comfortable and there is a nice sized bathroom. Everything in the room feels super sleek and luxe. Sometimes Hyatt properties can feel dated, and that definitely is not the case here. There is a restaurant and a bar on premises. The bar is on the top level and has swanky cocktails and fantastic views of the Empire State building. It's a great low key spot to grab a drink and relax. It's a good location and walkable to Bryant Park / Penn and lots of eating and shopping of course. Will definitely keep in mind for future overnight stays in NYC.

Would stay again!! Every hotel employee we encountered greeted us, offered help in any way, and were so sweet. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked perfectly, and it was a great haven to come back to after long days running around the city. We didn't go to the actual restaurant, Harta, although we ordered room service one afternoon-- a cheeseburger and a BLT from their menu, and were very impressed for it being in-room dining. The fries were perfection. We'll also have to return to try the roof top bar, Bar Cima. Several people in the elevator had told us it was wonderful. (Another plus-- every guest we passed or rode an elevator with was in high spirits and friendly!!) They offer a discount with the nearby Dock parking garage, that kept our rental car safe during our stay. It was also a super convenient location for running around to a plethora of great dining, a Target when we needed something in a pinch, and even our uber ride to the Financial District for work was not too expensive. The rooms were midcentury modern, and I loved the concrete ceilings. A brutalist touch while still being cozy. I can't say enough nice things!

Simply the best. All the praise is well deserved but what others don't mention is: when I am at the Grayson I enjoy some of the best sleep ever!

Overall I enjoyed my stay here! Spot is in an ideal local! Extremely close to touristy things here in NYC. Close to subway entrances as well. Only downside was that the room was A LOT smaller than I expected. You definitely wouldn't be able to fit more than like two normal suitcases.. maybe a third but even an oversized bag would be hard to open in the room. I feel like their suites would have been the size of your typical normal room anywhere else. The bed in this room was amazing! BEST SLEEP EVER. Extra soft, sheets and covers were great and pillows were comfy. Usually it's one or the other but everything about this bed was amazing. Overall our stay was great. I read before that people had issues with elevators but during our stay it worked well. Staff was extremely nice and helpful.

In scouring the midtown manhattan area I discovered the Grayson Hotel. It was nested in the east side of the Garment District surrounded by old low rise buildings near Bryant Park. I never heard of this brand so found out it was part of the Unbounded Collection by Hyatt. In my hometown, Austin, the Driskill Hotel is part of this collection which is highly rated as a luxury hotel, so had anticipation this place was up to high standards too. As a bonus wold also earn Hyatt Loyalty Points. So I booked a room upgrading with a view of the Empire State Building. I generally prefer smaller boutique hotels to feel part of the local community. The hotel also recently opened and was fresh out of the box. When I arrived around 8:00 PM there was no bellman which was ok, walked past the restaurant, Harta, headed to the front desk. The lobby was small but was very modern and new. I was greeted nicely and checked in quickly, and headed up to my room. I was with my wife at the time where the main goal was to see all the holiday decorations and see a Broadway show. The room was like a typical small NYC apartment I where it was very organized and with an excellent view of the Empire State Building, and could even see the WTC in the distance. I felt like a scored the best room. The bed was soft, daily maid service, and nice shower amenities. There was no room for a mini refrigerator but can call and have pretty much anything brought up to your room. I made many orders during my stay and the service was reasonably quick. The only drawback was this place being so new had a few new home kinks. First we had issues with the elevators for two of our days and the outside bar/cafe did not have permits to open, but this was not a problem where both Harta and Cima (located on top floor) were available. Harta had delicious food and Cima had great drinks and a nice view of the NYC skyline. I was impressed with the Grayson where our room was so quiet, place so peaceful away from the younger party crowd, and relaxing. It's walking distance to all the tourist highlights like the Empire State Building, Times Square, Bryant Park, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, One Vanderbilt and Grand Central Terminal. There were a few local neighborhood restaurants on the street to experience. I did not see an onsite parking garage where we arrived by black car. There is no swimming pool is you are wondering. This was definitely the perfect choice for us to stay at in NYC.

There is a Hyatt Grayson Hotel in NYC??? Let's go! - Average-sized lobby area for a NYC hotel - Front desk team was spot on! Warm, friendly and accommodating - I was informed at check-in that I could have a Nespresso machine brought to my room, if I wasn't up for heading downstairs for coffee in the am (nice touch and yes please!) - Nice to be in a new/newly renovated hotel - I liked the room design/layout Bottom line- nice spot to stay in NYC!

