The people who work here are super sweet and helpful and really listen to special order instructions :) Everything I've eaten here has been phenomenal but some all-stars are: the hummus, spicy feta dip, zucchini fritters, feta fries and the rice pudding. Like I said, everything is delicious and it's all well priced - the platters are 1000% worth your money because it's two meals worth of food and heats up to be just as delicious as the night before. Ehhh- I have to say... I ordered a large Greek salad w chicken, 2 small skewers came with it . Almost no difference from the large - small portion and it was a few dollars more. Lentil soup was greasy. In total I got chicken Souvlaki w potatoes (best part was the potatoes), 2 soups, 1 fries and 1 Greek salad w chicken = 76$!!! I'd 110% rather go to a local family owned spot like It's Greek to Me in syo or Yiasou Yeeros in plainview and it still would've been cheaper. read more

Not pandemic ready... but still love the food. Ordered from Greek Xpress today and went to pick up the food. A man, who seemed to be the manager, had his nose completely out from his mask the whole time I was in the location. He was back and forth between the food prep area and the register... spreading his breathing everywhere. He was not the only one... so did the man who was folding take out boxes... fully exposed nose, directly breathing in very close proximity to every single take out box he was folding while sitting at a table. On the positive side, when I paid cash at the register, the girl handed me change... and they had hand sanitizer on the counter. Either comply or stay closed... don't put customers and fellow employees at risk. NOT OK. I've been to 20 restaurants since the stay at home lifted and Greek Xpress was the first with this concerning mask violation. If this is happening in front of customers, what violations are happening behind the scenes? Lunch was still delicious... hope I don't get sick... if I do, I'll know who to blame. read more

Can I leave Zero Stars? Just had the $13.95 Falafel Pita Lunch. Specifically asked not to have the rice pilaf in the pita, didn't accommodate that request. The falafel was cold and tasted like it was sitting around for hours, no flavor. The Tzatziki sauce had a sour taste like they put Feta in it (I'm pretty sure Feta is not an ingredient in Tzatziki). I had a bite of my husbands Gyro (beef/lamb) it was a better than the falafel. $13.95 is a rip-off for this sandwich. It comes with a side of tasteless rice pilaf (which I had to pick out of my sandwich. Won't be going back. This was the Plainview location. I don't know why I waited so long to try this place, but I finally grabbed lunch at Greek Xpress today. For $11, I got a pork souvlaki pita sandwich with a side of rice pilaf. Both were great, and the pork itself was sensational. The portion of rice was huge, so no worries about whether or not this lunch special will fill you up. Fast food and not at its best. We had the falafel, and we got 3 pre-made falafel patties in a dry piece of flat bread with one thin slice of tomato and onions. I asked for tahini which is a staple for falafel and they said they do not serve "that". I asked for hot sauce and it was diluted. Unfortunately I got sick from Greek Xpress tonight. My husband and I ordered wings, a falafel platter, which he ate and a gyro platter, which I ate. We both had the lemon chicken rice soup and lemon potatoes. Only thing I ate that he didn't was the gyro meat. We had the three dip combo and a couple pork pita sandwiches. all three dips were great, the spicy feta was perfect, the tzatziki not too garlicky and great texture and the hummus was amazing as well even though im not a fan of hummus. The pork was the softest, tastiest souvlaki I've had in New York. The service was amazing and fast, prices were very reasonable for the quality of food you get. Too many good Greek restaurants on Long Island to settle for this. My fault for not reading the menu, but I knew what I wanted: a Greek salad with chicken, to go. I assumed there would be a stuffed grape leaf or some kalamata olives, but I was wrong. I have since looked at the menu and it does say it should have olives, but there were none. It was lettuce, onion, tomato, slimy cucumber, feta and chicken. With the exception of the cucumber, it did seem fresh. The chicken was tasty and I liked the feta. It came with a pita on the side that was inedible - so thin and chewy, it actually hurt my jaw. When I placed my order she told me it was a lunch special. It came to a little over $12, so I assumed it would be a decent sized salad. I was wrong. It came with a nice dressing on the side (good) and I asked for a side of tzatziki. The Uber eats menu was incorrect and stated that the item I had chosen came with sides. When I called I spoke to this very rude young man who then hung up on me when I asked where was the rest of the food. When I called back and spoke to a woman she told me he said I was cursing at him and there was no supervisor available. I was at work when I made the phone call and it was recorded. I never cursed. Take out ordering allows you to set your pick up time and they have been pretty good in meeting the time YOU request. I had the gyro platter with lemon potatoes. One of the best beef gyros I've ever tasted with a tasty authentic tzatiziki sauce. The lemon potatoes were cooked perfectly, crisp on the outside soft on the inside. The staff greeted me on my way in and was very attentive.
