    Addictive sushi

Average today for lunch. Standard buffet dishes. Nothing stood out, less interesting items today as i remembered. New dish double cook pork, is ok. Still good sushi. Loving the hmong style pepper; very spicy. Drink included in price about twenty bucks w tip. Nice to see always alot of folks here...

Food can be a hit and miss, depends on who is cooking, food can be really good or bland, but always loved this place. Price not bad for a buffet, for 2 people it's about $25 each. Nice variety of foods, has salad station and offers sushi. More times than not this place is great! Usually decently busy, but they seat people fast and normally can find a spot and not really wait time. Food was well stocked. Service was decent on refilling drinks. Not very chatty staff but they do decent on keeping an eye on refilling drinks, Recommend a try!

    The crab? Super nasty tasting

Me and my significant other came here with high hopes. We looked at the sea food the salt and pepper shrimp was gooey and cold. Crab what appears to be imitation crab. The lo main had no flavor. The beef and broccoli was by far the most awful beef and broccoli I've had no flavor beef was stringy and chewy. We came here around dinner time so you can imagine the amount of people here. Generally disappointing. Food was not fulfilling

Buffet prices, July 2023. Weekdays $15.82 lunch, $20.49 dinner, which has more shrimp dishes.

I have eaten at buffets like this in Minnesota and California. Over the years, the food has been almost exactly the same. The Chinese entrées are good, but not great. The sushi tends to be good, and the American food tends to be very plain and bland. If you actually want to eat, healthy, you can do that here. However, you'll have to avoid most of the things regarded as comfort food. Instead, look through the offerings of the salad bar, where you will find plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit. They do make some pretty good chicken dishes. Probably my favorite is the black pepper chicken. They also do a pretty good beef and broccoli. Service was good, my ice tea delivered with a smile. I had a little bit of ice cream for dessert. The texture was a little grainy. Probably sat there too long. Next time, I'll probably have the dinner buffet. I do kind of like their shrimp dishes.

This is the go to Chinese buffet in the east metro. Sushi, the typical Chinese dishes, desert, and tonight they had shrimp, prawns, clams, and mussels.

I was not a fan of the cream cheese wontons, as the outside used was too thick. The servers were quick and accommodating to our drink requests & cleaning up our finished plates. Beverages are included which was nice. I love getting hot tea. The restaurant was clean & well taken care of. They even have a waterfall with a pond with real fish in it, my little brother loved this. We would definitely come back.

You pay when you first arrive with cash or card (they only take visa and mastercard). Note that if you pay with a card and add a tip, they will just give you cash from the register for the tip amount to leave at your table when you leave. I would bring cash to tip your server with at your table. After paying, you can seat yourself anywhere and a server will come by and take your beverage order. The buffet includes unlimited soft drinks, drip coffee, and hot tea. Their Dr. Pepper is extra syrupy compared to normal fountain drinks, would recommend! Throughout the meal, the server will clear your empty plates and at the end of the meal they will drop off fortune cookies and towelettes. Crab days are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. During these days they serve lil crabs. There is also a build your own noodle station where you can choose your mix-ins and sauces, and they'll fry it up for you. The fried rice is solid and the garlic toast is shockingly really good. Food is pretty fresh and warm, and there are people constantly refilling trays and cleaning the buffet.

They had such a big offering of seafood I wasn't expecting including jumbo shrimp the size of my hand. The jumbo shrimp were good too, not mushy and not overcooked. Staff at the check-in counter were pleasant and kept everyone moving through quickly. Not sure why but I was really impressed that our takeout meals came with a packaged utensil set (wooden fork, individually wrapped toothpick and a folded napkin) and it came with a can of Pepsi. I have witness more than once when I go there etiquette are not being enforced on people that eat there. During dinner time I went I saw a young boy around the age of 12+ constantly picking food with his hands. At his age he should know better but I feel like the worker working by the food should have said something. He picked a crawfish, crab claw, cookies, and sushi with his bare hands. This same boy also grabbed a bowl, walked around rubbing, fisting the inside of the bowl and proceeded to put back that same bowl back with the clean bowls. Again the worker just watched him and did nothing. A previous time I went I saw a older lady complaining to the old men that works there about how cold the string beans was. When she got done talking to the old men she picked up a wonton with her hand that had gloves on in front of the old men that works there. He said nothing to her. Tongs are there for a reason to pick up food. Another incident a lady dropped a wonton on the ground. Instead of her just leaving it on the ground she thought she was doing good by picking it up and placing on the counter. Little did she know that 5 seconds later a worker picks up that dirty wonton on the counter and puts it back with all of the other wontons. I get the place does not want to be wasteful. However when food is out of the tray and on the counter it should not get placed back with the clean food. They use a all purpose rags to clean the counter. Nasty stuff gets spread from those rags. Now people are eating contaminated food. All of my experiences in this buffet has to be some kind of health violation. It is just beyond nasty. I will not likely go back to this buffet.

