So been wanting to try this place for a while. Was greeted immediately as we walked in. We were a group of 4 and we were sat right away. The place was clean and no cleaning smell of any sorts as stated in some recent reviews. Also water was tasted fine too. Grills were very clean Rueben was our Server and he was excellent. We ordered All the meats . Spicy pork , Bulgogi , Hawaiian steak, Maple seasoned pork, Kobe beef , pot stickers , short ribs , spring rolls . Everything we had was great . Sides were good too. You're not just ordering food you're gathered around the grill, cooking, sharing, and immediately debating what meat needs to come out next. The selection is solid, the portions keep coming, and there's something dangerously satisfying about pulling perfectly cooked meat straight off the grill. Add in all the sides, sauces, and different combinations, and it's very easy to lose track of just how much you've eaten. The atmosphere is lively and casual, which works perfectly for Korean BBQ. My boyfriend and I had first eaten here a few months ago for dinner and the experience was way better than a week ago when we had revisited with family in town. The first visit, service was warm and timely. Food was great. The second time we had gone, a few instances made our visit a bit uncomfortable due to the service and food quality. When we first arrived, the grill had white bubbles upon being fired up. The server grabbed us another when we asked but her tone while informing us it was normal was passive aggressive, almost as if our request was weird and inconvenient. She would come up later to critique our grilling because our gas went out a few times but I think the one we were sat at wasn't working well as this had not happened before here or any other kbbq spot we've visited. After this, it seemed like we were a burden. We asked for a plate to place cooked meat away from the raw ones and it seemed like the supervisor for the night came up to us for this. She asked why we would need one and then snapped that they couldn't due to something like they were already portioned. We were there 4 hours before closing, there didn't seem to be any wait up front, and yet 1.5 hours in and the server became more insistent on checking on us (they only came up twice prior to this after we flagged them down). On top of this, the food quality since the last time had declined just as much. The rice cakes weren't cooked fully and cold, the cheese for the corn cheese rubbery, and ice cream freezer burnt. For the price of $40 (where we do the cooking mind you), you would expect better efficient service and food. We will not be visiting again. read more

I'm not sure what kind of food this was supposed to be, but it's absolutely not authentic or even fast food Korean. Portion sizes were generous, but the salt level made the bulgogi inedible. (Koreans really don't put heart-attack levels of salt in their food.) I ordered delivery, and since I didn't want to throw it all out, I boiled it in a ton of plain water, and it ended up with a still almost salty broth. I kind of regret doing that because my lips are actually numb from all the salt regardless. And calling the very bland kimchi and sesame oil cabbage "banchan" is an insult to the amazing and simple but delicious banchan usually served at Korean restaurants. And what Asian restaurant messes up rice? It was both too mushy and too hard...ew. I have no problem with fast food versions of different cuisines, but I would have been better off throwing this food out. It's really a shame because I was initially very excited by their menu. It's been a while since we've had Korean BBQ. When we arrived at the restaurant, they hadn't opened, so we were one of the first customers to enter. Once seated at the table, our server took our drink orders and another lady came along to take our appetizer and side dishes orders aside from the banchan already on the table: an oder of potstickers, garlic bread and vegetable eggrolls to start; japchae and kimchi fried rice for our side items. After our server dripped off our drinks, we placed our meat orders: pork belly, thinly sliced brisket and pork steaks plus slices of pineapple, onions and king mushrooms. The appetizers and side items arrived at our table almost immediately, all fresh and pipping hot. The grilling meats and vegetables arrived soon after. It took almost no tine to cook the brisket, while the pork belly and pork steak took a little longer but was so tasty, it was worth the wait. After a while ordered a second round of pork belly and pork steak plus a seasoned steak. All the meats completed our side dishes so well, we didn't really need the appetizers. All the food was satisfyingly delicious and our servers were very nice and attentive;!we had a really pleasant meal. read more

Mixed experience overall. Two of my friends ordered the all-you-can-eat option, which looked good with a nice variety of meats. The rest of us weren't very hungry, so we ordered from the regular menu instead. For the regular menu, the meat was grilled in the kitchen rather than at the table, which is totally fine. However, it came out lukewarm, as if it had been sitting for a while. The spicy pork was extremely dry and not tasty at all. The miso stew was also served cold, which was surprising. The cold noodles were inexpensive, but very basic. I expected at least one piece of meat or a few more toppings, but it came with only noodles, a few apple and cucumber slices, and half a boiled egg. I love going here but they overcharged us 80$. The first picture is inaccurate they changed the receipt after we left to reflect a 10% discount our total was 408 with their "mandatory tip". We went in with 5 adults a 10 year old and an infant and they charged us for 7 adults. When I went in to correct this an hour after dinner the fat manager tried telling me I'm a liar and arguing with me telling me we had 6 adults and a 13 year old. It's incredibly unprofessional and hilarious to tell me my kids age and refuse to check the cameras. Came to Reno for some R and R and was craving for AYCE Korean and decided to choose this for dinner on a Saturday night. It's about a 12 min drive from the Silver Legacy where we stayed. Arrived at 630 pm and was immediately seated in the booth with the banchan already on the table and the condiments also (salt, sesame , soy sauce). Banchan had seasoned cucumber, kimchee, potato, broccoli with white dressing ...and a few others but didn't have my favorite- the sesame bean sprouts! The meats we tried. 1, LA Galbi (one order per person, one time) - marinated angus short rib! Definitely a MUST order, they gave four meaty ribs (2 per person) that once you cut with your scissors, was bountiful. Tasted great with the sesame dipping sauce! 5 stars 2. US Kobe Beef Belly- another MUST order , thinly slice beef that has fat that when cooked, is crispy and addicting and goes well with rice or lettuce. This and LA Galbi were our favs. 5 stars 3. Special pork belly- very thick pieces of meat. Was good but I would opt not to get full with this . 4 stars 4. Angus Prime Brisket- ordered this on our second round but wasn't as good as the Beef Belly. Not a lot of fat and didn't absorb the flavor from the sauces. This too I would likely avoid next time just because I was left to eat most of it since my wife didn't enjoy it as much. 4 stars Service - good. Our waitress would come often enough to refill our banchan and ask if we are ready to get more meats. We finished our meal with green tea ice cream (one serving only) 5 stars For $42.95 per person, drinks $3.50. I think we ate our values worth and would come back again when in Reno. read more

