On November 1, 2024 I stopped by for a simple oil change and with only 1 car in each of 2 bays, I expected the guy to come out to greet me as per standard procedure. I sat there for 10 minutes and 3 employees came and went between the cars being serviced without once looking my way and offering the minimal courtesy of saying something like: "we'll be with you in a minute". Not one of them ever attempted to acknowledge my presence or the lady who pulled in behind me. If you're busy it's completely understandable, and we can return later, but there's no excuse for failing to even acknowledge your customers presence and just leave them sitting there waiting......only glancing at them from time to time. Inexcusable! This was the 2nd time I've had this occur at this location and this location only. The management here apparently doesn't train their employees on the most BASIC form of courtesy. This is the kind of crap that contributes to the GenZ'er reputation of being largely clueless about just about everything! read more

I don't know why I see so many negative reviews, I've been coming here for almost 3 years just for oil changes. The quality is always amazing, never have an issue and even me who checks my oil weekly keeps an eye on it, everything seems fine. It may seem pricey but I get discounts from the mail so it's always 50$~ for me. Which considering I work 60+ seems fair to me to spend it: especially since I also drive 500+ a week sometimes. The employees are hilarious and in a good way. I hear them laughing and joking with each other and I think that's important to have anywhere you go. Even if this place doesn't seem all professional, I enjoy coming here and I don't plan to stop any where else for an oil change. Maybe it's because I'm young and don't see things like some people, but I'd come here just for a quick oil change if you need one. read more

Not a fan. Way over priced. We know better to plan ahead and get an appointment at places that not only do a complete check of fluids but also rotate your tires, not charge another $20 for that, on top of being almost double what other places charge for the same service. But we waited too long and needed to get our oil changed. Will be the last time we come here. Allowing employees to smoke in a closed off work space, while working near flammable materials sealed that deal before they drove my car in, I almost left, but my husband's car was already in and will have them change my oil, after I told the guy who drove it in, I prefer no smoking anywhere near my car. It just gets better! My husband's car was in a full 15 mim before mine, yet in less than 10 min mine is done? And we drive off/out at the same time??? When I arrived only to bays were being operated. Bay 1 had a vehicle in the bay and 1 vehicle waiting. There were no other vehicles waiting. Bay 2 had a vehicle exiting and no one waiting. I was motioned by one of the employees to park in front of that bay. My vehicle was understandably moved to accommodate the vehicle already waiting. While I waited, 2 more vehicles that had not been there before were serviced and my vehicle was moved back. When I asked why this was happening, I was lied to and told it didn't happen. This grease monkey is the only ones besides me and the person I bought it from who know that I have it. They are the only ones with my address. Horrible customer service. Another customer and myself watched 8am come and go while the staff inside enjoyed coffees. Not until we tried to open the door did they unlock it and let us in. It took them about 10 minutes to "perform" all the services they charged me for. They took my truck outside and just left it. No one came in to check me out or give me a rundown of what they did. Only when I waved someone down from the shop did they come in to check me out and overcharge me for the "services". Horrible. I will not be bringing any of my vehicles back. I've taken my car here on and off throughout the years and it is always something at this place. Most recently, I took my car in for an oil change in July 2021. They were fast, so that was nice. And they offered an early bird discount because I arrived right when they opened. However, they did not go over what they checked and what the result was, so that was annoying. So, I brought my invoice home and was looking it over. They said they didn't vacuum inside the car because "customer remained in vehicle" which was not true. They were just being lazy. In August 2021, I took my car into the dealership for a few things. I get my report back from them, and they tell me there is no air filter in the car. Weird, because I had just paid Grease Monkey back in July to replace both filters. So essentially, Grease Monkey charged me for 2 air filters, and to my knowledge, only one air filter was present in my car. Not sure if the filter present was replaced or if it was the old one. My dealership was nice enough to just put a new filter in, free of charge. I drive over to Grease Monkey after leaving the dealership, in hopes of being able to talk to someone about this nonsense. I talked to a guy working there, he said the manager was not in and who knows when he would be. I explained what happened, and showed him both invoices (dealership and theirs). He said talk to the manager. It's just principle, if you charge a customer for an item, you should actually provide that item. Seems like common sense to me. The employees look like they have been up partying all night, which is fine if they would remember to put an air filter in, or do basic service items like vacuum or review your fluid levels, etc. They don't even rotate tires there. The service is so incredibly poor that after being a customer of Grease Monkey in general for over 10 years, I am finally done with this company all together. I'm not sure if Grease Monkey is aware of this, but there are tons of choices just in Firestone alone, as to where you can get your oil changed. A lot of them being within a 1 mile radius. It's time to try those places out. read more

These guys have always been very friendly and helpful. I don't have much time at lunch to go get anything done, but they are always quick and knowledgeable. I've gotten a free car wash from them when I had to get my headlight replaced, and this last time (8/2/13 around noon) the person that helped me replaced my taillight for free saying that I was so delightful that it was on the house. He even left a wooden rose on my dashboard... SUPER SWEET. Being a woman does have it's perks I guess. ;) Whether or not they usually charge for a taillight bulb I don't know, but they were still awesome! read more

