I am new to this Great Clips location but appreciated my visit today. I received Eileen as my stylist. Eileen followed my notes and gave me some good advice for my hair and made some adjustments to help cut my hair in a way that makes it look the best because of how it grows. She understood the flaws with my hair and cut and styled it in a way that it looked stylish and well suited for me. The other stylists seem friendly and have good customer service when I checked in. I will be back to this location for my monthly haircut. read more

Since having to go through chemo, I haven't had to get a hair cut in over a year. Now that it's growing in nicely it needed to be trimmed and evened out. I came to this salon and explained I wanted to keep my "chemo curls". The stylist understood and cleaned up the ends evened me out. I am very pleased with the out come. I came in with high expectations because I have never had a negative experience here before. I was confident I would leave satisfied, but unfortunately that was not the case. Tammy was my stylist. Before she began cutting my hair, I clearly explained that I wanted long layers, a V-cut, slight face framing, and to keep my length. While examining my hair, it became caught on one of my ear piercings, prompting her to comment, "Those piercings hurt when hair gets stuck in them, I'm sure." I assured her I was fine, and we continued. Throughout the appointment, Tammy repeatedly commented on how thick my hair is. That alone wasn't the issue as I hear it often. What concerned me was her demeanor. She sighed repeatedly while sectioning my hair and made me feel as though my hair was an inconvenience. Before she even started cutting, another stylist asked whether a client who had left the waiting area would be returning. Tammy replied, "I don't think so. She looks like a tweaker anyway," then added, "She looked like she was off methamphetamine or something." I initially stayed quiet, but eventually told her that wasn't a nice thing to say. She responded, "Well, that's just the truth," then justified her comments by saying she had worked as a substance abuse counselor for over ten years and had empathy for people struggling with addiction. I found that contradictory. Regardless of someone's background, referring to a client as a "tweaker" is neither compassionate nor empathetic. Even if the woman had been under the influence, making those remarks about a customer in front of another client was inappropriate. Later, Tammy aggressively combed through my hair and caught one of my earrings hard enough that I immediately grabbed my ear and flinched. Although she apologized, she immediately blamed my thick hair and said my earrings were difficult to see. I explained that accidents happen, but knowing I had multiple ear piercings, she should have exercised more care. Instead of simply acknowledging the mistake, she continued emphasizing how difficult my hair was to work with. At that point, I told her I no longer wanted the face-framing because I simply wanted the appointment to end. She repeatedly asked me to stand so she could continue touching up my hair. Because I had all my belongings in my hands and was becoming frustrated, I asked her to just finish. She replied, "Well, no, because you won't stand up for me to touch up your hair." I finally stood and said, "I'll stand if it means you'll finish." When the cape came off, I was shocked. Despite clearly asking to keep my length, Tammy removed well over four inches of hair. The V-cut I requested was nonexistent, and my hair was dramatically shorter than I had asked for. When I expressed my concern, she insisted she had only cut about an inch and pointed to the hair on the floor as proof, despite another stylist already having swept up a significant amount of my hair. I told her there was no need to gaslight me because we both knew much of the hair had already been cleaned up. Looking at my hair in my phone's camera, I became emotional. I have always had long hair, and I am now about an inch away from having a bob, something I clearly did not want. I expressed my disappointment with both the haircut and her attitude throughout the appointment, including the way she openly judged another client. Rather than acknowledging my concerns, she again referenced her years as a substance abuse counselor. I left feeling dismissed, unheard, and deeply disappointed. My haircut bears little resemblance to what I requested, and the overall experience was unprofessional from beginning to end. Between the judgmental comments about another customer, making me feel like my hair was a burden, carelessly pulling on my ear piercings, and removing far more hair than I explicitly asked her to, this was easily the worst experience I have had. I cannot comfortably wear my hair down, and I am genuinely upset by the outcome. read more

