    Beef With Broccoli

There's no lot so it's all street parking, usually doesn't get too packed in Silver Lake. Great Wall looks like a hole in the wall but it feels more spacious on the inside. The floor and tables were very clean, and the owner was very friendly. I didn't know there was a $15 credit card minimum and he cut me a break. I came here just wanting to fill my belly after a long day, I wasn't expecting to be impressed. The food here is very good, I got the beef with broccoli lunch special. The sauce was thick and flavorful; the beef and veggies were delicious. I am usually skeptical of quality control on new restaurants but this place delivered. The pork fried rice was seasoned and cooked properly. The wonton soup broth was a little too peppery for my taste, but the dumplings in the soup were good. For less than $10 I was impressed with what I was presented with. Delicious food for an affordable price is a rarity nowadays, definitely check out Great Wall if you're in Silver Lake.

Just an average place nothing to rave about. The sesame chicken was nothing like I ever had, I don't know what that was. The complementary black hair (I'm blonde) was a nice touch. I will not return. 2 stars for the effort.

Found this spot last minute, wanted to eat Chinese food nearby. Closes at a late hour, and accepts dine in. Food price is reasonable and serving size was great. This place was a small restaurant that had a couple tables for dine in which was perfect. This place has a great selection of food on their menu, and the food was served pretty fast. The beef low mein, spare ribs, and garlic broccoli was delicious. There was more than enough food for two. I ordered the shrimp sweet-and-sour which was a little different than my normal. It was basically deep-fried battered shrimp with a side of sweet-and-sour sauce. It was still delicious and fresh, but was not the dish I had in mind. The food that we ordered was amazing and delicious and would highly recommend. Overall this place is great!

General Tso's soggy, bland chicken. NO chili peppers, 2 broccoli florets.

I'm not sure how this restaurant has so many good reviews on another site. This has to be some of the worst Chinese takeout I've ever gotten. The General Tso's chicken was soggy, gummy and the sauce was not like any other restaurant. I had to look up my order receipt to see if I had ordered sesame or orange chicken by mistaken. There was no spice and there were no spicy chili peppers at all. The fried rice was also not good. Bland and nothing but onions and bean sprouts and barely any pork. The egg roll was much thinner than any I've gotten before also and was practically no filling at all - it was mostly soggy wonton wrapper wrapped around 3 layers at least. I'd say not even a teaspoon of filling. This is the most disappointing takeout I've gotten in a long while. I will not be back.

Great Wall Chinese take out is definitely the best around. Honestly, I didn't even know how much better it was than others until I moved out of town and started trying other Chinese restaurants. The owner and his wife opened this place probably about 15-20 years ago. Although the decor is original and out dated, the food is just as good as it was when they opened. Delivery can be a little long during dinner hours, so picking up is the way to go.

From the moment you arrive, the elegant décor and inviting atmosphere create a welcoming setting for a special meal. The food is fresh, flavorful, beautifully presented, and infused with authentic Chinese character. The soup dumplings, Peking Duck, and Sichuan dishes were particularly impressive, each showcasing distinctive flavors and thoughtful preparation. Warm, attentive, and professional service completed the experience. Whether you're enjoying a family dinner, celebrating a special occasion, or simply seeking an exceptional meal, O Mandarin is well worth a visit. A true gem--we'll definitely be back!

The…read morerestaurant itself has a great ambiance, a little dark (in a good way), and probably great at night. The service was excellent, with not only our waiter helping, but food runners and bussers assisting as well. And the food was delicious! The soup dumplings were delicious- I think I could just eat a big serving of those. My seafood hotpot was full of wonderful shrimp, scallops and much more, all very tasty. They said it would be "spicy", but it really wasn't very, so if you don't like extremely spicy food, you'll be ok (But maybe ask them for it to be a little spicer than normal if you do like very spicy food). I would recommend a visit ASAP! Don't wait for years like I did. I missed out!

The food wasn't bad--it was simply mediocre and underwhelming. The biggest issue was that several dishes were underseasoned and lacked the bold flavors I expect from a good Cantonese restaurant. The Yang Chow fried rice was especially bland and needed more seasoning. The har gow and several of the dim sum items also fell short of expectations. The steamed spare ribs and beef chow fun were okay but nothing memorable. The salt and pepper shrimp was probably the highlight of the meal, but it wasn't unique or better than what I've had at many other Chinese restaurants. Overall, the food was decent, but considering the restaurant's reputation, I expected much more. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't make a special trip back.

However, the rest of the broad and deep menu is excellent as well. The rich Sweet Corn Chicken Soup is sweet, thick (but not gummy) and quite tasty. The pan fried dumplings were outstanding. They were perfectly cooked and well stuffed with minced pork and veggies. The Honey Walnut Shrimp were amazing - plump and perfectly dressed. Finally, the Sesame Chicken was amazing. Perfectly cooked but the best thing is that the chicken was moist, rich and flavorful. So, if we're ever back in White Plains, you know where we'll be dining.
