Was in search of noodles with the gf for New Years and we found this on Yelp. We ended up ordering the low mein noodles. Nothing special but portion was decent. We have eaten here twice, and both times we were over stuffed, volume wise huge, during one of the visit I was going through the menu, and its written distinctly that they can prepare food without MSG and trans fat, when the waitress came, I asked her if she could have our food without MSG, her reply was everything has MSG even the soy sauce you eating has MSG, I replied to her I would have asked for MSG free soy sauce had it been on the menu, and she had nothing to reply so she left saying it will take 10-15 min for the dinner. Staff otherwise is friendly and accommodating since we asked her not to have beef and pork in any food items. read more

The food was very tasty and the service was good. the only negative thing is the womans room was extremly dirty. It was missing all needed items, and was missing the hook for the purse on the door. i should have waited and used the gas station down the street, it would have been cleaner. read more

Two words: crispy duck. If you like duck, you'll love this menu item! According to my wife, their wor wonton (wonton soup with seafood, other meat, & veggies) soup is the best. Prices & food amounts are good enough to warrant a couple of extra orders for lunch the next day. They just should have someone there who speaks English fully because sometimes the language barrier is kinda hard to order or understand things. With exception to the cute annoying girl with the tiny little voice and tons of makeup that sometimes makes things difficult on phone orders, this is a good place. Price is decent. Portions are plentiful. Taste and quality is generally good with a couple of exceptions. We have been here about 30 times now. A few bad plates with old rice and such, but most of the time, fresh food. This is one of our favorite Chinese places in the AV where options are limited to begin with. I will NEVER EVER return! I have gone several times and I have been disappointed. Yes it's cheap but it's not fresh! You can taste that they recycle their food! Especially in my last visit I was served rotten sweet and sour pork! Even the pineapple was spoiled! UGH! Love the food here. I have been going here since I was like 5 years old and now I'm 24. They have amazing food, I would recommend their shrimp fried rice and foil wrapped chicken my mouth is honestly watering as I'm writing this and those are just 2 of their amazing menu items. They have the best wonton soup and beef and broccoli why settle for panda express? You get soooo much more food for your money here and not to mention it will taste way better. Not to mention all the waiters and waitresses their are really nice. The receptionist there literally watched me grow as me and my family ate there. I have been going to Great Wall for years and I am usually very satisfied with the food. This last time... not so much. It was lacking flavor and when it came to the table the entrée was cold. Of course I sent it back. When the replacement came it was just as it has always been, hot and delicious. I think this is the better Chinese place in the local area. read more

It's ok. Not great but not bad. It is difficult to find a good Chinese restaurant in the Antelope Valley so of the ones here, this is one of the better ones. I usually get take out because although the restaurant is large and usually fairly quiet, it is too warm to sit and eat there. read more

Best Chinese place I've ever been to especially for the value. This place is cheaper than Panda Express ($5 lunch specials? yes please!)... yes.. you heard right... Not only is it cheaper, but it's a million times better since its a real restaurant and you get way more food. I like to get different lunch specials with the people I'm with then all share. Their wonton soup is amazing. You have to try it. With every meal you get free wonton strips with hot mustard and sweet and sour, free hot tea, and with lunch and dinner specials you get soup, wontons, egg rolls, and with dinner paper wrapped chicken. This place can be packed sometimes so I like to order it to go and take it home... only problem is that you don't get soup with your lunch combo if you do that :( (not sure why). The people are always nice, the service is good and fast, and the food is amazingly delicious. read more

Pretty decent food at decent prices if you get the lunch or early bird dinner. Four of us ate for under 50 bucks, including an additional appetizer. You get a good quantity for the price, and plenty of rice, too, plus the included appetizers makes for a well-rounded meal. Won ton soup is good but a tad salty for my taste, but the paper wrapped (sic) chicken is really good. We also had an order of potstickers, which seem to vary in quality depending on how well they're cooked. Atmosphere is quiet and cozy. You could certainly do worse at other establishments. read more

Negative stars? C'mon man...What a total disappointment and horrible experience, I had been to this place once before like 3 years ago however my wife wanted to give this place a shot. We walked in and were seated promptly and then it was ALL downhill from there. Waiter brought us our water and hot tea, I asked for a iced tea....wait for it...wait for it, ok so our waiter came back to place our order...wait for it, ok so we asked another person to bring me an ice tea. Then we waited 45 Minutes for our soup, Then our waiter brings us our appetizers...ribs were overcooked, paper wrapped chicken look like they just wrapped chunks of fat in foil, The won-tons...the one piece of shrimp wasn't bad, but hey at least the sizzling rice soup wasn't bad.My wife had noticed that the table behind us had gotten their much later than we had and had already been served their food. We asked for the manager asked for our food to go, and my wife had mentioned how quickly the other table had gotten their food, his response was they ordered a la carte...um WTF does that have to do with it? Highly disappointed. After coming to the Great Wall for so many years and enjoying good Chinese food and warm service I was highly disappointed at the quality of food and service that l received during my last few visits. First, I have consistently been provided with dirty napkins and silverware with dried food stuck to it. During my most recent visit I was served white rice with a rather long black hair crawling from my rice bowl to the edge of my plate. Disgusting! The fact that such a long and visible hair strand was overlooked and served to us was simply mind blowing. As for the food, I have also noticed a change for the worse over the past year or so. The egg drop soup, egg rolls, and kung pow chicken used to be my absolute favorite. Now, these dishes are simply blander, less filling, and more stuffed with filler ingredients than ever before. I've come back several times over the past year hoping that these changes were only momentary or single occurences but I have lost all hope. After encountering several distasteful and disgusting items in one visit (dirty napkins, dried food on silverware, hair in food) I spoke to a manager who not only seemed annoyed at being requested but also offered absolutely no compensation. It was only after I called him back that he offered a measly 10% discount. My entire party had lost their appetite and this is all that's offered? Never again. I do have to say kudos to the bus boy. He was more compassionate and helped us out a good deal more than the manager. The bus boy's response to our situation was the only part of our experience that kept my husband from causing a scene. Sadly, I have to say that the days of quality food and service at the Great Wall are gone. If you're looking for good Chinese food I definitely would recommend you look elsewhere. read more

Three stars because quite simply, this is the "fancy" Panda Express. The menu is pretty much the same as Panda, the service is generally a little slow, and the prices are higher. The food is good but not amazing. Don't expect a lot out of this, but if you want a casual dining expedience with a nicer atmosphere and don't mind American Chinese food, try it. I eat there probably once a year for most of my life and have never had any major issues with their food or service. read more

Personally, I love this place, I really do enjoy their food. My favorite will have to be the salt and pepper shrimp, IT'S SO GOOD! I used to really love this this place, but it has gone downhill. Ate their last night and I am sicker then a dog since midnight. So was the person I had dinner with last night. I will not be back. The rice was horrible, noting was good...It was a Sunday night and I felt like we were eating old food from the beginning of the week. Really used to enjoy this place once in awhile, but never again.