This place I don't visit nearly often enough! I love dining experiences, and this is certainly one of them. It's even more fun with them share it with friends who have never done it as the case on a recent visit. What makes this Korean barbecue spot extra exciting is the speed of service and very large selection of offerings at span from veggies to protein, side, dishes, and more. Pro tips I have are definitely order the chili scallion salad, extra ssamjang, extra radish slices, and extra lettuce so you're ready to make delicious wraps with all the wonderful meats you'll be grilling. Other pro tips include getting the pork belly on the grill first so it can get nice and crispy. It takes a minute to get going, but watch it from there and enjoy when it's done to your liking! Oh and don't sleep on the unmarinated meats! The kobe beef belly and the brisket are both wonderful, especially wrapped up in lettuce or radish with a little banchan! OH OH OH! The pork steak! Considering they are only one of 2 decent korean BBQ restaurants in town it is good enough when you're looking for food but their prices seem to keep creeping up in the past few years. Understandibly due to inflation that is expected but instead of taking things away like the kalbi short rib from 2 to 1 person they should have kept it the same. Quality of the marinade has also gone down noticeably, but still decent enough to visit every now and then when we have the k BBQ crave in the area. The ambiance is pretty typical of these places in town, very simple and clean. 8 years later and I'm back andddd it's still a favorite for kbbq. Came in for dinner on a Thursday night around 7:30pm and surprisingly found the place packed but the wait wasn't bad (10 minutes). I'm not sure if the decor changed throughout the years because it didn't look the same to me. Anyway, the staffs were all friendly and the service was impeccable. Updated menu was great. Ijji 4 is a much bigger restaurant than it looks like from the outside. And, it's quite busy! Thankfully, there are plenty of parking spaces as it's located in a shopping center. They offer an all-you-can-eat Korean bbq option or you can order individual entrees. We opted to try their LA Galbi (Marinated short ribs with banchan and pot stickers) and Kobe Beef Bulgogi (marinated beef with banchan and pot stickers). While the banchan was good, nothing was outstanding. Both the short ribs and marinated beef were also good but the flavors were too mild for our preferences. Service was attentive and friendly. I had a very disappointing experience at this Korean BBQ restaurant, especially as a regular customer. We come here almost every month, so this was really upsetting. During our last visit, one of the sauces served to us had dry rice in it and was clearly not cleaned properly. We politely brought it to the server's attention, and she apologized and replaced it. However, when we spoke to the manager to address the issue, the situation escalated unnecessarily. Instead of acknowledging the concern, the server denied it, and the manager raised her voice at us, insisting that everything was new and clean. I made it clear that we were not asking for a discount or free food we were willing to pay in full. We simply wanted the issue to be addressed properly. Unfortunately, it felt like they assumed we were trying to get something for free, which was not the case at all. To make matters worse, another server overheard us speaking in our own language and confronted us in a very disrespectful way, saying she didn't appreciate us talking about her coworker. That was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. We were having a private conversation, and she had no right to speak to us that way. Customer service here has seriously declined. As loyal customers, we expected better handling of concerns and more professionalism from the staff. Sadly, this experience has made us decide not to return. read more

Once you've enjoyed the food and service here and that bar gets set so high, you hope nothing changes your mind about it. Our last visit for my step-daughter's birthday was phenomenal. The service was fantastic, our waitress was attentive to our needs, the staff friendly as always. We stayed for an hour or so and the atmosphere was lively, very busy that day but, it was cool because they played some great early 2000s R&B and HipHop which helped pass the time between conversation and servings. The proteins and vegetables served were fresh as always and the traditional dessert ice cream, delightful. Haven't been yet? Go! My first time doing Korean BBQ! $35 for AYCE which includes appetizers, meats, sides, and desserts. We came on a Thursday night and were seated with no wait. The servers came by frequently to take our orders, refill our drinks, and change out the grill plate. We never had to ask for anything because they were stopping by so often which was great! The wait for food to be brought out was not long, it never felt like we were just sitting around waiting for the next round. I was impressed with the quality of the service for a dining experience that relies on frequent ordering and delivery of various items. We had two large bottles of Soju to share amongst our group, we did the Green Apple and then the Pineapple. Green Apple was better in my opinion but they both went well with our food. I really liked both soups I tried, the Korean Miso Soup and the Kimchi Stew! The miso was my favorite but I did enjoy the spice of the kimchi one. The pot stickers were another favorite app, they were perfectly fried. We tried almost all the different meats and I enjoyed sampling the variety of tastes and cuts of meat. I liked the seasoned pork belly best! The Cajun shrimp were a bit tough to peel but I really liked those as well. We didn't have many vegetables but the onions and mushrooms were the ones I ate the most of. Everyone got green tea dessert but I had strawberry, it was a great way to end the meal. We ended up being here for 2.5 hours! Time flies when you are busy ordering, grilling, and chatting in an atmosphere like this. It's fun having something to do like this while out for dinner, it makes it more of an experience than just sitting around talking. The total came out to about $50 per person which wasn't bad at all considering the amount of food and alcohol we got! My friend said he has paid $75/person for AYCE Korean BBQ in bigger cities before and he thought this experience was even better than that!
