Food was solid and satisfying overall. The meats came out fresh and grilled up nicely, with good flavor across the board. The portions were generous, and everything paired well with the sides. The spicy rice had a great kick and was one of the highlights of the meal. Service was attentive and consistent. Staff checked in regularly, made sure the grill was running smoothly, and kept everything moving without hovering. The pacing felt right, especially for a Korean BBQ spot where timing matters. Ambiance was modern and clean with a lively but comfortable vibe. The setup felt well organized, and the atmosphere made it easy to enjoy the meal without feeling cramped or rushed. Overall, a solid Korean BBQ experience with good food, reliable service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the mood for KBBQ.

Firstly I want to shout out our server Gavin. He is beyond exceptional and funny creating such an amazing time that will absolutely be remembered for years. Attentive and respectful but also made it feel like a personal experience. 11/10. The food was absolutely astounding and is always a reason to come back. The interior and overall look is great for dinner, dim but well lit in essential areas with modern decor.

It's been a while since we've eaten Korean BBQ; so, since we were in the neighborhood, we dropped by. The restaurant was just opening for lunch service so our 3-person party was able to get a table right away. All the servers, especially the young lady who took care of us in the beginning, were really hospitable and attentive. The banchan (side dishes) were all so good; I especially loved the radish and japchae. We thoroughly enjoyed their pork belly. The vegetables and appetizers were delicious as well. Overall, we had a good dining experience.

Came to Reno for some R and R and was craving for AYCE Korean and decided to choose this for dinner on a Saturday night. It's about a 12 min drive from the Silver Legacy where we stayed. Arrived at 630 pm and was immediately seated in the booth with the banchan already on the table and the condiments also (salt, sesame , soy sauce). Banchan had seasoned cucumber, kimchee, potato, broccoli with white dressing ...and a few others but didn't have my favorite- the sesame bean sprouts! The meats we tried. 1, LA Galbi (one order per person, one time) - marinated angus short rib! Definitely a MUST order, they gave four meaty ribs (2 per person) that once you cut with your scissors, was bountiful. Tasted great with the sesame dipping sauce! 5 stars 2. US Kobe Beef Belly- another MUST order , thinly slice beef that has fat that when cooked, is crispy and addicting and goes well with rice or lettuce. This and LA Galbi were our favs. 5 stars 3. Special pork belly- very thick pieces of meat. Was good but I would opt not to get full with this . 4 stars 4. Angus Prime Brisket- ordered this on our second round but wasn't as good as the Beef Belly. Not a lot of fat and didn't absorb the flavor from the sauces. This too I would likely avoid next time just because I was left to eat most of it since my wife didn't enjoy it as much. 4 stars Service - good. Our waitress would come often enough to refill our banchan and ask if we are ready to get more meats. We finished our meal with green tea ice cream (one serving only) 5 stars For $42.95 per person, drinks $3.50. I think we ate our values worth and would come back again when in Reno.

8 years later and I'm back andddd it's still a favorite for kbbq. Came in for dinner on a Thursday night around 7:30pm and surprisingly found the place packed but the wait wasn't bad (10 minutes). I'm not sure if the decor changed throughout the years because it didn't look the same to me. Anyway, the staffs were all friendly and the service was impeccable. Updated menu was great. I asked for gochujang (korean red pepper paste) and ssamjang (soybean dipping sauce) and they had both so I got to mixing. So good with pork belly!

Ijji 4 is a much bigger restaurant than it looks like from the outside. And, it's quite busy! Thankfully, there are plenty of parking spaces as it's located in a shopping center. They offer an all-you-can-eat Korean bbq option or you can order individual entrees. We opted to try their LA Galbi (Marinated short ribs with banchan and pot stickers) and Kobe Beef Bulgogi (marinated beef with banchan and pot stickers). While the banchan was good, nothing was outstanding. Both the short ribs and marinated beef were also good but the flavors were too mild for our preferences. Service was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our experience but I like the Ijji Noodle House and Poke Don location better.

3/8/2025: Ijji 4's buffet restaurant is a typical Korean restaurant found throughout the Western half of United States. The buffet portions are on par as well as the service and seating accommodations; however, the seating arrangements were a little cramped and tight. Noted: The food was served fresh while the raw meat ready to cook were not laden with grisly fat rather than meat--comparison to the AWFUL BLUE HOUSE located in Sacramento CA (NEVER EVER EAT BUFFET AT BLUE HOUSE--PERIOD!) . . . The Japchae, Buyeok--seaweed soup, and the Banchan were all freshly made--nothing was stale or old. Aju Madshisoyyo! My First-Born Daughter suggested we eat buffet here and I'm elated we ate Hansik Bwipe here: WE SHALL RETURN! Kamsahamnida, Songsangnim!!!!!

I really enjoy eating here, the staff is kind and welcoming, the food is always fresh, and their all-you-can-eat options are genuinely worth it. They have a great variety, and everything I've tried so far has been good. The only downside for me is that they don't allow a single person to dine in for the all-you-can-eat option. I usually stop by on my own, and I'd honestly come here way more often if solo dining for AYCE was allowed. Other than that, this place is great and definitely worth visiting.

