I've had pretty good experiences with this grease monkey. Only until recently I've never had any issues bringing my car in. I'd advise if you have a vehicle with an oil filter placed in an awkward or not normal position not to bring it into this place. Every time I've brought my tacoma in something has gone wrong, even to the point of them cracking the oil filter they put on. Half the oil leaked out of my truck while driving to castle rock. Since that location was closed I had to top it off with some more oil. When I brought it in the next day the manager began to blame it on me saying things like "Young guys like you try to fix your truck and it just causes more problems, next time this happens bring it straight in and don't touch it." I wish they would have just owned up to their mistake and apologized, I didn't make much of a fuss and that could have destroyed my engine. read more

When it comes right down to it, these people are in the business of removing a drain plug and oil filter, and once the the oil is drained, replace the plug and filter, then refill with oil. I just paid $60+ dollars and got a nice oil puddle on the floor of my garage. Took my car to the mechanic thinking I had a major problem-I did have a major problem-I took my car to this Grease Monkey to get my oil changed. I guess it was too much to ask to actually tighten the drain plug AND the filter!!! read more

I had my oil changed at this location and the staff was nice and efficient. My only issue was that they charged me for 5.7 quarts of oil when my vehicle only takes 4.1 quarts including the filter according the spec from the owners manual. to me this is a dishonest business practice. Revision; The manager of this location contacted me after my complaint and was very helpful. We found that in Grease Monkey's computer system the spec was incorrect at recommending 5.7 quarts. They drained out the excess oil and gave me a 50% credit. The whole experience was disturbing and could have caused damage to my car, it was a good thing that I caught it. They really did everything they could to make it right though. read more

I was very disappointed with my service today after trying this location for the first time. I told them I was leaving and was not called when my tacoma was done. I was not notified that they didn't service the front differential as requested. When I asked about it, I was told the bolt was stripped and it wasn't their responsibility. They pulled up the records, then I had to point it out on their computer screen it was done at another grease monkey, and then they said since it was 4 years ago, they wouldn't honor the warranty. Then the process for replacing was condescendingly explained to me... which I couldn't care less about and asked them if they could just fix it. They didn't have the parts so I just paid and left. After leaving, I realized they reduced my tire pressure for my aftermarket wheels and rims. I had asked them not to touch the tires. I had to go to discount tire to fix my tires. I also stopped for gas and saw that my battery tie down was not in place (not just loose, completely off and my battery was free to bounce around). Then I went to my trusted grease monkey location on Broadway near Arapahoe. They took me into the pit and showed my the gasket on my oil drain plug was missing and oil was leaking. My rear differential which was just serviced was not cleaned up and looked like it was leaking. And worst of all, the drain plug for the front differential was recently stripped with fresh metal shavings, and fresh stripped metal showing. After calling the highlands ranch location, they were immediately very argumentative, kept interrupting me, and told me to come back and watch the tapes since everything was on camera. I told them the fresh metal shavings was enough proof that they had stripped the drain plug. I was shocked at their lack of professionalism and accountability. We all make mistakes but not owning up to them shows a compete lack of integrity. I will never be returning to this location and will gladly warn everyone in my personal circle to avoid them as well. Go to Broadway and Arapahoe up the street for excellent service and avoid the headache. read more

I was at Grease Monkey on Broadway several months ago, and have been meaning to post a review. I went in because my car was having trouble starting. I was treated with top-notch service. They put in a new battery, and were very empathetic to my situation (my son and I had missed a camping trip because of the car trouble). They cleaned my front headlights at no additional charge. One of the associates even got down on the floor and played Risk with my son (who was dying of boredom while I took business calls). This was the best customer service I'd had anywhere in a long time. They took a low-on-the-awesome-scale situation and actually made it somewhat enjoyable. Thanks, guys! read more

We've had great experience with Grease Monkey. I always take my car to the dealer for repairs, but just having them look at it costs me almost $100! My husband started taking his car to Grease Monkey for oil changes, and we learned that they do other minor work as well. I was getting ready for a long trip, and had a slight leak that was worrisome. I ran into a guy who I believe is a manager at Walgreens the other day, and he said "bring it in and ask for Johnny, he's awesome." Well, this morning I took it in, expecting to have it there all day and spend several hundred dollars. They got it in quickly, figured out where the leak was, trimmed the hose and put on a new clamp, and I got out of there without breaking the bank. They also took the time to assess another repair I need (four motor mounts broken on a Nissan Murano), and we discussed a plan of action for getting it taken care of. After they returned my car, in less than 45 minutes, we talked about "car stuff" casually...these guys (and Amanda!) seem to really know what they're talking about and have a passion for cars. I had such a positive experience here. My engine overheated and died at the C470 off ramp onto Broadway late last Monday night. I got a tow truck to the nearest Grease Monkey as I believed the issue to be bad workmanship at a different location the previous weekend. I called the next morning and talked to Dymin. He told me he would take a look and call me back. He called, worried that I had driven too much on a hot engine and the engine would need an overhaul. I got there, and he was able to get the vehicle started. He did some troubleshooting (it was not poor workmanship from the other Grease Monkey location) and gave me a run down of the problem. He told me they could fix the issue but it would be a few days. After identifying that I needed the vehicle sooner than that, he helped me shuttle it to a close auto shop that they work frequently with. When we got there, he explained the problem to the technicians and we were on our way. I was so happy for the help in a stressful time when I was without transportation. He charged me nothing for the service. I will definitely be returning here for my scheduled maintenance in the future! read more

I was at this store a few days ago and was really impressed with the cleanliness inside, the fresh cookies/drinks, and the considerate attitude of the mechanics. I had been sent there by another store to get an oil plug with a tap down to make new threads to hold it in, after just getting an oil change. Now at this new store, even though they had to empty the new oil change I just had done, they didn't charge me for the work or the oil or the new plug, and they were very friendly. Do you ever do something for someone to be nice? Yesterday was the 5th time I took in this car that wasn't mine to get an oil change. The cashier called the owner of the car up but I went instead stating that I was the one paying for it, as I have done for the past 5 times. They were troubled that the name on the credit card was different than the name on the car and that they needed my info to send me mailings. I did not want that so my address was not given. Not wanting to get mailings from them upset them I guess. I go in the next day to talk to them about my car and getting some headlight restoration done on it. I was stunned at what happened. Basically I was accused of bringing in a stolen car the previous day. I asked the young man if the owner was there and he said he was. He finally did say he was one of the managers. I could never get the owners name. Sad how rudely a place of business can treat people. Looking elsewhere for future oil changes. read more
