Wow, Lindsey, wow.! Her craftsmanship with dessert demands to be front and center stage. She was simply chopping the baklava for serving sizes and portions but the attention to details and the precision was outstanding. I love the food here the food is made with love the staff are treated with respect And every encounter is a blessing. Today my excitement got the best of me Lindsey noticed that I was really adamant about getting dessert. Not only did she gift me an amazingly crafted slice of perfection. Healthy Food options along with other Mediterranean favorites. The portions are generous and the food is fresh and is very appetizing. I recently visited the Mesa location and it was very busy. There's plenty of seating and the place is clean. I suggest calling ahead or placing an order on-line as I waited almost 40 minutes for takeout. One of the employees behind the counter appeared a bit annoyed the 2nd time I asked about my order. I'll most likely go back though. read more

The food here is great, however, I had a poor experience interacting with the owner. I was trying to enjoy a meal with a friend and our kids, when the owner began to stare to the point where it made us uncomfortable. He then interrupted our outing to tell us I was hurting my baby by wearing him in a carrier. My baby was perfectly fine and comfortable and even fell asleep! It's a shame, the food and ambiance are otherwise great. Really wish I could've enjoyed my dining experience without unsolicited parenting advice. read more

First, don't go here if in a hurry. EDIT:. We went back the next day, and the service was much faster. Must have been a busy time. That's said, the food is really good, the portions are huge, and the service is very friendly. We were in town for soccer tournament, and almost skipped this place, the name sounds like a salad restaurant. Looking at the menu since it was close, we decided to give it a try. Being told we could expect to wait 25 minutes for most menu items was also a turn off, but still we wanted this kind of food and didn't want to go anywhere else. Turns out it was worth the wait. Green corner is such a hidden gem. The service is always so fast and the employees are very friendly. Their Greek food is some of my favorite in the valley. Their portion sizes are very large so I usually eat half and take the other half to work the next day. The food keeps very well and I'm always happy for leftovers! Green corner caters and does takeout. If you stay at the restaurant and it's nice out the patio is a great space to eat! read more

The store sign is kind of hard to spot and unassuming but the food is great! Around $9-14 per plate with huge portions. Definitely enough to share between 2 or have another meal with leftovers. The mixed shawarma plate had nicely seasoned meat and everything was good. Make sure to save room for free baklava (with walnuts). They go around and offer it to you (no need to ask). I wanted a quick bite while in town for work and did not want to drive far. This place is located in a strip mall and could easily be missed. Really friendly service, fresh and tasty food - I had the gyro sandwich. They even gave everyone a baklava on the house - which was delicious by the way. I tried Green Corner for the first time two years ago and it was some of the best shawarma I've had. I'll say, two years later and this place still doesn't disappoint, it's sad that we don't have Mediterranean food at this quality level in the south; but any one in the Mesa, Arizona area should give this place a go. read more

Great Mediterranean food! We stopped by here while visiting AZ and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful, the prices were extremely reasonable and the food was fantastic and plentiful! I got the mix shawarma plate and both meats were very good. I think next time I'd go for the gyros plate because I was going between those two options as they both sounded great. I couldn't believe how much food they gave us and then also gave us a complimentary piece of baklava as well which was very nice of them. I'd definitely come back. I love the Gyro plates and the Greek salads here at Green Corner. Salad is really moist with lots of vegetables, meat and good seasonings. I got the beef Gyro with lots of stuffing and cheese in which it was delicious with dipping sauce. Great staff and food. We will be back on our second trip. read more

Mine and my husband's favorite food in Arizona! We make the 30 minute drive here regularly, and it is the first place we take family members visiting the state. My favorite is the mixed shwarma plate. Every component is delicious. My husband substitutes the salad for baba ghanouj, which is also excellent. The Greek fries are to die for. We always have leftovers - it's a very generous amount of food for the price! The complimentary bakalava is so yummy. I can't recommend Green Corner enough! read more

If you are unsure about whether you want to drop by Green Corner, let me tell you now that the answer is always yes! This place is such a hidden gem and I regret not finding it sooner. I came to grab dinner with a friend here around 5:30 pm on a Friday night -- and good thing that we did because we managed to escape the line that formed once we sat down! You place your order at the counter then pick a table and sit down with a number + wait for your food. We went with the Greek fries to share, the beef shawarma plate for my omnivorous friend, and the vegetarian plate for me. The Greek fries were super super good -- topped with parmesan, feta, and a lemon sauce that was incredibly addictive. The shawarma came with a side salad, hummus, and some pita and the vegetarian plate had hummus, baba ghanoush, dolma, tabbouleh, and falafel with a side of pita. So first thing you need to know about the food, it's absolutely delicious. And now the second very important thing to note is that the portions are insane. Like literally you can split your plates into 2 meals and a snack sort of insane. We obviously didn't know when we ordered but, hey we just ended up with some delicious leftovers. Service is so friendly and they even gave us some baklava on the house so I wholeheartedly give this place a 5/5. Found this place based off of the raving reviews. Ordered the tarna combo which I found the meat to be dry. Portions were large and I shared my plate with my plate. They give you a baklava as well! All of the sides were good! It is a order and seat yourself place. They bring the food to you. I would try again with a different protein next time. read more

Absolutely delicious. Will definitely return when I'm working in Mesa. Had the mixed shawarma plate and OMG it was heaven in my mouth. The salad and rice were on point and so was the seasoning of the proteins not to mention the tahini sauce, chef's kiss! The two reasons this review was not five stars is one, the pita bread was not fresh (seems grocery bought) and because I paid for extra baklava and it was not in my bag and I didn't check until I arrived home. Today, 9/8/21 was an amazing meal. I've eaten here for years, always fantastic. But someone or something changed and the food was even better today than it has ever been. Whoever has been managing the kitchen at the Southern and Alma School location should make note that the staff crushed it today and should keep doing whatever they have been doing. The rice had a darker color to it and was even better than usual. The meat was shaped a little thicker than I'm used to and came out even more juicy than usual. Even the Baklava was a bit thicker and the nuts were more toasted than usual, resulted in a much more savory flavor and the sweetness was well balanced. Greek fries were the same (the same being extremely delicious still). I don't know how to contact the owner so I am doing this instead. Keep it up GC! read more

This is easily the best shawarma I've had in Arizona. There's closer places for shawarma to us but we always try to get it here if we can. It's packed with flavor, the bread is great, and the chicken is juicy and tender. Also, the beef and lamb shawarma is fantastic. Do yourself a favor and try their entire menu.
