Super disappointed in service. Got a message that they needed more time, ok awesome thinking a great job will be done. I wasn't able to be onsite to see their work and paid via Venmo. I went several hours later and looks like none of the carpeted bedrooms were vacuumed. Kitchen floor still has sticky spot that wasn't mopped. Kitchen cupboards and bathrooms looked pretty ok but vacuuming is a must when getting a house cleaned. The pic was things I got off the carpet with just my hand from only 1 of the rooms! To top it off the staff left their cigarette butts in the front planter. As a business owner they need to re-evaluate their staff and work practices. Will not be using again. read more

Extremely unreliable service. Most of the times cancel at short notice with the worst excuses possible. Never the same crew sent to our house. We requested 4 weeks in advance an end of lease clean with clear instructions on time when they need to be there. They came 5 hours late, only one guy. We had to rearrange our day: cancel work meetings, reschedule appointment with landlord. They did apologise nor offered a discount, on the contrary they start sending payment requests 10 minutes after they left. WORST UNRELATED SERVICE read more

None of those were completed and I genuinely think somehow my floors were dirtier than before their arrival. This company came recommended from some neighbors on NextDoor. I called Green Girl Maid Services to come and do the first cleaning of my home since Covid-19 broke out. To be clear, we're talking almost 6 months since the house has had a deep clean! Plus with the lock-down, 3 kids, and all of us working from home, the house looked like a bomb had exploded. Kids toys strewn about, laundry up the wahzoo, etc. Scary, I know! I spoke with the owner over the phone and made an appointment for a Thursday. I got a text message the day of saying that one of the cleaners had fallen ill (It's COVID season, so probably shouldn't tell that to prospective clients. A simple "Her car broke down" would have been good enough for me) and that they would have to reschedule. OK..so we moved our appointment to the following Monday at 12:30pm. Kind of irksome for a 1st impression, but not a deal-breaker, stuff happens. Monday comes and they arrive at 1:15pm. OK..I'm not a picky person, I had nowhere to go, so not gonna worry about a little time slippage. One good thing is that they have a texting system that will alert you when your cleaner is en route so I was aware they were running a tad behind. Upon arriving, I show them the areas that need to be cleaned and it is immedetially apparent to the owner that he underbid the job, which is fine. I have no problem paying more for a good clean. Especially if it hasn't been cleaned in FOREVER! They clean as much as they can in 3 hours and then let me know that they will need to come back the next day and finish the job. Once again, NOT a finicky person, so I agree. It's a big house that needs a lot of work. I ask them back hoping that it will all be worth it in the end. Unfortunately, it kind of wasn't. I was super happy when they left the 2nd day, just looking at a glance everything appeared to be in order, but then I looked at the finer details and it was a cascade of strange things: -- As some other people have mentioned, they empty all of the trashcans in the home (Awesome!) but then they don't put in any trash liners or bags (Not Awesome). So you end up with a home full of trash cans with no liners. In addition one of the cleaning people threw their cleaning trash in the trashcan that she had emptied and failed to put a liner in. So I came home to cleaning trash in the trashcan (Not our trash), no liner (See picture). Every cleaning service has ALWAYS asked me where the bags are OR brought their own liners. -- I walk to inspect the kitchen. On the surface, looks good, but then I see that they left an entire sink of dirty standing water in one of the sinks. So strange...why not just run the disposal? I open the dishwasher and the dishes, which had been "cleaned" were caked with random food. (Sad...see picture) Also, food crumbs left under the microwave. Ehhhh... -- Upon heading upstairs, something near my feet catches my eye. It's a half-drank 7-11 Mango juice left at the base of my stairway. How do you come to clean a house and then leave trash behind? So odd. There were some other, non-cleaning issues that did not vibe well with me but I'm not going to be petty and mention them here. All in all the cleaning was nothing that is going knock your socks off. The ladies who were here were very nice and pleasant and did the best job they could do with the time they had, but the attention to detail with Green Girl Maid Services is severely lacking in comparison with my previous cleaning service, so I'll be running back into my old cleaners arms. The Crew was pleasant, Darren responded right away and actually changed my day as I had told him the wrong date, he corrected it very quickly for me.However, the cleaning job was poor. I was having a surprise party for my husband so of course I was running around and just assumed they would do a great job. My blinds were not dusted off to my toilet still had stuff behind them my bathroom counters didn't even look like it was touched. Unfortunately for me I trust of the fact that they were done. This review is for a cleaning I had done in a move out last year. I forgot to write a review but I was very unhappy with the service I received. I booked a move out clean and was not notified of how I would be charged for payment so I assumed we'd take care of it once it was done. Initially they seemed accommodating as I let them know that I wouldn't be available at the time of cleaning and that the home would be unlocked so they could enter. However, after the cleaning was done I went to inspect and I found a broken shelf in my refrigerator which was not broken before. I also noted subpar cleaning, for example there was still dust on surfaces that came off on my finger. I received an invoice for the service and when I called them, I described that there was a broken shelf that I believed was due to the cleaning service. I spoke calmly and yet the immediate response from the man I spoke with was to aggressively tell me that it wasn't their responsibility and he blamed my "tenants" for breaking it. He incorrectly assumed I had tenants as I was the one who lived in the condo. I did it have tenants. He then also aggressively told me that it was their policy for me to be present at the cleaning so it was my fault for not being there and that I had told them I'd be there. They actually agreed to me not being there through text and if it was their policy, then they went against it and didn't notify me that I had to be there. He also yelled at me for not already paying on the day of service, claiming that when he spoke to me previously, I had said I'd leave a check there for payment. I never said such a thing and I distinctly remember that they never reviewed method of payment with me during booking. I also don't even own a checkbook and don't make payments by check unless specifically instructed because I'd need to get one from the bank. After back and forth of him being aggressive and me explaining my side, I was fed up with his attitude as I was trying to be reasonable. I just told him I'd pay the full invoice just to end the conversation and I didn't care about the shelf anymore. I also added on that I wasn't going to bring it up initially but the cleaning service was not good and even my tenant that moved in complained that the place was still dirty. He then told me he'd call me back again for payment and hung up. He called back later and left a message that they would take a $25 discount from my invoice. Only for that, I give 2 star instead of 1. However I do not recommend this service as they didn't even clean up to standard and because of the attitude of the man I spoke with. Not sure if he's an owner or what but I work in customer service and I'm never hostile towards customers, putting false words in the customer's mouth, and overall being rude. If he had just calmly reasoned with me that there was no proof on either of our sides because we didn't take pictures of before, I would've just said ok and paid the full invoice. read more