This place is a gem!! Fresh veggies, great cuts of meat, nice roomy booth or table to cook it all. The service was good, no complaints. They swapped out the grill pan a couple times, which was nice. Two things that could've been better for this visit: when we ordered soda/sparkling water, it would've. Even nice to know it was a significant up charge. Second, the lettuce came out very wet-like straight up dripping wet! While I appreciate freshly washed veggies, an extra step of drying them a bit from kitchen staff would make the experience much better. All in all, we left full and satisfied.

Ijji 4 Korean Bar-B-Que - Fancy Vibes, Pricey BBQ Ijji 4 offers AYCE Korean BBQ in Reno, but the price has noticeably increased over the past few years--from $35.95 to $42.95 per person at night. While it's definitely on the higher end, the restaurant does provide a more upscale dining environment, with stylish décor and even a fancy bar area stocked with wine options. One thing to note: AYCE requires at least two diners, so as a solo guest, I had to sit at the bar and order from the à la carte menu. I went with the Stone Pot Bibimbap, a mix of vegetables, beef bulgogi, and an over-easy egg served over rice in a sizzling hot stone bowl. While the crispy scorched rice from the pot was a nice touch, I found that even after mixing everything together, the flavors of the veggies, beef, and rice still felt somewhat separate. The sauce provided was on the salty side, leaving me reaching for water throughout the meal. The complimentary appetizers were a highlight, and to finish, they serve a free ice cream dessert. I tried the green tea flavor--delicious, but the scoop was small and left me wanting more. Overall, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is perfect for groups looking for a fancier K-BBQ night out. For solo diners, the experience is more limited. --- Final Thoughts Ijji 4 is a solid spot for group dining and Korean BBQ cravings if you don't mind paying a premium. Great vibes, good service, and nice touches like dessert ice cream--but the rising prices and strict AYCE rules may leave some guests thinking twice. ---

Hello, how can I get a giftcard besides coming in the restaurant?

Can you make reservations or is it 1st come 1st serve?

You can make reservations for large groups. Not with small ones. I tried for 3 and they said no.

    Is this AYCE?

    Yes

Do they accommodate for gluten and dairy allergies?

    Yes

What's the max on how many people can sit at one table?

I'd say 4 comfortably in a booth but I saw they had tables in the back for bigger groups. Call and ask!

Why keep the 10% off for 1 person buffet on the Yelp check-in when it's no longer valid?

They don't even do all you can eat for one person anymore. The other day I got turned away because I was alone and they told me for party of one I can only do à la carte.

Hi, do I need a reservation for 2 for Sunday at noon?

Nope. So long as your group isn't over 6 your fine!

    Is pet allowed inside?

    Of course NOT

    Are they reducing the capacity?

Yes, I believe so. Here is a text message that they sent me: Ijji Reno: We're BACK! Come join us for… Read more

    Do they serve rice paper?

    Yes, we do.

Is this place baby in a high chair friendly?? She's a good baby and obviously keep her out of reach of the grill. But other than that do people bring babies here?

    Yes

Is this place open on December 24 and 25?

Yes, we are open from 11 am to 10 pm on both days. Reservations are recommended. (775) 507-4554‬

    Open for Thanksgiving night?

Yes they are open and on their regular operating hours.

Is this the best Korean BBQ in town?

I would definitely say yes, with Siu Korean BBQ coming in a close second

As someone who occasionally likes to eat alone, I really appreciate that. I've visited several times over the years, including recently under the newer ownership. Unfortunately, some of my old favorites aren't quite the same. I used to love their deep-fried oysters, which are no longer on the menu and have been replaced with deep-fried mussels. The kimchi stew recipe also seems to have changed and wasn't as memorable as before. That said, they still serve my favorite gopchang (beef small intestine). When cooked properly, it gets wonderfully crispy and reminds me of Mexican tripas tacos--definitely worth ordering. I'd personally skip the bibimbap appetizer. The rice was hard, the ground beef was cold, and it felt like it relied too heavily on the gochujang sauce for flavor. Even with those changes, I'll continue supporting this business. Service was also attentive.

We went on a Thursday night, and the restaurant was probably about 45% full, so it was busy but not overwhelming. When I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly worker. I let her know I was meeting friends, and she allowed me to go find them and take a seat. The restaurant itself was nice, clean, and had a comfortable atmosphere. Our server was also very nice and brought us menus while we waited for the rest of our group to arrive. Once everyone got there, we started with a few appetizers. We ordered the fried dumplings, popcorn chicken, and I got the kimchi soup. The soup was delicious, and the dumplings and popcorn chicken were both really good too. Honestly, I could have ordered multiple rounds of those alone, but we were there for Korean BBQ and did not want to fill up too much on starters. For our first round of meats, we ordered beef belly, bulgogi, spicy chicken, and garlic pork belly. The food came out quickly, and it arrived on a robot, which was pretty cool. All of the meats were great, but the garlic pork belly and bulgogi were definitely the standouts. For our next round, we ordered those two again along with Hawaiian steak and chicken galbi. Once again, everything was tasty. We finished our final round with more beef belly, New York steak, and miso pork belly. By the end of the meal, we were completely stuffed. To my surprise, our server noticed that one of my friends had brought me a birthday gift bag, and the staff came over and sang happy birthday to me. That was a really nice touch and made the night feel even more special. Overall, this was a good experience. The food was fresh and flavorful, the service was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the birthday surprise was appreciated. I would definitely come back.