I got my haircut by Tammy and she did a great job with my hair. I asked for a fade and she did a great job making my cut look like I came straight out of a barber shop. She always provides me with the best conversations and kindness. I love how she takes her time with my hair instead of trying to get me out of the shop as fast as possible. I was in need of a braid up do on short notice and Great Clips was able to come through. Amy helped me at first and was honest that she could do a classic French braid and Cody could also assist, but could not do the Dutch. I was fine with that and appreciated the honesty. They don't book appointments and it's a first come first serve basis. I was advised they get very busy on weekend mornings so I made sure to get there early on Saturday. You sign in at the front and they call your name. Amy informed me Ilyn (Aileen pronounced) has experience in my braid request so I showed her the picture of the Dutch braid I wanted. She says she has done it before so that was good. Do not wash your hair the day before an updo as it makes it too soft to style. Nonetheless, Ilyn was able to style my hair and it kept up throughout the day running around. The pricing was very reasonable and I found everyone there to be helpful and friendly. I can see why they get very busy as they are straightforward and skilled at what they do. There was a wide range of clients from adults to kids.The place was very clean and they had some hair products for sale to help you style your look. I had checked in online in the parking lot. I walked in and was greeted by one of the two hairdressers that were in the salon. Both of the hairdressers were working on their respective customers. The woman who checked me in finished with her male customer, then talked to the only other customer in the place which was a younger girl and we both were sitting there for a bit. The hairdresser who had finished with the male customer went off into another room and closed the door. She didn't tell us she was going on a break, she didn't tell us she was leaving, she just left and went into another room. I looked at the other customer and said did she go on a break? We both shook our heads. I said see ya and left. This is not a high-end establishment. If you're going to leave or take an hour lunch, let us know. The computer screen said 65-minute wait and there's two customers in the establishment? I won't be back. read more

I am new to Great Clips and to this location. The pre-registration does not give enough information how it works. I had 10-min from my 5-min away location. When I arrived, all 4-stylists had clients (two males, two women) but no worker acknowledged me, so I just sat and waited. As the one skinnier woman and shorter man finished their clients, they checked them out and walked away. Both walked to the back. The woman even went outside with her phone. The man seemed to visit the restroom and came back to his station to look at his phone. Still, as I don't know if they were on break or the procedures, I waited patiently. I must have sat for nearly 20-25 min with "still" no acknowledgement!! Then, a mom walks in with a stroller.... she was acknowledged and took the little boy in. What the Heck Great Clips... you have poor CS, but maybe after this post may adjust how you give service to EVERYONE!! Besides, the preregistration said "0=zero" wait time!! Stephanie Street location is the one my family and I go to. The salon is clean, bright, organized and observes the COVID19 requirements. We both are happy with our haircuts. I purchased a bottle of Great Clips brand of shampoo on sale. The hairstylist's here are always enthusiastic, welcoming and caring. I received an interesting haircut from here. The "stylist," if you can call them that, decided to take their own direction when cutting my hair and butchered it. Completely ignored my request and settled with their fastest alternative. My haircut was incomplete, sloppy and lopsided. I this was the case when I was in the chair but, I was rushed out so quickly I didn't get a proper look at my hair. When several people pointed out how uneven the cut was, I was thoroughly embarrassed. Lots of split ends to top off the uneven layers. This was probably due to dull shears. I would not recommend going here because they don't take much pride in their work. If you don't want to service people, just say so and I'll be on my way. Hair takes months to grow so, it can't be "fixed" with a redo at Great Clips in the following days. read more

This is a brand spanking new Great Clips that opened at the northeast corner of Stephanie Street and Wigwam Parkway in back of Raisin Canes and Carl's Jr. It was from Raisin Canes that my eyes caught their $6.99 special. At this time my mountain man with a tan look was getting old, and this was the perfect opportunity to revert to my clean cut look. When I progressed closer to Great Clips, something happened. I noticed a sign advertising that they are offering a $4.99 hair cut special. It was inevitable that I was taking advantage of this special along with the $5 beard shave. When I walked in Great Clips there were four hair stylists and one customer in front of me. One of the hair stylists greeted me and asked me for my phone number. This information linked on to my Great Clips history. It is a history that dates back to several hair cuts at their nearby Pebble Marketplace location. Thanks to their computer technology, the hair stylist knew my hair style preference. The hair stylist was Thalia. It is my understanding that in March, this $4.99 hair cut will increase to $14. Taking this into consideration, I am also reviewing this from the perspective of a $14 hair cut. The one thing I need to write is that when it reaches the standard price after the Grand Opening Era, I would hope it includes shampoo. From the perspective of a $14 hair cut, I would leave a satisfied customer. Thalia did an outstanding job transitioning my mountain man with a tan look into a clean cut look. She was very detailed and took her time working on my hair and shaving my beard. There were quite a few 1980s and 1990s songs that played on the radio by the time she completed her work. Most of all she had a talent for styling hair. This haircut impressed me to the degree that I posted a selfie on the business page. My regret is that I did not post a selfie before the haircut to show the before and after. On account of the fact that Thalia put so much effort into the haircut it would be worth $14. Now at the $4.99 Grand Opening Era price through March 2019 this hair cut along with the $5 beard shave was a steal. read more

