We came in around 1:15 on a Wednesday, excited to try this spot after reading all the great Yelp reviews and seeing the 100 sanitation score. The place was clean, which was nice, but it was surprisingly loud for how not-busy it was. We ordered the steak and cheese pita, the beef burger, and a salad. The salad was fresh but super watery, which made it a bit disappointing. The steak and cheese pita didn't really have much flavor and kind of fell apart as we ate it. It also had a runny sauce that wasn't tzatziki, and we weren't quite sure what it was supposed to be. The burger was okay, but the patty was that perfectly round, pressed kind of meat that felt a little too mass-produced. Honestly, the burger would've been better without the meat. The sweet tea had an odd aftertaste we couldn't quite figure out. We ended up eating most of the food (except the salad, which we boxed up), but overall it just wasn't what we were hoping for. We eat at a lot of Greek restaurants--some run by Greek friends--so this didn't really feel authentic to us. Nice people, clean spot, but probably not a place we'd come back to.

    Hummus, tzatziki, "Greek salad"

DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ITEMS BEFORE LEAVING. I'm honestly pretty furious with my experience here. After driving 20 minutes each way to pick up my order, I got home only to find an item completely missing. When I called to sort it out, the manager not only refused to acknowledge the mistake but flat-out insisted the missing item was in the bag, implying that I was wrong or lying. It absolutely was not there. This kind of dismissive and unprofessional attitude is completely unacceptable. As far as the food. A Greek salad with ONE olive, one single slice of cucumber and a single slice of tomato is not a Greek salad. It's honestly laughable. The tzatziki , hummus, bulgar pilaf and rice were decent. But the meat? Very tough. Didn't seem fresh. The stuffed grape leaves. Definitely not made in house. The gyro meat I cannot speak of because it was missing. Maybe they were doing me a favor. NEVER AGAIN. Poor food. Poor management.

My parents and I came here for dinner on a Sunday evening. Our server was friendly and accommodating and the food came out relatively fast. We each ordered the Kouzina platter, which came with a meat skewer, Greek salad, grape leaves, hummus, pita, and cucumber dressing. The chicken was fine, not the best I've had, and it difficult to get it off the skewer. The salad and grape leaves were also just fine, nothing spectacular in my opinion. However, the hummus and pita were amazing and for sure the best part of the meal. The pita bread was super pillowy soft and the hummus tasted authentic, flavorful, and delicious. I would come back for the hummus and pita alone!

My Boo and I visited this location for lunch. I've seen this location for years but never stopped to check it out. I'm glad that we decided to visit this spot. I ordered the Rice Platter Single Skewer. The order came with a side of rice, one pita, tabouli, tzatziki sauce and one grilled chicken skewer. It was my first time trying tabouli. I was very pleased with my lunch choice. The location was smaller than I expected, however the restaurant was clean and organized. The staff was very friendly and checked on us multiple times during our visit.

Enjoyed a gyro today from Greek Kouzina. I love a tasty gyro. The pita was fresh as well as all the ingredients. The gyro was filled nicely with meat, sauce and lettuce and tomato. The place was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.

On our way to Charlotte on a work trip and decided to stop for a quick bite before hitting the road and glad that we did! Plenty of parking, small space but still feels spacious enough. The menu is straightforward, you have your sandwiches and your platters! I'm a sandwiches gal and opted for the Chicken Shwarma Pita Combo and it was so satisfying. There was a good amount of chicken, veggies, and sauce, very well balanced and filling. I should've asked for some extra hot sauce or something because I felt like it was missing - that would've just taken the dish to a whole another level! All good though, this gives greek fast food vibes which I love and I'm here for. Where are these in Texas!?

    Chicken gyro and FF!

I stopped for lunch one day this week and the place was virtually empty. I think that is because it's so new! But I ordered a chicken gyro with FF and it was delicious!! Very clean and fast friendly service! I will be back!

    The fries, excellent

Always a great meal. My problem, I forget to take the pictures sooner. After I start devouring the meal because it is so good. Next time I try to do better.

Stopped here to grab a bit of lunch with some friends. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We took a moment to look over the menu and decided the double kabob Rice plate the the meal for me! I got two chicken kabobs, tzatziki sauce, French fries, pita, and some rice. You get a decent amount of food for the price! My only negative was that the kabobs, while perfectly cooked in some spots, was overcooked and rubbery in other spots. The tzatziki was amazing! Thinly shredded cucumber in the sauce is my favorite was to prepare it and that's just what they did here. Don't forget the baklava you can order while dining here as well! I didn't grab any but I definitely regret that I didn't! If you're looking for some Greek food while in Pittsboro, this might be the stop for you!

