    Bulgogi set meal...so salty
    Crystal S.

I'm not sure what kind of food this was supposed to be, but it's absolutely not authentic or even fast food Korean. Portion sizes were generous, but the salt level made the bulgogi inedible. (Koreans really don't put heart-attack levels of salt in their food.) I ordered delivery, and since I didn't want to throw it all out, I boiled it in a ton of plain water, and it ended up with a still almost salty broth. I kind of regret doing that because my lips are actually numb from all the salt regardless. And calling the very bland kimchi and sesame oil cabbage "banchan" is an insult to the amazing and simple but delicious banchan usually served at Korean restaurants. And what Asian restaurant messes up rice? It was both too mushy and too hard...ew. I have no problem with fast food versions of different cuisines, but I would have been better off throwing this food out. It's really a shame because I was initially very excited by their menu. Two stars instead of one since the fried rice cakes were delicious. I can only hope the rest of what I received was made by a last-minute substitute cook and not the usual fare.

It's been a while since we've had Korean BBQ. When we arrived at the restaurant, they hadn't opened, so we were one of the first customers to enter. Once seated at the table, our server took our drink orders and another lady came along to take our appetizer and side dishes orders aside from the banchan already on the table: an oder of potstickers, garlic bread and vegetable eggrolls to start; japchae and kimchi fried rice for our side items. After our server dripped off our drinks, we placed our meat orders: pork belly, thinly sliced brisket and pork steaks plus slices of pineapple, onions and king mushrooms. The appetizers and side items arrived at our table almost immediately, all fresh and pipping hot. The grilling meats and vegetables arrived soon after. It took almost no tine to cook the brisket, while the pork belly and pork steak took a little longer but was so tasty, it was worth the wait. After a while ordered a second round of pork belly and pork steak plus a seasoned steak. All the meats completed our side dishes so well, we didn't really need the appetizers. All the food was satisfyingly delicious and our servers were very nice and attentive;!we had a really pleasant meal.

Food was solid and satisfying overall. The meats came out fresh and grilled up nicely, with good flavor across the board. The portions were generous, and everything paired well with the sides. The spicy rice had a great kick and was one of the highlights of the meal. Service was attentive and consistent. Staff checked in regularly, made sure the grill was running smoothly, and kept everything moving without hovering. The pacing felt right, especially for a Korean BBQ spot where timing matters. Ambiance was modern and clean with a lively but comfortable vibe. The setup felt well organized, and the atmosphere made it easy to enjoy the meal without feeling cramped or rushed. Overall, a solid Korean BBQ experience with good food, reliable service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the mood for KBBQ.

Mixed experience overall. Two of my friends ordered the all-you-can-eat option, which looked good with a nice variety of meats. The rest of us weren't very hungry, so we ordered from the regular menu instead. For the regular menu, the meat was grilled in the kitchen rather than at the table, which is totally fine. However, it came out lukewarm, as if it had been sitting for a while. The spicy pork was extremely dry and not tasty at all. The miso stew was also served cold, which was surprising. The cold noodles were inexpensive, but very basic. I expected at least one piece of meat or a few more toppings, but it came with only noodles, a few apple and cucumber slices, and half a boiled egg. The noodles were clumped together when served and took some effort to separate. The all-you-can-eat option may be better, but the regular menu was not impressive.

Firstly I want to shout out our server Gavin. He is beyond exceptional and funny creating such an amazing time that will absolutely be remembered for years. Attentive and respectful but also made it feel like a personal experience. 11/10. The food was absolutely astounding and is always a reason to come back. The interior and overall look is great for dinner, dim but well lit in essential areas with modern decor.

I love going here but they overcharged us 80$. The first picture is inaccurate they changed the receipt after we left to reflect a 10% discount our total was 408 with their "mandatory tip". We went in with 5 adults a 10 year old and an infant and they charged us for 7 adults. When I went in to correct this an hour after dinner the fat manager tried telling me I'm a liar and arguing with me telling me we had 6 adults and a 13 year old. It's incredibly unprofessional and hilarious to tell me my kids age and refuse to check the cameras. It's not the first time this fat has been a problem I've gone to other locations and she's been there giving other people a hard time. Go anywhere else but this chain.