Taylor and I just got our hair cut here and both cuts came out exactly as expected. The salon is a good size for the brand, clean and well staffed, and we will definitely be back again! The location is on the corner of Wigwam and Stephanie, behind Raising Canes and Carl's Jr. They are currently running a grand opening special offering $5 haircuts for the rest of January '19 and then $6 through February '19! Came in today to get my daughters haircut. Unfortunately I did not even want to cut her hair her father did and he said if I did not cut it at least above the shoulders then he was going to cut it himself. So here I am I walk in she asked what I would like I showed her three pictures one of how I want the bangs one of how I want the layers and one how I want the length and angle of the haircut it short in the back and longer in the front . She starts cutting and just gives a straight across cut with some things and during the process I just let her do what she does because that's her job I don't know how to cut hair. Thinking maybe she learned it all up and then goes from there but nope supposed to drop off my daughter and says OK so I ask are we not doing the angle but shorter in the back and longer in the front . she proceeds to tell me how that's going to be difficult for my daughter to maintain and it dragged on and on about how difficult it's going to be obviously making my daughter feel less comfortable with it. I said it's fine that's what I showed her when we first came in and that's what we want. She said OK instead of cutting again just for it to be a shorter version of the first things still no angle. I live right up the street and finally decided to come in and get my haircut. I've been dreading going into a salon because I resorted to at home Covid haircuts twice during the pandemic and had really uneven layers. I'm graduating next week so I decided now or never. I'm happy to say, Nikki (I may have spelled this wrong) did a great job. She evened out my hair and gave me cute layers. I have a stylist that I've been going to for over 15 yrs, however she lives in San Diego and Covid made it impossible to get down there. I have been going to great clips since I moved here to Vegas 5 yrs ago. I have never received poor customer service from any of the great clips. Just recently I got my hair cut at Great Clips at the Wigwam center The lady that cut my hair was Liz, she did an out standing job. She listened to me what I wanted and did everything I wanted. Very polite, interacts with conversation., she takes her time cutting my hair and is always focus on detail. I highly recommend any great clips and any of the staff but Liz does an awesome job I will be back. read more

We usually get a decent haircut for the price, I think it was just the luck of the draw this time but they really messed up my boys hair! In hindsight I should've had them fix it but I was getting a slight attitude from one of the females before the haircuts so I just wanted to pay and get on with our day. I brought my boys (4 and 6) here yesterday, and neither of the hair cutters seemed experienced or good with kids. The guy, whose name I didn't catch, snapped at my 4 year old multiple times for moving (and he wasn't even being extremely overactive, especially for a 4 year old). Before my son even sat in the chair the guy was telling him "no, no, no we won't have any of that!" If Great Clips offers kids cuts, they need to be able to communicate with them, or at least know enough just to have the parent guide the kiddo. This was most likely the worst haircut experience I've ever had. The person who gave me the haircut name Nikki was extremely rude to me. I went in hoping for a regular cut. After a few minutes she was done. I went back a few days later because my hair was uneven, hoping someone would help me fix it. Went in for a cut earlier. Staff was nice. Clean Environment. But the haircut was something else. Completely ruined my haircut extremely short and just looks stupid, bad, and trash. My wife immediately laughed at me when I got home. I was frustrated. I usually get a comb over with the sides shaved, and just a little bit off the top. Exactly what a comb over should be. I asked for her to go shorter, but still long enough for my part and to comb over. She even showed me what she would cut, and I said no that's to short to comb over. So she said okay, and went to work without asking again. Now my hair is completely short, and definitely can't comb over. It's just spikey. Like literally there is no way to comb it over. I came in for a trim in the right side of my hair is noticeably shorter than the left side of my hair I came back in four days later to get it even now I told them that I just had my haircut and then even and I needed it fixed were they put me on the list and I continued to wait until four people went ahead of me. Redos are supposed to go straight back to get their hair fixed because they've already waited in line they've already paid for their haircut and they just needed to get it fixed. So I left and went to the green valley great clips where they took me straight back like they were supposed to in the first place. read more