Man, The guy told me I would be out of there by 2 pm. I arrived at 1 left at almost 2:50 pm. The guy repeatedly told me that " we are only 7 minutes behind" with their time guarantee or what ever. I asked him what about the almost other two hours. No answer. He dripped oil into the engine bay which I wiped out with his rag because he wasn't. In top of that they got oil on the hood of my car, on my doors and dripped oil on my bumper. Only the blue haired vape pen girl took any care to not get oily hand prints on my car. 2 stars only because they did service my vehicle for an oil change, however their hours of operation for Sunday say 10-4pm. Unfortunately, it is 3:40pm , I am here attempting to pick up my vehicle, and they have closed and locked up for the day. If you drop your vehicle off, be sure to call and check on it, as they may apparently close before their actual posted business hours. BEWARE of work said done but in actuality....NOT Dropped my car off the Firestone Grease Monkey location and picked up an hour later. Yes, they did perform an oil change, but when going over my invoice at the counter I was told my air filter was replaced at a cost I wasn't expecting. There was NO conversation about replacing the filter when I dropped off my car. I know this because I had purchased one myself to install later that day. So they took off the charge, Thank you. When I got home to replace the filter with the one I bought, I discovered they NEVER changed the air filter, to begin with. How do I know, because I always date and list the mileage on the filter when I install it and there it was, in my handwriting the date from the last change. My wife took my Jeep to get an oil change at the Firestone Grease Monkey. She explicitly told them not to do anything other than change the oil. Don't clean windows, don't vacuum ... only oil change. Not only did they do the things she explicitly told them NOT to do, but they also rotated my tires, which had recently been rotated at Discount Tire. Not only did they rotate the tires, but they did not include the spare in the tire rotation. My wife refused to pay for the tire rotation. Now I have take it back to Discount Tire to fix the tire rotation. Performing a tire rotation without being asked is dishonest. read more

The staff have always been more than friendly and helpful. I have never felt pressured to buy anything I didn't want to. They are constantly offering me coupons and even free car washes. There was a man in front of me this morning who had previously had some sort of an issue and I watched as they made it right. They forgot to change my brake lights and apologized by giving them to me for free. I have been having them change the oil in two of our vehicles for years now. I've never had a problem. Waste of time!!! Went in, checked brakes said I needed new pads. Had just started to be a problem. Wanted to sell rotors but then said hey can just do pads - after looking at them. Stranges a ride and took it in next day. They never called back with quote but committed half price on pads if changed oil. I had an independent person look at rotors and they said they were totally smooth and good! As I was walking away they came out and said they won't do work without changing the rotors. The car wash next door is own by the same people. Was getting my truck washed on New Year's day. As I was leaving the car wash my truck slip and went into the bay door. There was over 6 inches of ice built up outside of the door. Spoke to the owner and he basically told me he would not fix my truck even though he knew there was a problem with the ice buildup. Firestone Police was shock the car wash was still open with that much ice. Talk about being negligent and not caring about the safety of his customers not alone poor customer service. Not only will I not do business with this establishment in the future but I wouldn't go to any Grease Monkey franchise if this is the type of service you get when they are responsible for damage. Took my work truck to the Grease Monkey on Brighton Blvd ten days ago and service was terrible! Took two hours to get out of there after they did something to my battery and I had to buy a new one (FROM THEM). I went in for an oil change... Anyway, I took my personal truck to my trusty Grease Monkey where I went when I lived in Frederick, and once again, they get 5 stars from me! This Grease Monkey actually placed a silk rose on the dash of my wife's Jeep one time after changing the oil and cleaning the inside! She was so impressed ! They will destroy your engine with a single oil change. After one oil change, they managed to seize the oil filter and the oil plug requiring me to replace the entire oil pan of my car. They do not care that these things only need to be hand tight and choose to destroy your car by saving 3 seconds using an impact driver to ridiculously overtighten everything they touch. read more

This place is a joke. Took my jeep in for an oil change today. Got home and realized I had left an oil trail for miles. Took it back and was told the oil filter was lose. Everything was guaranteed to be fixed except for the oil slick In my garage and drive way. Requested to see the oil level and discovered it was still at least a quart down. No compensation was offered. I will be phoning in a formal complaint with the corporate office in the morning. Legal action pending depending on extent of any possible engine damage. Very displeased in this place! I have been burned twice on the oil change here. I specifically told the manager they left oil on the underage last time I was in and it leaked in my driveway. He told me not to worry he would take good care of me. Of coarse same thing happens, this time I get underneath myself to check out what's going on. Every time you visit here, it's a new person that helps you. When you talk to them about your last visit, they have no idea what you're talking about. There's no customer service! When you have a problem, they don't know how to handle it, and keep stalling with answers, hoping you will go away! I dropped my car off to have the oil changed on Saturday, I knew they were going to be busy but I had visited this location before and figured it was ok to leave it while I ran errands. There was a 2 hour wait! When I returned to pick up my car I was taken care of quickly and went on my way. I went to the grocery store on Sunday and realized my floor mat on my passenger side had 2 greasy footprints on it and my daughter asked why her door handle had grease on it. The only explanation was that my car was taken to run their errands or perhaps a joy ride?