We've been struggling to find a good cleaning company for years. Either the management was bad at places or the cleaning wasn't up to par - it's important to have management who knows what's going on as well as great cleaners who listen to your needs and do a great job. Can't say enough good things about Daniel and Shantal. Yesterday was our first cleaning with Green Girl and everything is so clean! We have a huge dust problem and other cleaning companies could not or would not handle it satisfactorily but Daniel even mentioned that he dusted in nooks that had not been dusted in a long time. One of the best things about the cleaning was that there wasn't a powerful overwhelming chemical smell after they were done! That's really important to me as I don't want my small children breathing in gross chemicals after a cleaning. I am hoping that I can schedule Green Girl for a monthly service now because I don't really want anyone else to clean my house. read more

We hired them for a move-in deep cleaning service. The house was completely empty (no furniture), newly remodeled with all new floors and appliances and bare windows, so I figured it would be easy for them to clean before we moved in. WRONG. Here's what $400 got me: 1. Windows and window sills left untouched and completely dusty. 2. Kitchen counters not wiped in some areas, leaving a lot of construction dust and drywall crumbles. 3. Bathroom tiles left dirty with old soap scum in some areas. 4. I saw shoe footprints all over my brand new carpet. They WALKED on my BRAND NEW almost white carpet WITH THEIR SHOES ON! Who does that? 5. One of the employees asked me if they could use our washer to throw in a load of their cleaning rags. WTH The owner did offer to come back to have them fix what was left dirty, but he insisted on coming at a time that was inconvenient for me, plus made it awkward by saying he would have the employees answer to me about why they dropped the ball. read more

