Keeping it in prospective, maintaining a buffet price lower than most places now charge for a sandwich or a burger is an admirable trait that seems to be well received by the lunch crowd here. I really didn't expect 5 star food at less than a 3 star price. This is a tough place to review. As a fan of Kitchen Nightmares, I wish Gordon would come through and freshen up the place, menu, and bring a vibrance to this once great place. The problem is that if they did all of this, there would go the charm and affordability of $14 all you can eat buffet, and I am not sure we need another $35 lunch buffet in town... (Atlantis) The lunch crowd seemed to be workers from the surrounding industrial and office complexes. The selection was a good array of Chinese staples, sushi, fresh fruits, and desserts. The sushi was good and fresh, but not great. The cooked food was also edible but not great. The fruit, deserts and service were great. My only thoughts would be to scale back 25% of the food choices and focus on doing the other 75% really well.

A funky Chinese Buffet with a Mongolian Grill ! This place is a classic and probably has never been remodeled since opening. It's actually pretty sizable and stays pretty busy through lunchtime. I'll be honest I had never heard of it or knew where it was located, it's tucked alone in a business area. Quite unexpected driving up. A friend took me here and had been coming here for years. I can say I was a little apprehensive, but I actually enjoyed it and really liked about 85% of what I chose. The Wonton Soup was a favorite as well as the Mongolian grill side had 3 choices of meat and vegetables, plus noodles and sauces to spice it up . I chose a small portion of ingredients and the Chef cooked up my selection and it was brought to the table after completed. It was fairly tasty and I will trust putting together a larger bowl next visit. The Buffet side had such items as Beef Broccoli, Chow Fun, Spring rolls, Baos, Fried rice, Chicken Wings etc. All was relatively fresh and satisfying. They also had a section of Sushi rolls that were just O.K. Dessert items, Almond cookies, pudding, cream puffs , jello and some fruit. Plus ice cream. My least favorite item was probably a potsticker , but overall enough choices to fill me up for $15. My friend and I enjoyed the experience and the service was very good too. I recommend if your tastes run toward Buffet dining ,which I enjoy on occasion because I love tasting different things instead of one single entree. I left with a full and satisfied tummy!

I had a business meeting here in this sort of industrial business park off Mill street. The organizer took all of us attendees out to a late lunch as we sort of ran overtime. Maybe you might call it an early dinner, but whatever, this Chinese buffet sure beats the heck out of Subway sandwiches and canned soda! Been there done that! The organizer just has to pay by the person and everybody gets what they want and the price is pretty cheap for a dinner that you don't have to do any work or setup for, just go and eat! It is an odd location for a restaurant in the middle of the business park. The buffet table is pretty small, so it's more mom and pop compered to a big city Chinese buffet. They offer Mongolian flat top stir fry, Dim Sum, soups, noodles and even spare ribs along with sushi rolls and cookies and ice cream for dessert. The food was right up there with some of the better Chinese buffet foods. The Chicken Wings were the best buffet wings I ever had! I don't do the Mongolian BBQ thing. The noodles were good as sit down food. Beef Chow fun, and Cantonese stir fried egg noodles were there with glazed shrimp you could add to the noodles. The sushi was prety much standard buffet sushi, Calif rolls with different sauces and toppings. Service was super fast, those dirty dishes were cleared as soon as we finished. and drinks were refilled fast too. Although small, Wong's Genghis Grill gets the job done with tasty food and easy access if you work near here. It was filling with more customers as we left. Having the meals paid for was easy too!

Good lunch buffet for a great price! The best part was the mongolian buffet (included with the buffet) where the chef grills fresh ingredients for you with any sauce you would like. The rest of the food is in the same league of quality as Panda Express, but a bit better. They have a small selection, however the mongolian grill totally makes up for it. Also the desserts are pretty good, with the Sesame cookie and tapioca pudding being our favorite ($13.99 per person on a monday).

A hidden gem, located in an industrial location off of Mills Street. I have been coming here for years and I'm glad they're still open. Great Chinese buffet for $11.99 per person. Everything from sushi to Mongolian hot grill where you choose your meats and veggies along with your sauces and have it made to order. They offer limited desserts with self serve ice cream. I will say that's my favorite! They close at 2:30 p.m. during the week and they get fairly busy during the lunch rush. They have extended hours from 11a.m. -8 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays and are closed Sundays.

Planned my day around eating here and they are closed till Jan 22, 2024. See picture of the sign on the door. I'll put it on my calendar and call to verify next time.