Came to Reno for some R and R and was craving for AYCE Korean and decided to choose this for dinner on a Saturday night. It's about a 12 min drive from the Silver Legacy where we stayed. Arrived at 630 pm and was immediately seated in the booth with the banchan already on the table and the condiments also (salt, sesame , soy sauce). Banchan had seasoned cucumber, kimchee, potato, broccoli with white dressing ...and a few others but didn't have my favorite- the sesame bean sprouts! The meats we tried. 1, LA Galbi (one order per person, one time) - marinated angus short rib! Definitely a MUST order, they gave four meaty ribs (2 per person) that once you cut with your scissors, was bountiful. Tasted great with the sesame dipping sauce! 5 stars 2. US Kobe Beef Belly- another MUST order , thinly slice beef that has fat that when cooked, is crispy and addicting and goes well with rice or lettuce. This and LA Galbi were our favs. 5 stars 3. Special pork belly- very thick pieces of meat. Was good but I would opt not to get full with this . 4 stars 4. Angus Prime Brisket- ordered this on our second round but wasn't as good as the Beef Belly. Not a lot of fat and didn't absorb the flavor from the sauces. This too I would likely avoid next time just because I was left to eat most of it since my wife didn't enjoy it as much. 4 stars Service - good. Our waitress would come often enough to refill our banchan and ask if we are ready to get more meats. We finished our meal with green tea ice cream (one serving only) 5 stars For $42.95 per person, drinks $3.50. I think we ate our values worth and would come back again when in Reno.

8 years later and I'm back andddd it's still a favorite for kbbq. Came in for dinner on a Thursday night around 7:30pm and surprisingly found the place packed but the wait wasn't bad (10 minutes). I'm not sure if the decor changed throughout the years because it didn't look the same to me. Anyway, the staffs were all friendly and the service was impeccable. Updated menu was great. I asked for gochujang (korean red pepper paste) and ssamjang (soybean dipping sauce) and they had both so I got to mixing. So good with pork belly!

Ijji 4 is a much bigger restaurant than it looks like from the outside. And, it's quite busy! Thankfully, there are plenty of parking spaces as it's located in a shopping center. They offer an all-you-can-eat Korean bbq option or you can order individual entrees. We opted to try their LA Galbi (Marinated short ribs with banchan and pot stickers) and Kobe Beef Bulgogi (marinated beef with banchan and pot stickers). While the banchan was good, nothing was outstanding. Both the short ribs and marinated beef were also good but the flavors were too mild for our preferences. Service was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our experience but I like the Ijji Noodle House and Poke Don location better.

IJJI Korean BBQ has been one of my go-to Korean BBQ spots since it first opened. The food is consistently good -- quality meats, solid flavors, and everything comes out fresh. While it may not top some of the Korean BBQ spots I've had in Sacramento (which is a high bar), it's still a reliable choice here in Reno. What really stands out is the customer service. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and makes you feel comfortable every time, which keeps me coming back. I've been dining here for a couple of years now, and that consistency matters. If you're looking for a dependable Korean BBQ spot with good food and a welcoming vibe, IJJI is worth checking out. -- Alfyn

I really enjoy eating here, the staff is kind and welcoming, the food is always fresh, and their all-you-can-eat options are genuinely worth it. They have a great variety, and everything I've tried so far has been good. The only downside for me is that they don't allow a single person to dine in for the all-you-can-eat option. I usually stop by on my own, and I'd honestly come here way more often if solo dining for AYCE was allowed. Other than that, this place is great and definitely worth visiting.

