My husband and I have been waiting for the opportunity to go eat here and we finally did this past saturday. We had our dog with us so we sat on the patio, which had a really nice aesthetic and set up, really cozy and intimate. Our server was superintentive to us to get our drinks and food out very quickly. I was actually really surprised by the time our server walked away someone else brought our appetizer, very impressive service! They also have a small doggy menu which is really great if you have your pup with you. We ordered the lamb skewers and steak and Fritz to share. Everything is really tasty. And of course our pup loved his food too. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.

Had ourselves a double date over beat the clock mimosas on Saturday morning - it was a blast! We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed multiple rounds of mimosas for a great deal -- can't go wrong with 4 - 6 dollar drinks! We each had different entrees ranging from a hearty biscuits and gravy to a breakfast BLT, veggie quiche and tomato soup. We loved our server who was attentive and patient as we took our time to decide what to order then as we continued enjoying our drinks. Definitely recommend this spot for brunch just as much as for a good HH or dinner!

Came here to watch the World Cup. I ordered a strawberry lemonade with a shot of vodka - the bartender elevated it for me and made it so delicious I couldn't detect the alcohol. It was apparent that there were only 3 servers (who were doubling as bartenders) serving the whole restaurant but they were doing such an amazing job still being really attentive and quick. There was a great vibe inside due to the games but the natural lighting and opulent decor create a very cute setting. My boyfriend and I were shocked at how crispy and fresh the tater tots were. We loved the wasabi based dipping sauce that came with them. Only thing we didn't love were the fake plants inside (there were a lot) - would've loved live plants but we understand that maintenance can be demanding.

It has been really warm, and I thought about eating at the beach. Called up Daveed and told him to meet me at Raglan since he lives close by. I love the four corners of Niagra and Bacon! Our first visit here was great. This time we sat a low table right near the corner, which I really like cause there's a fence around it and Cako can walk around and not bother anyone. A small child did keep coming over to say hi. I ordered the New Zealand meat pie made with beef and lamb. It was served warm which I liked cause I could just dive in! Next time I'll ask if I could get the matchstick fries instead. I also ordered calamari! So good! Daveed ordered the same thing he had last time, steak and chips. Said it was just like the first time. Consistency is the key! They also have a doggie menu. Cako ordered the chicken and rice with peas and carrots. She just woofed it down...LOL! The service is always friendly and upbeat! This is also a great place to watch people! Looking forward to my next visit! Cako still approves!

What a nice restaurant to enjoy a really lovely dinner at in Ocean Beach! Walking up with my daughter and my doodle , we asked if there was room on their patio and there was a lovely table with umbrella on the corner. It had turf underneath all tables along the street side and was shaded well for both hoomans and dog! The server quickly wiped the table and was friendly in asking about drinks , while we immersed in the menu - much inspired by New Zealand. She was great the entire time we were there. She came by just enough to check in to get the "nodding yes with our our heads as mouths full " affirmation she needed that all was well. So- I had the Blazin' Ahi and it was absolutely delicious! The ahi , a fave of mine anyway but with the seared with panko covering it and the wasabi mayo and peas and cucumbers? Chef's kiss! Will go next time we are there in late summer and highly recommend!

I've been craving for fish and chips and found out this place offers it and pairs with thick cut fires which is my favorite. I am not a fan of skinny fries. They don't have parking so only street parking. Not too crazy busy since we got seated right away. My boyfriend and I ordered the fish and chips and the queenstown burger i did ask all the condiments on the side. If you do want fries with your burger it would be $5-$6 depending what kinda cut of fries/ sweet potato fries you want. I think food was mediocre. Fish was not crispy it was kinda soggy and the batter didn't hold onto the fish well it was easily separated. I would prefer a regular white tartar sauce instead of a spiced tartar sauce. The burger was nothing special. It's good but not memorable. I did not like the bun since it seemed dry and hard. The patty was pretty thick and consistently cooked of how I requested which was medium. What I think was the best was their thick cut fries which I should've ask them to omit the Cajun seasoning (which comes with it) and their ketchup chutney. The service here was great though very attentive! Overall the food was mid and thick cut fries add on for 6$ was a bit too much. I had something similar to this called the queenstown pub and I definitely prefer the taste of the food there.

