I came in for a basic maintenance check and oil change. No appointment was needed, I drove drove in. There was only one person ahead of me and the whole visit didn't take more than 30 minutes. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They walked me through the check up after it was complete and included recommendations. The oil change was about $70, a little more than I'd want to pay for it but the service was great and they topped off the rest of my fluids for free. Pulled my car into this shop on Monday afternoon after it was making an awful noise that I had no idea how to handle. The guys were so friendly and accommodating, and definitely did way more than they had to to help me out. Not only did they not charge me a thing but they brought me back to the garage and showed me exactly what was wrong. They explained to me in terms that I could understand everything I needed to know about what had happened, what I should do next, etc. Having admitted to them that I had NO idea about cars and after spending about 30-40 min at the shop, they easily could have charged me for probably anything and I would have paid but they were honest, friendly, and beyond helpful. A little torn between 2 and 3 stars. Everything was fine, but it seemed pretty expensive for an oil change and rotated tires. I also asked if they could call when the oil change was done, but they forgot. I have been coming to this location for a few years now. I always got an oil change and that went ok. No issues. Then I have a light come on saying I need an oil change. I have to get this taken care of quick because I have dinner with my daughter that night and it's quite a drive. I went here thinking I was in good hands. It was customer appreciation day and there was food and games. I went to pay and the attendant ran my card twice on accident. I didn't process what he'd told me at first then it hit me. My balance was almost zero now. I have dinner with my daughter and now my debit card is useless. They said "it'll go right back on your card today" well it's not that easy. It's been 3 days and possibly another 5 for that money to get put back on my card and physically available to me again. I had to cancel the dinner and I haven't seen her in months!!! Now I'm trying to schedule another time to see her and it's looking like another month at least, I know this is not their problem but this is what happened to me because of their "little" mistake. I am not happy with they way they handled this and I can't see myself going back again. I trusted them when I needed everything to go smoothly. I trusted them and they let me down in a HUGE way! Absolute clowns work here. Brought my car in for an oil change and was immediately hit with an up sell attempt to synthetic oil which I politely declined. Before it was even in the bay the second up sell attempt happened. No thanks, I use conventional as recommended by the manufacturer. Finally, as i was waiting for my service, another Tech comes at me with the up sell. Flat out refuses to put anything but synthetic in my car, says manufacturer requires it. Umm hello? I've owned this car for 7 years, it came with conventional oil, the owners manual says conventional oil, every other service station in the last 7 years has had no problem putting conventional oil in it. Got my keys and left. Went to another Grease Monkey down the street who had no problem servicing my car with conventional oil. Stay away from this place! read more

Let me just say having neglected my car for awhile I was a little embarrased to take it anywhere. I stopped first at the two walmarts in this area and left after being told at BOTH locations it would be a 2 hour wait. I seen this location and decided to stop in. I am a little leery not knowing anything about cars taking it in and being pressured to buy services I dont need. I drove right up and was greeted immediately. The advisor was very friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. He even ended up fixing and installing new windshield wipers (the motors had been broken for awhile). I was so pleased not only with the customer service but not being pushed into anything just informed. When i got to my car I seen that the winshield was completely clean, they organized my car and left a mint, trash bag and rose in my car. Aaron provided outstanding customer service. My car's air conditioning was making a loud noise like the fan or compressor was failing. Aaron suggested he change the belt which he felt would probably solve the problem. He as absolutely correct so not only did I get an oil change but my A?C fixed. And I am sure I saved money compared to having the auto dealer fix the problem and it only took one hour to complete the service. Aaron is a great representative for GM. Went there today, for the sole intent of getting a new fuel filter (check engine light coming on, code 43, fuel supply system...all research says this is the best place to start in trying to fix it). I told them I will need an oil change soon, would like to get all done at once, and if they can't do the filter I will go somewhere else for all work. I was told by a tech that there is no fuel filter on my 1990 Honda Accord (only a sort-of fuel filter inside the gas tank, and you don't replace it, you wait for it to go out and then replace it...???). I told him I was pretty certain that's incorrect, that my Haynes manual has instructions on how to replace it, and that I was finding forums online (right at that moment), that say it's on the passenger side firewall under the vacuum box. He still says no, best I can do to help the fuel problem and CEL is to get a fuel system clean...so he talked me into paying for that. While they were working on it, I texted a few mechanic friends whom all insisted that there is a fuel filter under the hood. I asked a 2nd tech, and even pointed out where it should be. He assured me there was no fuel filter up there; he had "followed the fuel line up to the engine and couldn't find one". I knew this was all wrong, so on the way home I stopped at Midas. A tech there came out and showed me where it was, right where I said, under the vacuum box, passenger firewall. It's really annoying that they don't know what they're doing, but what's worse is that if I didn't have the knowledge and research abilities I do, I would have taken their word for it, and never attempted to change the fuel filter, which of course could cause other problems (like killing the fuel pump). I'm not saying I expected them to diagnose the CEL problem, or that a new filter would have fixed it, but that's the entire reason I even took my car to them. And they sold me crap I don't need (CEL went on during my drive home). read more