3/8/2025: Ijji 4's buffet restaurant is a typical Korean restaurant found throughout the Western half of United States. The buffet portions are on par as well as the service and seating accommodations; however, the seating arrangements were a little cramped and tight. Noted: The food was served fresh while the raw meat ready to cook were not laden with grisly fat rather than meat--comparison to the AWFUL BLUE HOUSE located in Sacramento CA (NEVER EVER EAT BUFFET AT BLUE HOUSE--PERIOD!) . . . The Japchae, Buyeok--seaweed soup, and the Banchan were all freshly made--nothing was stale or old. Aju Madshisoyyo! My First-Born Daughter suggested we eat buffet here and I'm elated we ate Hansik Bwipe here: WE SHALL RETURN! Kamsahamnida, Songsangnim!!!!!

Ask the Community - Ijji 4 Korean BBQ

Hello, how can I get a giftcard besides coming in the restaurant?

Can you make reservations or is it 1st come 1st serve?

You can make reservations for large groups. Not with small ones. I tried for 3 and they said no.

    Is this AYCE?

    Yes

Do they accommodate for gluten and dairy allergies?

    Yes

What's the max on how many people can sit at one table?

I'd say 4 comfortably in a booth but I saw they had tables in the back for bigger groups. Call and ask!

Why keep the 10% off for 1 person buffet on the Yelp check-in when it's no longer valid?

They don't even do all you can eat for one person anymore. The other day I got turned away because I was alone and they told me for party of one I can only do à la carte.

Hi, do I need a reservation for 2 for Sunday at noon?

Nope. So long as your group isn't over 6 your fine!

    Is pet allowed inside?

    Of course NOT

    Are they reducing the capacity?

Yes, I believe so. Here is a text message that they sent me: Ijji Reno: We're BACK! Come join us for…

    Do they serve rice paper?

    Yes, we do.

Is this place baby in a high chair friendly?? She's a good baby and obviously keep her out of reach of the grill. But other than that do people bring babies here?

    Yes

Is this place open on December 24 and 25?

Yes, we are open from 11 am to 10 pm on both days. Reservations are recommended. (775) 507-4554‬

    Open for Thanksgiving night?

Yes they are open and on their regular operating hours.

Is this the best Korean BBQ in town?

I would definitely say yes, with Siu Korean BBQ coming in a close second

It was a beautiful evening and we enjoyed the outside patio dining with our dog. They took our order quickly and the burgers came out pretty quick as well, within 30 min or so. We ordered the Imperial Japanese Chicken Wings, the Frenchified Burger, and an order of poutine. The star of the meal was the chicken wings with the wasabi ranch dipping sauce. The seasoned shoestring fries served alongside were also excellent. The burger was very good, but it was essentially meat, sauce, and cheese. I like a little freshness on my burgers, so I was missing some lettuce and tomato. Fortunately, I substituted a salad for the fries and ended up piling most of it onto the burger. Next time, I'll just ask for those toppings to be added. The poutine, however, didn't quite live up to the versions I've had elsewhere. I'm not sure if they used white cheddar curds, but they were almost completely melted instead of retaining that signature squeaky texture. The gravy was just okay, and I don't think shoestring fries are the best choice for poutine since they don't hold up as well under the toppings. Overall, I'd definitely come back--especially for the wings and another burger.

