    Garlic cheddar rolls

We were visiting Warrenton and wanted to grab some baked goods before heading out. The breads looked amazing and we went with the garlic cheddar rolls. The sweets selection had a bunch of "bars" and I saw there was a bread pudding option. I pretty much knew I wanted some, but they gave a sample and I had to get two. They were AMAZING. We also got a brownie and a mocha chocolate scone. I wish I lived closer because I would be here regularly!

It is not the same. Yes, everyone is super nice, but pricing of a brownie $5 and it ended up being dry. The lemon raspberry muffon $6. $11 for 2 bakery goods. hmmmm I bake from scratch and have my own recipes so sorry I won't be back. Sadly, I went to bunco and a gal had entire pan of brownies. They were moist and incredibly chocolatey. Everyone loved them. And she said she used 2 $2 boxes from the store. Sadly, disappointed.

Saturday when I was out with my daughter we came into Great harvest. I needed coffee badly and since there was a little line, we looked around real quick. Nice racks of bread and cobbler. I bought the cheesey jalapeño bread and once at the counter I added a hot caramel latte. Yes. Even though it was 100° I still drink hot coffee. Can't stand cold brews/coffees. This was a really great cup of coffee. I drank it all. It's such a small shop though. When paying I feel like I'm pushed out the store trying to get my receipt and put my wallet away. I shouldn't have to do that outside on the street.

Delicious bakery! We enjoyed a specialty sandwich on the grain bread. Oatmeal raisin cookie was fantastic! Friendly staff! Outdoor seating

The Bottom Line: I'll be honest, I stopped by thinking it was a local business and not a nation-wide franchise. However that doesn't mean this Main St. corner shop didn't have the local charm and the freshly made goods to earn top marks in my book. I was driving through town and I stopped by for lunch. I got the Steak and Cheese and it was one of the freshest sandwiches I've ever experienced. The sourdough bread tasted like it just came off the baking racks. Here's a tip: There's a public parking lot in the back!

The breads are delicious, the savannah bar top notch. The smoothies are overpoweringly sweet though.

Ask the Community - Great Harvest Bread

    Is anything here vegan?

Hi Rebekah, all but two of the many varieties of bread we scratch-make include honey as an ingredient. According to a very strict definition of veganism, honey is an animal byproduct and not allowed. That leaves just our Sourdough bread at the…

**** updated response to owner ***…read more I hear what you're saying about space and production limits, but that's exactly the point. If your setup can't support the volume and variety you're offering, then the issue is planning, not just space. Offering 16+ flavors while running out of plain bagels (or any bagels for that matter) before 10:30am isn't a demand anomaly, it's a mismatch between your menu and your capacity. Make fewer varieties, produce more of the basics, and you don't lose customers walking out. This isn't about comparing you to high-volume shops, it's about getting the fundamentals right. Plain bagels are the baseline. If those are gone, the rest of the menu doesn't really matter. End result is still the same, long wait, no product, lost sale. ***** Waited 12 minutes at Weird Dough Bagels this morning just to be told they were out of multiple bagels, including plain. Plain bagels... gone before 10:30am. If your concept is 16+ flavors, maybe figure out how to not run out of the one thing every single customer expects you to have. This isn't "high demand," it's bad planning. I'm from New York and I've never seen a bagel shop miss on basics like this. And in all the years going to Bodo's Bagels, I've never seen them run out of bagels, period. As a former café owner, running out of core items isn't quirky or artisanal, it's a failure. Walked out without ordering, about a $50 ticket lost because you couldn't manage inventory on the most basic product you sell. Do less, do it better. Right now it's neither.

New location, updated review! Still the great customer service they've always had. A great dine-in…read moreor take-out location now. They have plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside, or you can order to-go. They also have coffee, pastries, and other drinks (soda, water, etc.). Parking is available on the street or in one of the many municipal lots in town, so don't be discouraged by their old town location. Even from a municipal lot, it's a short walk to their shop. They're open during the day now, but are about to start evenings Thurs-Sat with mocktails and melt sandwiches!