The restaurant itself is really beautiful and it's also very big. I guessed 200 seats plus patio. The space is very elegant, and clearly a lot of attention went into the design. I would describe it as kind of modern steakhouse vibe. Dark wood, faux fur and leather finishes, etc. Elegant. We were seated at a booth by the bar with a big window view of the patio and parking lot. We were immediately slightly offput because the marble ledge separating the booth from the window was dirty - grease and little food crumbs. Not the best first impression. The booth and table were both clean though. Our waitress, Ash, did provide good service but I would say honestly she was a bit too attentive if that makes sense, and she was also too chatty for us. There were several times when she lingered at our table to tell us something we didn't inquire about or to just talk about something. It was a bit annoying honestly. But the service itself was good. We were also visited by a manager during our visit. We each got a mocktail (it was lunch) but they have an impressive drink menu. I got the Red Rose which was really tasty, and my husband got the pineapple drink, which he also said was good. -We ordered the chimichuri shrimp appetizer, which was pretty banging. Four really large shrimp, each on its own piece of bruschetta, doused in chimichuri sauce. Even for me, with a low spice tolerance, it was just the right amount of spice and it was really really good. -We also got a round of oysters. The oysters themselves were fresh - no complaints there. When they were delivered to our table, the person did not tell us which variety was which (pretty standard when serving oysters at any restaurant). Because we eat oysters a lot and one of the varieties was sweet petite, it was fairly easy to tell which was which. But in my opinion, there should have been information given when the oysters were served. The other big issue was the shucking. Some of the oysters hadn't been fully separated from the shell, and we both found ourselves picking bits of shell from our mouths. We actually had a little discussion about the $6 price tag. I felt it was reasonable, my husband felt it was high. But for $6 apiece, the oysters need to be shucked properly and these were not. Ash also made a point to tell us all kinds of information we didn't ask for about their happy hour, which includes $3 oysters. That would be a steal if they learn how to shuck them. -I got the half french dip sandwich, and I was really glad I just ordered the half because what I was served was totally a whole sandwich in my book. The accompanying fries were delicious, crispy, deep golden brown and hot. The au jus served with the sandwich was slightly on the salty side but not terrible. And I do realize it's au jus. In all it was a pretty decent sandwich. -Hubby got the sea bass sandwich, which was also pretty tasty. I'll be honest and say that I think the entree sea bass would have been better. The fish was so good that I don't honestly think you needed the bun. But it was really good and fresh and delicious. We skipped dessert. In all, a pretty solid dining experience and the food was very good. But it was the minor things mentioned that bothered us, so 3 stars with room for improvement upon our return.

What we didnt know at the time was that they closed at 830. I believe this was a big part of what went wrong that night. At Bullvinos, you pay one fee and you get salad bar access and they come to your table with cuts meat until you're full. So many things went wrong this night. The waiter came over and asked what we wanted to drink, we asked for water and he poured us water from a bottle and he never came back to the table after that. We didnt know that the water cost money until someone later asked if we wanted another bottle or just tap water and the bottle was on the bill. They usually bring over bread and mashed potatoes and after being there a while, I had to ask for this and the bread wasnt fresh. The salad bar was closing shortly after we got there and staff made an announcement "the salad bar will be closing in 5 minutes so if you want something, go get it". I understood, but it just came off rude. They did come over with the meat very quickly, like almost lining up at our table and thats when I checked to see what time they closed. They didnt technically rush us and they asked if we had any requests for meat before they closed. For this type of restaurant, you probably want to have more than 30 minutes and I wish they had mentioned it over the phone when we called. I only had cuts of meat and it was all pretty good, didn't really get a chance for the salad bar though. For my first time there, this was a terrible experience and I had high hopes for them.

Don't forget every table gets unlimited cheese bread, plantain, and another breadstick. We left super full, definitely check them out for the experience.

On the bus line, and near the locals "shopping center" we found this option by googling "buffets near me." We walked in to a woman sitting on her phone, we weren't greeted but she said "how many" as if she was annoyed, and continued to stay on her phone. My father stated "2" and she stood up, quoted the price of around $25 and tossed the table "reservation" sign at us (it mentions not to waste and to ask for help if needed) Now that we've been standing here for about two minutes, she still hasn't made eye contact with us. I chuckled in frustration and walked away, because I absolutely HATE terrible customer service. At this moment she looks up with slight concern on her face, because- excuse my French- she knew she had us f***** up. If it were up to me, we would have turned around and left but I was with my father and I bit my tongue. They didn't deserve our support. The way she carelessly tossed the sign across the less than 12 inch counter replays in my mind, and I think of a multitude of ways I could karate chop her in her throat (not really, but a girl can dream.. right?) We seated ourselves in the last booth near the restrooms, which was perfect because I was disgusted at the sight of the cashier. The young lady who cleaned our tables did a great job at smiling and being prompt. Kudos to her, she's the best. My dad and I had a really great time, trying new things and suggesting things to one another. The food was OK. I loved the clams and they have a good selection for anyone on a pescatarian diet, like myself. For the first time in a long time, I treated myself to a little desert to sweeten up the sour experience I had walking in. Ice cream with sprinkles will bring the kid out in you. If you read any of my reviews, very rarely do I have this disposition. I really want to make sure you understand how unkind our initial interaction was and how displeased I was that we stayed after being treated in such a manner. However, I can not deny that I was pleased with the menu, and finding some foods that cater to my diet. (Not many, but some) Would I go again? Maybe I'd give them another shot. I enjoyed spending time with my dad, the meatless options they had, and how the entire restaurant is self serve. 1 Star for location, 1 Star for food and 1 Star for the waitress who gathered our plates.