Staff came to us immediately for our drink and appetizer order then allowed us the requested time to view the menu. The ambiance and feel of the place is incredible! We ordered the Greek mimosa and the spartan Bloody Mary along with the avgolemeno soup to start. Then the Pasticho and mousaka .Being Greek we are very particular about our Greek food. The Greek mimosa was excellent, the flavors aren't anything like a regular mimosa it is a whole new experience, if you like a red or rose wine try it! The bloody mark has a bit of a bite but it too has a great flavor I would not order if you don't like spicy or can't have salt. The avgolemano was delicious just the right amount of lemon too simple and elegant just lemon egg chicken rice and broth with light seasoning. The Pasticho was excellent! They even bought the right noodles ! About as close to my yaiyas as a restaurant can get! The mousaka was also delicious. Many times you get it the eggplant is either greasy or hard. This was perfect and not highly seasoned. I recommend giving this restaurant try parking is definitely a lot easier than Tara and the food is excellent and the ambience is fabulous!

The…read moreatmosphere tends to be the draw-- it's decorated well, there are some fun foods (flaming cheese?!), and there tends to be a Greek dance train on weekend evenings. I went with a group of 6 adults this past week and realized that the atmosphere no longer outweighs the other nits for us. The restaurant was maybe 80% full, but our servers couldn't find the time to check on us. We had a bottle of wine served, and maybe 15 minutes later needed more wine. We finally got our server's attention and we got more wine. Once our entrees came out, our server and wine guy never came back to our table. We even told them we would like more wine but they never came back with it. We would've bought 4-5 bottles of wine that evening had someone come back to check on us. Instead, we just sipped our waters until we were ready to leave. The food was honestly mediocre all around. The lamb was overcooked and inedible, the eggplant dish was over salted, etc. We liked our dips platter, but it came with a tiny bowl of pita and like three pieces of celery for $24, so most of the dips went uneaten. If someone had asked if we needed more pita or vegetables we would have said yes, even if we had to pay for it. But nobody did. I could go into more details (mansplaining and some belittling all around), but it's not really important. We realized there are restaurants in Chapel Hill that we'd rather visit in the future. I hope Kipo's is able to make some changes because we really love it. But in the meantime we're going to give it a break.

Service is very friendly, and as quick as possible, considering that stuff seems to be made to order. I ordered a chicken kebab platter which comes over a bed of basmati rice, possibly with saffron. Whatever the rice tasted great and it wasn't dry like at a lot of places. The chicken was marinated in a tangy yogurt-spice mix, grilled and topped with a tahini sauce. Delicious! As sides I got mujadara and roasted vegetables which were also tasty. I'll be back for takeout for sure in the future.

"Bodega-like Mediterranean Grill & Grocery in Parkwood area of Durham"…read more This place is WAY off the beaten path for most, but I'm so happy to have gotten to try it out. Nestled in a little strip between a Muslim school and a mosque is this grill and grocery. We came on a Wednesday evening, and almost every table was already taken by diners. You order your food at a counter, and it has the Middle Eastern foods you'd expect-- kofta, shawarma, gyros, falafel, baba ghanouj, hummus, baklava, etc. I opted for the lamb gyro sandwich with a side of baba ghanouj, and my dining partner had the falafel sandwich. They call your number when it's ready. Food took maybe 10 minutes to receive, so we browsed the market area. It's not a huge selection, but very traditional-- nice seeing so many labels in Arabic, and along with standards (e.g., canned fava beans for Ful Medames), they also had things like frozen chopped mulukhiyah leaves-- that's definitely a rarer sight. Lots of good spices too. The food was EXCELLENT. The lamb was juicy and perfect (unlike what another Yelp review said), the tzatziki sauce was delicious, and the baba ghanouj was perfectly cooked and textured. I had a small bite of the falafel, and it was indeed one of the best I've had in the US. Price was fair, too-- the sandwiches are all under $10 before tax and tip, and making it a combo with side and drink cost just something like $2.50. And service was friendly-- although they called out numbers, they did walk out with the food to try to find and bring you your dishes. And while it was an older space, it was overall still generally clean. Overall, I'd VERY happily come back.
