I love this place! Food: Portions are large and everything tastes very good. My only complaint is that at times some of the items are overcooked. Dont ask me how I want my meat prepared, if it NEVER comes out cooked correctly. Sometimes medium is medium well, other times it's well. I overlook this, as I get the combos and just move on to the next item. Last time in the chicken was just superb. I mean probably the best cooked chicken kabob I have ever had and I have probably eaten over several thousand by now in my old age. The apps are very good as well and the entire family loves the BABA here. I wish they had better bread, a fluffier pita or laffa would be a better option than the paper thin pita here. Service: Its not a full service restaurant, but they do drop off your food at the table and clean up afterwards. Soda is self serve, as well as utensils and napkins. Almost like a running theme, my daughter didnt get her food, when the rest was dropped off. She ended up waiting about an additional 5-7 minutes. This only happened once here, but about the third time for her over the past few months overall(Other places). Our last visit here on a Sunday, they were also slammed. Not sure if it was the volume of carry out or catering orders. The dining room was about as full as it's usually in the evening, but we were told the wait will be about 40 min for the food at time of order. I was a bit iffy at first but the food is absolutely amazing, I always get the beef shawarma, it's amazing. The only complaint i've ever had was the rice tasting like essentially oils, it the strong taste was overpowering and i couldn't finish it but that was only one time. Every other time the rice has been fine. The Gyro was also very delicious. Staff is friendly. I ate inside once, the only thing i would change is the booth seating. I have a friend of mine from the Middle East who turned me on to this place. He raved about it. So of course I had to give it a try. It's a clean establishment in a newer strip mall. I ended up ordering a chicken Shwarma plate and a bottled drink. When the cashier rang me up, it was for a little over $24.00 w/tip. Then the cook/owner informed me they only serve lamb shanks on the weekend. I told him I ordered a chicken Shwarma plate. He noted the error and logged into the cash register and reversed the charges and rang me up again for a little over $14.00 w/tip. I asked if he reversed the charges and he replied yes. I expected whole shaved chicken from the spit. But what I got were bits and pieces that were over chopped into tid bits. The chicken was dry and the tid bits made it drier. Everything else (hummus, rice, and salad) on the plate were excellent. I don't know what my friend orders while dining here, but I bet it's not their chicken Shwarma plates. If it is, I won't be trusting his recommendations any longer. It's been a day and a half and I just checked my bank account. I still have not been reimbursed my $24.00. I'll inquire about it tomorrow. I only received a partial refund about a week later and went to the restaurant to inform them. Was put into this place by a family friend. When I first went there, I ate in the store it was so good. I got the gyro I believe and it really held up alongside the fries which were so very good. The food did not disappoint. A month later I orders takeout and got the falafel plate which was packed with goodness such a a small salad, four falafel rounds, hummus, rice and bread. Pro-tip: Everytime I've ordered take-out, they always give a slice of baklava for free, but I don't always get one when I dine-in, so maybe order take-out! I always prefer to call in my order over the phone because they are more accommodating with swapping sauces like tzatziki instead of the garlic sauce whereas you have to pay extra on ordering apps. Highlights: This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants and I'd recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. The food tastes amazing, very reasonable prices and portions. I've had almost all the protein options and it's all delicious, but my favorites are the grilled chicken thighs and chicken kebabs and I usually order a plate but the sandwiches are great too! Typically, we ordered a large Greek salad and either the house special Green Corner plate, which has basmati rice, hummus, one falafel, a small side salad and three skewers of meat (chicken, beef & lamb), or the gyro plate. Either plate comes with one pita bread. But today, we ordered the lamb kafta plate. The lamb skewer was cooked to order (medium rare). While its flavor was acceptable, the texture of the ground lamb was not. I would prefer that it had some meat fibers left. Slightly confused, as the outside and main dining setup looks more like a large chain restaurant but the food being delicious and unpretentious. Large portions, homemade lavish bread, and delicious chicken kebobs. The lady who helped us order was very sweet and patient with all our questions and substitutions. I would highly recommend getting a plate or combo since they come with 2 kebobs, pita, hummus, salad, and rice. You can substitute baba ganoush for hummus, salad for rice, cucumbers for pita, or even upgrade the pita for $1 to get a heaping amount of tabouli. Great prices for these plates and delicious throughout. It ends up being cheaper than doing 2 individual orders of kebobs ($5.99/chicken kebob) and a side salad. We even got free baklava! Who can complain about that?! My only recommendation is to review the garlic sauce recipe. Compared to others, it is lacking that deep, rich garlic flavor and the texture seems a little off.