From the…read moremoment we arrived, it felt less like checking into a hotel and more like family welcoming us into a beautifully curated home in the heart of the city. Traveling during the holidays can be hectic, but the staff at the Park Hyatt made everything feel effortless. Every interaction -- from the front desk to housekeeping to the concierge -- was filled with genuine kindness, patience, and warmth. It was clear they weren't just doing their jobs; they truly cared about making our holiday special. The hotel itself is stunningly elegant yet incredibly comfortable. After long walks through Central Park, returning to our room felt like stepping into a peaceful retreat. The spaciousness, thoughtful details, and quiet luxury made it easy for our family to relax, laugh, and simply be together -- which is what the holidays are really about. We had our first breakfast in New York at the hotel's "the living room" which is located in the lobby. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with modern decor and stunning 30 foot ceilings. We arrived at 7am as the restaurant just opened and Kamil greeted us with a warm genuine smile. We've stayed at 5 different Park Hyatts in the past 5 years (Kyoto being the most recent) and no one has made us feel as special as Kamil. He has the unique gift of hospitality. He went out of his way to treat us like family and made us feel very special. All of his small gestures, friendly smiles, and thoughtful attention to detail, turned simple moments into special memories. During a season meant for connection and joy, the Park Hyatt delivered both in abundance. Spending Christmas in New York is always special, but spending it at the Park Hyatt New York elevated the experience beyond anything we could have imagined. Our days were spent with full hearts, lasting memories, and deep gratitude for a team that understands true hospitality. This is a place we will return to -- not just for the luxury, but for the people who made us feel so genuinely at home during the most meaningful time of year.

One thing to note: the hotel sits right above a sports bar, so it can get noisy when there's a game on. The gym was a low point. Prime location! Modern, spacious rooms (for the city)!…read more The elevators though.... Oy. I stayed at this hotel over the New Years holiday and was thrilled to be so close to Madison Square Garden and Times Square. As was expected, check in was a bit chaotic given the time of year. The ground floor entrance was PACKED with luggage on first arrival. After weaving our way through, we located the check-in desk on the 5th or 6th floor. Tons of people but adequate seating to wait for our room to be ready. An upper floor meant having to figure out their dreaded elevator system. It left something to be desired, to say the least. With only 3 elevators that service the whole of the hotel, and a 4th that goes who knows where, it was almost always a lengthy struggle to catch one. No buttons on the interior of the carriage, all elevators were called with a touchscreen device that seemingly tried to pack as many people as possible into one small space, leaving many behind that couldn't fit, before directing the passengers to another elevator to repeat the whole process over again. One day was so bad, it was actually preferable to walk up the stairs to the 14th floor. Woof. The room itself was wonderful. Spacious, with 2 beds. Very clean. Beautiful view of the city and the arena next door. Great way to catch the sun set. Walk in shower with both an overhead and handheld shower attachment. Great lighting. Shower had heavily frosted glass that faced the bedroom area so be prepared for your silhouette to be on full display for anyone you may be rooming with. Nice sized closet, safe, and mini fridge. Big flat screen television. Window shade worked very well to block out the light if you're hoping to sleep in late. Walls can be a bit thin, especially if you have a rowdy bunch of kids right next door as we did. Aside from the elevators, the perks far outweighed the usual peskier elements (e.g., noise, etc.) one encounters when staying away from home. Would stay here again, perhaps during a less busy time of year, if that's even possible.

The Library Hotel is every bit as charming as people say, but what really makes it special is the team. I arrived by car while the building was hidden behind scaffolding, and the front desk was incredibly kind and patient, helping guide me to the loading area so I didn't spend my afternoon circling the block. Housekeeping was so gracious and helpful throughout my stay, the bartender at Bookmarks very kindly helped my friend carry our drinks down to the room, and checkout took less than 30 seconds. Every interaction was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. The themed rooms are such a fun touch (I loved seeing how each one was inspired by a different subject), but I also have to give a shout-out to the practical things. I took a few work video calls from my room on the 12th floor, and the Wi-Fi was ridiculously good - honestly stronger than the Wi-Fi in my own house when I'm sitting five feet from the modem. Not a second of lag. The TV also had a ton of premium channels, which was such a fun surprise after long days exploring the city. And finally, a standing ovation for the real MVP: the air conditioning. New York was basically a sauna while I was there, and every time I walked back into my room I was greeted by the most glorious arctic blast. It was so good that my friends ended up wanting to hang out in my room and order dinner instead of going back out into the heat. Perfect stay from beginning to end. I can't wait to come back.