Well, it was finally time to give them a try!…read more Highly recommended by a good friend I decided to give this book to try. And boy was I glad I did oh boy! So I got to the establishment in the parking lot was empty. It was lunchtime what? Walking in there was only three young ladies sitting at a table in the middle of the restaurant, and the entire restaurant was empty. I looked at a couple of the menus. They have three different menus one for wings one for fries, and one for pizza! I decided I was definitely going for the wings. I have the 20 piece of wings and ask them how many flavors you could get with 20 pieces they said four flavors. So, after looking at the array of flavors that they had, I went with the buffalo sweet-and-sour, the Parmesan, and the bacon rub. The staff was just too young man, and they were handling things very properly. They took my order got me my drink cup, and I went and sat down. While sitting, I continue to look at all the yummy flavors and the great framing you! And boy, all the pizzas looks exciting! The smell of the wings cooking was incredible and it was well worth the way. All the sudden here came my order. The presentation of the chicken wings on the tray was super awesome! They were all laid out nicely, and they were all seasoned very well. I had to blue cheese is in the side of ranch just so I could try a little bit of everything. Time to dig in. The very first one I tried was definitely the buffalo 5* and wow it was packed full of flavors. The buffalo is on the extra crispy wing, which is in a batter! I usually don't like those type of wings. I just like them traditional, but man this was really good and their buffalo flavor was really yummy! I was very glad it was the one I started with. I didn't get into an extra crunchy sweet-and-sour 5*. Wow that definitely had a ton of flavor. It really popped well! I didn't dip in any sauces just to make sure that I could get a taste of the wing first all of the wings were cooked so perfectly not over cooked, but definitely not undercooked! OK now onto that Parmesan 4.5* wing wow these were super flavored man. They had great flavor to them. They were season very well and presented well also on that tray! Then came the bacon rub 3*. I'm not too sure about the bacon Rob. I don't know that I didn't like it but I don't know that I did. I definitely have to give it a second try! The restaurant was definitely very clean and very well-kept up. I can't wait to get in here and definitely try more flavors and next try their pizza and all their fry menu looks super yummy! I'm telling you right now if you don't get in there and try this place and support this place you're gonna lose them and you'll definitely be sorry that you did!

The neon sign said "open" so I went in. Deja Vu of Long John Silvers. Hee Hee. I was greeted by a really nice young gentleman. I asked about the wings and was surprised to learn you could order them with a flour coating or without. I love this! I prefer my wings crispy fried without coating. In my opion, the only way chicken wings should be served! Being my first time in obviously, and seeing many menus on the counter, I simply asked for his hottest sauce. He went over the hot options, and from his wonderful descriptions of the sauce flavors, I almost chose the mango habenaro, but then he said if you are looking for HOT, try the Reaper and I did. No offense, but the Reaper is not hot. I do have to say that my husband would have had a different opinion on that, and probably would not have been able to eat the reaper wings. For me, if my mouth isn't burning and my nose isn't running, it's not hot. Could this be contributing to my ulcer? While I waited for my freshly prepared order, I checked out the menus, and decided I will have to come back and try other sauces and menu items. My order was carefully packed and he included an adequate cup of ranch for 8 wings and a cup of ketchup for my fries. Bravo!

Service was friendly no complaints there Overall food was not very flavorful.. too many flavor combinations trying to be fancy and for the prices of each dish I would not recommend this place. I saw it was on the yelp top 100 at one point..so I had wanted to check it out.. but it was very disappointing. A glass bottle of very warm water with the 2 smallest glasses with ice was brought to the table first. Ice is nice especially when its 100 degrees outside. But the glass was like a shot glass and with the water being so warm by the time we ordered our food all of the ice was melted which made that 1st glass of water cold which was a couple of gulp but then you're left with warm water. Food presentation was very beautiful. Taste of food wasn't anything you'd come back for. We ordered the mushroom raviolis.i expected a white sauce as it said creme sauce but it was a red sauce. It came with crispy potatoes which were very thinly sliced and fried potatoes and a citrus salad which was arugula and a very tasty dressing. There was maybe 5 raviolis not great..the red sauce is all you can taste some loose mushrooms around the raviolis in the sauce. The fried potatoes great in presentation ok in taste but I wish there was more potato in each bite. The arugula and dressing were the best thing I ate out of 4 dishes I tried. We also had the potato taquitos which I was looking forward to but it was very dense and the potato tasted like how a bad potato smells. Other than that it was very very bland. Nice crisp on the taquito. The gnocchi pasta dish was also no flavor. The sausage in it was good. 2nd favorite item was the slice of bread toasted on both sides. The bread was almost as big as the food on the plate. The 4th dish was the potstickers which also were just ok.