What is there not to say about this place? it's definitely an All-Star!! This months, new places with old friends brought us here. From the moment you walk up to this place, you're smiling and having a good time. Everything we had food wise was amazing. The table favorite overall was the corned beef Sando they have for St. Patrick's Day menu. The fish in the fish and chips tasted so fresh and flavorful. Just can not say 1 thing we'd change food, wise, staff, wise, or the place in general. This place is a vibe that will how are you coming back over and over.

Came with a friend who usually comes here for the mimosas after volleyball! It has a really cute ambiance outside with the chairs and a relaxed feeling. Service was really slow just for the two of us and another couple had to flag down the server for us in order for our order to be taken. The chilaquiles were pretty good but I wouldn't say they were the best I've had. The egg was really fluffy and perfectly poached, but the sauce seemed a little mellow or thin compared to traditional chilaquiles. My friend ordered the lemon basil spritz and it was extremely watered down and had absolutely no spritz involved, so she just exchanged it for a traditional mimosa. Overall, I would try this place again but I would definitely switch up my order

Drinks & appetizers are fantastic. The pretzel and the onion dip thrilled the table. Lamb skewers was a great choice for one order. Cheesesteak was a solid choice. The meat pie & hog burger was underwhelming. Burger was overcooked and the meat pie was not a filling or full as described. Ambience, drinks & appetizers definitely say come back. Meals were let down after the appetizers.

Always a delicious spot and love that it's right around the corner from me. Everything here is good, but you really can't beat the shoestring fries. Sooooo good. I tried the tequila drink from the specialty drink list and really enjoyed it as well.

We stopped in for lunch and let me tell you we ended up having the most relaxing and enjoyable meal! JC was our server and took great care of us. This is a New Zealand restaurant, which was new to me, but they seemed to have a great selection of New Zealand type food and American dishes. The vibe here is so chill. I love the music they have playing. We sat out on their patio, which was super comfortable, dog friendly (like most places in SD) and I really liked they had astroturfing beneath the tables. I was in sandals (just coming from the beach) and was able to kick them off and feel like I had my toes in the grass. Just added to the relaxing environment. I ordered the Miso Tasty chicken sandwich and it was amazing. I also loved the matchstick fries and different dipping sauces they served, especially the wasabi! My friend ordered the fish and chips and commented may have been the best ever, which is a bold statement, but it really did look delicious. I'd definitely return to Raglan and suggest you stop in, as well!

Love the ambiance. We started with the Vodka drink; it was okay, very strong and but not much flavor to it, it's suppose to be a strawberry flavor, so if your looking for a strong drink it does the trick. We got chicken skewers, calamari and 50/50 onion rings and fries. Chicken skewers had a yummy sauce but a little mushy. Other two apps were great and lots of different dipping sauces. Service was a little slow, took awhile to be greeted at the front door and at table. Server was very friendly though and bartender was quick with making drinks.

The portions are big and the quality of the food is very good. The breading and seasoning on the chicken was tasty AF. Secondarily, the burgers are 1/4 lb and a single is plenty for a normal person. Lastly, the rings were thicc and GBD. Unfortunately, we sat in traffic for 3 hrs from OC, when it normally takes 1 1/2 hrs: We were really hungry, and Hodads met our needs. Regarding the ambiance, its a bit grunge but np for me. The name has a whole lot of nostalgia in SD. The service was friendly & warm. Our food came out quickly. Pros: I got the half-pound burger with fries and it was really good overall. The burger was super juicy, well-cooked, and had that classic hearty, satisfying taste you want from a solid burger spot. The portion size was generous, especially with the half-pound patty, and the fries were a great side to round out the meal. The location in Pacific Beach is also a big plus. It's in a great area with lots going on, so it's easy to grab food and walk around afterward or make it part of a beach day. The overall vibe of the spot feels casual and fitting for PB--nothing overly fancy, just good comfort food done right. Cons: Since it's in a busy beach area, parking and crowds can be a bit of a challenge depending on the time you go. It's more of a casual grab-and-go or quick dine-in spot, so don't expect a sit-down restaurant experience with a lot of space or quiet seating. During peak beach hours, it can also get pretty busy. Verdict: Overall, Rocky's Burgers is a great spot in Pacific Beach if you're craving a juicy, satisfying burger in a fun beachside area.