We revisited The Wok Chinese Cuisine because we had wonderful experience in their food before. However, this time, we specifically ordered Sichuan style Chinese food because my wife love some spicy. We ordered two spicy and one non-spicy cuisine. Once again, this restaurant satisfy us completely. Whether the food is spicy or not, they all taste sooooo delicious and go very well with rice. We finished the rice we ordered and the owner gave us rice refill for free. We loved that. The portions were generous with plenty of leftovers to pack up in takeout boxes for enjoying for another day. My favorite three were the ahi tuna, the black cod and the brilliant asian/french mash up of red Bean Creme Brulee. I also need to mention, I loved the lamb tenderloin. I am not a big lamb fan, but this New Zealand lamb was tender and non-gamey. The owners did an outstanding job of timing the dishes and engaging with our group while also taking care of other diners including non event patrons getting getting take-out and inhouse menu dining. The space is very small, but even with and almost full house, it didn't feel cramped. Even though Kwok's is right across the street from where I live, this restaurant would be at the top of my list of "I would drive out of my way to eat here"

To start, you can't go wrong with the enthusiastic welcome we always receive. Then quickly seated and wine poured. The 2026 CNY menu was fabulous, with some great surprises. The ahi tartare portion anywhere else would have been a shareable appetizer. But each person was served a large portion of delicious fresh ahi. Mmmm this course and a glass of wine could be dinner alone any other evening. The soft creamy rich egg custard was hidden under a thick seafood gravy. I really enjoyed this unique dish. The miso black cod is always flaky and delicious. And the crab fried rice it's nestled on also never disappoints. The rich New Zealand stir fried lamb and shiitake mushrooms over pea shoots was a fabulous hearty dish on this chilly March evening. The braised short ribs were so tender no knife was needed, they flaked apart with the fork. And the e mein noodles were perfectly al dente. The dinner wrapped up with a crème brûlée that only Kwok's could pull off - red bean. Creamy smooth. Not overwhelming. The perfect burnt sugar layer on top. The regular menu is just as delicious. Small inside seating area, so recommend always make a reservation. In the summer there's a fabulous patio area out front. Limited street parking.

In case you're not aware, though the name of this restaurant references a specific city in northern China and the menu has dishes from across the country, their specialty is the spicy and numbing cuisine of the Sichuan region. If you've never had this before, when you see dishes listed as spicy, they may be very different from what you're thinking. It's certainly can be a polarizing experience, with many loving this flavor and many not into it at all, but the broad menu makes this a great call for everyone. Now I love dining with others who are familiar because it lets you explore the menu through their eyes and enjoy selections made by others with taste diverse from yours. My friend picked several dishes I would've never noticed or ordered blindly this time, and I'm so happy about that. We enjoyed the cold Woodear or black fungus in chili oil, classic snow pea tips with garlic, as well as the quintessential Sichuan cumin lamb, but the other three dishes we had were 100% new to me. Those included Sichuan snails (unshelled in an oily spicy stir fry), scallops with garlic and vermicelli, and crispy spicy intestines. The snails were a win. These are small and somewhat chewy morsels that get wok fried with fried chili, chili oil, peppers and onions. The texture is similar to sautéed calamari, but a bit firmer, and the sauce coats everything with that signature numbing heat. The scallops were the big miss. This dish typically comes in the half shell with fresh scallops, but here they're using a lower quality scallop (likely frozen) and a lot of pre-minced garlic (like you'd find in a jar). It looks impressive but the scallops had absolutely not flavor and the texture was rubbery too. Skip this one for sure. The intestines were the surprise. I've had fried intestines and they crunch like a chip and have no distinct flavor that lets you know what you're eating. These were sliced on the bias and wok tossed until super crispy on the outside with a delicately chewy interior. The sauce really amplified the flavor and this all made for a great bite within the whole meal. All in all, this is a home run. If you haven't been, I urge you to check it out, as it's one of the best authentic Chinese restaurants around.

We decided to make it our next date night spot. We went on a Friday around 5:30 and it wasn't very crowded yet. They asked if we preferred a table or a booth, and we went with a booth near the front. The restaurant itself is really nice, but I'll say the booth felt a little tight. Next time, we'll probably go with a table for a bit more space. The service was top notch. The staff was incredibly attentive, and our drinks were constantly refilled. Our glasses were never empty, which always stands out. About 15 minutes after we sat down, the place filled up fast. It seemed like most people coming in had reservations, so I'd definitely recommend making one if you're planning to go after 6 pm. We decided on the Shanghai Dinner. I ordered the sweet and sour pork, and my wife got the sweet and sour chicken. I was tempted by the cashew chicken and kung pao chicken, but we'll save those for next time. The appetizers were amazing. The meal comes with spring rolls, crab rangoon, paper wrapped chicken, and honey glazed BBQ spareribs. Everything was delicious. My wife loved the paper wrapped chicken, and for me, the ribs were the standout. They were tender with just the right hint of sweetness. Honestly, I could've eaten a full plate of just those and been happy. For sides, I had the egg flower soup, which was really flavorful, and my wife had the salad. She could not stop talking about how good the dressing was. Both the sweet and sour pork and chicken were great. The sauce had that perfect tangy, slightly sweet flavor. That said, next time we probably won't order the same sauce for both dishes. I think pairing something like sweet and sour with kung pao would give a better balance with a little heat to cut through the sweetness. Overall, this place is a winner. Great food, solid portions, and the price is very reasonable at about $33 per person for the Shanghai Dinner. My wife enjoyed everything so much that after seeing another table order the duck, she's already talking about coming back to try it. I've been trying to get her to try duck for a while, so I'm looking forward to that next visit. We'll definitely be back.
