Not sure about the bad reviews. The service is really, really nice. We have a family member who's "allergic" to MSG (they get the night sweats and headaches that are possibly placebo affect) and we called and the lady was so, so sweet. Literally so concerned with making sure our food was free of MSG. The food was pretty good. We got a variety of items. Nothing was out of this world but it was pretty typical takeout Chinese fair. Which, is good enough for me. I would definitely come back due to the service.

Food was so bad. Had to put so much so much soy sauce and salt to even try to eat it.

This soup was so bad with no flavor. Tried to put so much soy sauce and salt just to see if I can taste any flavor.

I recently was turned on to this place by a coworker. It's now our to-go place. I read some comments about the customer service, I have fortunately only experienced great customer service.

No flavor other than being extremely salty. I'm not sure if any seasoning other than salt was used.

Chunks of chicken in the VEGETABLE moo shu

I ordered from them off Door Dash last night and will never order from them again!! I ordered Vegetable Moo Shu and Shrimp Lo Mein. I received CHICKEN moo shu (this was for a vegetarian) and the Lo Mein had literally THREE shrimp in it and almost no vegetables. Just a container full of noodles for almost ten bucks. Thankfully Door Dash compensated me, but it wasn't their fault. The cooks at GWC need to be more vigilant and careful to get their orders right!!!

Shi mai on the dim sum menu

Twice tried, twice denied. Goodness, me. What a horrible set of experiences at this restaurant. First try: I sat with my menu for a good 20 minutes and didn't get any additional service. Not even a quick drive by. I even thought about walking into the next room to flag down my server but opted to just leave. Second try: Service was very attentive this time! But a couple of things left me feeling like the Great Wall is not worth a third try. First of all, I am very thrilled to see that the restaurant serves dim sum. I generally go to Gee's Garden, but wanted to give this place a try. Mistake. The dim sum cart sat motionless in the middle of the restaurant for I don't know how long. I didn't notice this until I placed my order, and my server brought the cart from behind a wall. I tried the siu mai, BBQ pork buns, har gau, shark fin and one other type of bun. My immediate impression? Most of the wrappers were beginning to dry out. And you know how wonderfully plush buns are meant to be? These looked to be slightly burnt on the bottoms, so much that the papers stuck to them and had browned. At the end of my meal, I had quite a bit of food left, some I decided to take with me and some I decided to leave behind. When the server caught wind of this, she asked why I was leaving food behind. I told her the items did not taste fresh and that they were stiff. Not only did she proceed to tell me, "No, no. They are fresh," but two other servers came by to affirm her statements. Wow! Three servers now when I couldn't get one on my first visit! Since they refused to believe me, I asked them to touch the food I was leaving behind. One did, and then she went quiet. Then one of the others told me -- no lie! not even exaggerating: "When you take it home, put it in the microwave with a few drops of water on it. Leave it in for a few seconds. It will become soft again." ...whaaa?! But I came to eat at your establishment! Not to take your food and microwave it at home! Wooooow. Folks, over the more than 10 years I have been enjoying dim sum I have had amazing, AMAZING dim sum in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle and elsewhere. I trust and believe I am a decent judge of what is fresh and what is sloppy. This was hands down one of the most outlandish experiences I have had at a restaurant. I won't be going back.

Fresh Spring Rolls... Morn made very well and the pork was so old and tasted very bad...

Food and service have been good. I would have liked for them to have an alcohol license even if it was just beer and wine.

Soup for the dac biet was a bit on the lighter side, but there were plenty of ingredients and lots of pho noodles. The shrimp spring rolls were HUGE, and it paired perfectly with the provide peanut sauce. Good service and good pricing considering the area. However the restaurant is a bit hidden in the corner of the plaza, but can also be accessed through the next door Asian supermarket (Lee Lee International Supermarket). My favorite Vietnamese food in Tucson in terms of the food itself…read more My favorites here: #16 Seasoned Julienned taro root with vermicelli noodles, pickled daikon and the typical vietnamese herbs etc and sweet soy sauce. It comes with fried tofu typically but they let you exchange the tofu with a couple of their delicious vietnamese crispy rice paper egg rolls that are stuffed with deliciously seasoned tofu (#14 on the menu) and that's my favorite way to order it. Mixing all of it together is heaven. This is by far my favorite here! I find that I generally really like taro- all parts of the plant! The root as served in this restaurant and in Thai desserts, the leaves in filipino laing and the stalk (elephant ear stalk) in vietnamese Canh Chua soup. #20 Fried rice noodles dish (ask for the crispy option!) . This one became quite expensive recently but when I had it in the past it was delicious. Definitely get the crispy version! #14: Those vietnamese crispy rice paper egg rolls that are stuffed with deliciously seasoned tofu are so good. They let you get them a la carte but the full plate comes with the sauce and herbs. I get them as part of #16 as described above so it has the sauce and herbs in that dish as well. I really love that they have a vegetarian and vegan menu and that they have the vegan sweet soy sauce available in place of fish sauce for that menu. The restaurant is attached to Lee Lee international supermarket which is an absolute must visit in my opinion for international food lovers and people who want to learn about world cuisines. It's a great place to find international ingredients that are not easily found elsewhere. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

You order at the register and can choose to sit anywhere. Our food came out quickly. We ordered the Guilin dried style and the other bowl with broth. The noodle bowl includes rice noodles. meat-based spiced sauce, spicy pickled greens & bamboo, pickled long beans, roasted peanuts, and you can choose between 2 proteins. For my two proteins, I chose crispy pork belly and pork intestine. I wish they gave a little more because it was so good. I personally loved the dry one because the noodles soaked well with the sauce. The sauce was sooo gooodddd. The noodles were perfectly cooked - had a good soft bounce to it. The guilin with broth was also so good. The broth was perfectly cooked chicken broth. The pickled greens were a nice touch to balance the flavors. I wish this place was closer to me because I literally would go every week. This is one of the best noodle bowls I had in such a long time. Next time when I am in Tucson, I am going to try their other menu items because everything looked so good. Very reasonable price and great portions. There were lots of tables inside. Wow. New favorite sandwich shop!…read more The Lemongrass Beef sub was incredible. The beef was tender and full of bright flavor, and the mix of fresh herbs, crunchy veggies, and a little jalapeño heat made every bite pop. My husband and I split the sandwich and we both loved it. I also ordered the Honeydew Milk Tea with egg custard and boba. The tea and custard were perfect and refreshing. The boba was still good, but the texture felt like it had been sitting for a bit. We visited about an hour before their 3pm closing time on Monday, and the other days of the week have later closing times, so that could be why. I enjoy Capriottis, Firehouse, and Baggins, but Banhdicted is on a whole different level. The drinks are wonderful too. Being right next to Lee Lees makes it an easy stop, and it is close to the Tesla supercharger which is great for grabbing food to go. Customer service was friendly. Service was fast. I got the BBQ Pork Banh Mi and my fiancee got the Lemongrass Beef Bahn Mi. Both sandwiches were fantastic: the bread is outstanding - soft yet a perfect crusty crunch - the meats were perfectly flavored and so tender, then wrap it up with the perfect flavor combinations of the fresh veggies & cilantro. The seat area is small & quaint, more of a takeout restaurant than a place you'd hang out. But if you choose to there are a few tables and it's a calm atmosphere. The staff was kind and got the food out ASAP. Overall I highly recommend and will be returning soon!
