Three stars since my son's hair looked really good. Mine...not so much. I ended up going somewhere else to fix the "layers." The other place couldn't do much with it without cutting a few more inches off, so I have to let it grow out again. And no, I did not complain while I was there. It was just one of those times where you don't want any additional damage to be done. I'll definitely keep taking my son there, but I think I'll steer clear for my own hair. I honestly feel bad for writing this review. But I ended up spending the same amount of money I usually pay at one place for two places, when all I wanted was a quick/cheap trim. read more

I went here today to get my hair styled for my wedding anniversary and came out very unhappy! The lady kept saying my hair was a certain way and it won't curl! I told her I had had my hair curled all my life! At the end of it all, my hair looked hideous and I had to pay another salon to undo what she had done and do it again! So unhappy that I wasted my time and money and ruined my special day! read more

Well they didn't give me the haircut I wanted they messed up my hair. And they wouldn't treat me respectfully. They can loose there temper fast. If you take a long time picking how long you want your hair to be they take too much off. And last but not least they charge a lot off if you're older then 10. read more

I usually receive good service here. However, at my last haircut a new haircutter attended to me. He has his license/permit but seems to be a novice and did not know how to cut hair. Another stylist had to step in and correct the haircut. Before paying the haircutter had to take me back and clean up the back and neck area. I also noticed that he did not take care of the sideburns. I understand that new haircutters need a chance to work but I felt I was at a haircutter school. It is time to find another location. The haircutter gets one star for the haircut and one for politeness. read more

I have had several bad hair cuts over the years. It is a shame. I used to go there just because it's close to my house. Most of them don't have experience and they don't spend enough time on your hair. Their price is too high and it's not worth it to get a hair cut from there. Not great clips. My hair was cut way too short, and a mere mention of the hair length got me berated for not understanding hair. I didn't appreciate walking out of there feeling crummy on the inside while looking ridiculous on the outside. As such, I do not recommend this establishment for your haircutting needs. read more

I have had mostly great service here, with only one exception spanning over a years worth of time and at least 6...I guess they're barbers when they cut my hair...stylists. Customer service is outstanding and the gals are very friendly. Turn around time is fast, they take notes on your previous hair cut so it's easy to adjust or repeat styles. I've been coming to this Great Clips location for a couple of years now... the girls here are amazing. I've moved several times in the time that I've been coming to this location and they never disappoint. They are so sweet, helpful and genuinely want you to leave happy. I usually find one person to come back to every time but at this location, there is not one person that I wouldn't trust to cut my hair... and honestly, I'm a pretty hard sell. I've been trying to get the same looking haircut for 5 years. Not a single person was able to achieve this, that is until I went to Great Clips on Foothills Blvd. I picked out a picture of the style I want and to my surprise the person at the time cutting my hair (have gone twice now) studied the picture frequently throughout the haircut. FINALLY! Someone who could give me the cut I wanted!!!! They aren't the typical 5 minute haircut types, they really care about giving you the cut you want. Needless to say, I was so happy with my haircut that I now drive from San Francisco to Roseville just to have these lovely people cut my hair. They're amazing. So far I've had Brooke and Kyle cut my hair. Ask for them. They might be young, but they're great with scissors. read more

I worked with a wonderful young girl whose name I unfortunately forgot (she has long maroon hair with pink tips). She was very patient & asked a lot of questions to make sure it was what I wanted. I usually go to the great clips by target, but I decided to go to this one because my usual one had a very long wait. I come here thinking I'll get the same quality haircut, but I was very wrong. If you get a Russian lady with blonde hair, ask for someone else. 1. She didn't speak very good English. 2. She doesn't understand what you want. 3. She does what she thinks will looks best. 4. She will put gel in your hair without asking so beware. I asked for a little more than a trim, and she almost cuts all my hair off. And I didn't have short hair. I don't want short hair, nor do I look good with short hair. I'm not bagging on all the stylists there, I'm sure I would have gotten a decent cut from another stylist. They made a mistake hiring the stylist I got though. So thanks to her, it looks like I'll be wearing a hat for a while. Go to the great lips next to target and ask for Kevin. Quality of the haircut depends on who you get, but if you find one hair stylist you prefer then just stick with them. I always just go on the fly and get whoever is available and I usually don't have any complaints. Everyone who I've ever had cut my hair is very nice and professional. read more

We have been frequent customers of Great Clips in Roseville, CA on Foothill Boulevard. I am so mad tonight at how lazy their two stylists are that are working there. I went on line to put my daughter in line for a wash and blow out. I called them after just to let them know that we weren't coming in for a hair cut since that is the only option when you sign in on-line. The gal seemed reluctant to want to do a wash and blow dry and said they don't do anything but hair cuts after 7 p.m. This was a surprise to me because we have taken our daughter there many times for the wash and blow dry in the evening. She claimed to ask a manager then called me back to say they were too busy. We just happened to be next door having dinner at Kazukos so noticed that they had absolutely no customers and both stylists were sitting in chairs talking. I went in to ask about it and was told again they were too busy to take her. We left Kazukos 30 minutes later and not 1 customer came in during those 30 minutes and both stylists were in the same two chairs talking. I am so disgusted that these people actually have jobs. Anywhere else they would be fired for being lazy and discouraging business so they can sit and chat for two hours until closing time. read more

I have been going to Great Clips ever since it opened on Foothills Blvd in Roseville, Ca. The stylist follows what is in the computer system. I have been going bald for over a decade and have used a comb over. No stylist has ever done anything to that part of my head. Today's stylist used the smallest possible attachment to the clippers and proceeded to completely mow off all of the hair on top of my head. I wear glasses so my vision is fuzzy. I was mortified to experience what was being done. I was speechless and dumbfounded. I knew it was too late to do anything about my ruined hair. Now I am totally bald on the top and am thoroughly and completely disgusted. It will take years, if ever, for the little hair I had on the top of my head to regrow. Now I will be forced to wear a cap or hat permanently in public and have to put up with ridicule and teasing from others. I cant believe what has happened to me. I know that your response will be that hair grows back. This is not the case when the top of your head is bald. To add insult to injury, I asked for a senior rate and was charged full price. At this point, rather than create a scene I paid and left in disgust. The stylist is Asian and speaks in broken English. If she does not understand what a customer requests, she should not be working. I am appalled at what happened. I lodged a complaint on the website and never got a response. At the very least, a manager should have contacted me regarding this incident. If you value your appearance, avoid this place. read more

I had my hair done since the grand opening. Thought this would be a great place for me and my family since were on a budget. However the first time I got my hair done was fabulous. The second or third time the service got worse. Carol started to argue with me and over-charged me for the cut & style I wanted. Unfortunately I had to go talk to the manager about it and got my refund. I won't be coming back here for such lousy service. read more

This was the worst hair cut I have every received in my life!!! On Saturday 9/19 in the morning I went in to get a trim and long layers for my hair. Easy cut right? No! Not sure of this woman's name but she has short blonde hair and seems Ukrainian or Russian. She has no idea what she is doing! First she has me get up out of my seat and stand so she can cut the length of my hair which is about to the middle of my back. She says to me my hair is too long and that I needed to stand up out of my chair for her to reach it (wow really??) She never sectioned off my hair at all just cut away after combing and wetting my naturally curly hair. Then she does not know how to layer, I have what looks like someone put a bowl around the top part of my hair and it is not blended with the rest of my hair at all. Then she says she wants to thin out my thick hair by texturizing it, wow big mistake. My hair is thinned out from three inches from the bottom. So I have big poofy hair from the top of my head down 3-4 inches. I swear if I could stand out in front of the store with a sign saying DO NOT GO IN TO GET A HAIR CUT, I would!! Worse experience ever and I think I could have done a better job myself!! read more