It was really easy communicating with Kim over the phone. She was friendly and personable. On the day I scheduled my cleaning, two women came promptly at 9am and was ready to work. My house was completely empty because we had moved, but we needed the old place cleaned before putting it on the market. They spent 5 hours cleaning a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath detached home. For the most part everything looked great, but there were a few minor things here and there that they missed. I'd hire them again because overall they did a great job without any supervision. Of course I have no way of telling if they could have worked faster or more efficiently because I wasn't there supervising at all. I just came in the beginning and came towards the end. Once they are in our house, they get to work (and I mean work, they are usually sweating by the time they leave). They are extremely thorough with their cleaning and have extreme attention to detail. I also appreciate the nice touches that they leave such as folding the toilet paper and organizing things in a cohesive manner. And no one ever showed up to clean my house and no one called me or texted me back. I can't say enough good things about my experience with green girl. I am picky when it comes to spending money. As picky as can be. Some would say hard to please but I don't believe that is the case if the job is done right. This is the first time in 7 years that I have EVER had a cleaning company do a thorough job with out me finding at least one thing I was less than pleased about. They did such a great, thorough job! I wish I took more pictures but I had 2 very neglected bathrooms and a dirty kitchen and it looks just like it did when I moved in. Everything about green girl was great from the get go. I can't remember the gals name but even from my first initial phone call requesting a quote, the customer service was top of the line. If possible to leave 0 stars for rating....that is what I would do! Darren the business owner showed up with one worker! They stood outside by their car talking for 20 minutes. I saw them through a window at which time I walked out to see what was going on! Darren says they were waiting for one other worker who was "running late" I then brought them in to show them my home and go over instructions. I am not picking and wasn't asking for anything extra just a good dusting, vacuum bathrooms etc. He assured me the whole time that it would all be done perfectly! I let him know that I had EVERYTHING needed as far as cleaning products, brooms, brushes, towels all the proper solutions and sprays needed for a nice finished job. By now the late employee showed up and came in acting like she was on Caffiene overload or something crazy! She was instructed by Darren on all she missed in the walk through. I sat outside 3 hours while they "cleaned". Darren told me to check the work upstairs that was done and let him know my thoughts. It was awful! dust on the dressers where it was obvious things were not moved. he assured me he did move and dust however, he couldn't explain why it was so dusty. I opened the toilets and all three had toilet cleaner sitting in them (obviously not scrubbed) Darren assured me he watched his employee clean it himself. When we asked the girl she said she didn't have a toilet brush! Seriously? I have toilet brushes in every bathroom! Remember Darren said he saw her cleaning it personally! He was very defensive when I asked why the house wasn't done even close to acceptable. I asked them to leave before they were done "cleaning" downstairs. I was talking with the one girl who was apologizing for the bathroom situation when Darren looks straight at me with a scary tone to his voice..."DO NOT SPEAK TO MY STAFF!" i informed him that I was just telling her not to be upset it wasn't her fault. I had a move-in cleaning done and was not happy with the service. My husband had specifically asked the ladies to clean some greasy spot on our tile floor. We saw them mopping. However the spot was still there. We thought the spot must be something hard to clean. After they left, my husband tried to clean it himself and the spot came off right away from some rubbing. No hard scrubbing was needed. So why couldn't they clean it? Many shelves were still dusty after they left. We felt like they did a superficial job. We definitely experience better cleaning than this company. Also I repeatedly showed my interest in regular cleaning to Kim but she never got back to me about scheduling it. But that doesn't matter any more. After seeing what they did, I am not about to give them my business. That's too bad. I really liked the idea of safe eco cleaning. read more

Before the cleaning I spoke with a representative on the phone and we discussed what I needed done; I left the call feeling good about my cleaning appointment however, when the person showed up at my house, he had no idea what type of cleaning I needed done.. 4 hours and 262 dollars later my new carpet had black spots on it and my house was still dusty. Kim was great on the phone, and recommended that I book 4 hours for a move out, but I decided on 3.25 because we had done some pre-cleaning during our move out. Not a stick of furniture was in the house. 2 bed, 2.5 bath. Told them not to do anything to carpet because carpet cleaners were coming next day. Team of 2 arrived on schedule, and immediately divided up responsibilities and went to work. The staff was uniformed, personable, and dilligent. Definitely kudos for that. I can't grade their actual work in progress state because I didn't want to hang over their shoulders as they worked. What I cannot understand after the time was over was that several areas were pretty much untouched. (oven, microwave, fireplace, garage, some moulding, etc) I was scratching my head about what they spent their tme doing? It's as if they dusted, but didn't truly clean. Mirrors and glass in the bathrooms looked good though. It's a good service I suppose for upkeep, but hard for me to correlate it to $60/hour. ****EDIT 7/10 I felt compelled to add a little addendum here to clear up any 'confusion' based on owner comment. During service, I was there the whole entire time. I spend that entire time in the car in the garage reading Maxim magazine. I entered the house a total of 3 times. First to discuss with them what I wanted, which was to focus on the kitchen and bathrooms. I specifically stated I would trust their expertise, and to let me know after the time was up if a 4th hour was needed. 2nd time was to give them some cold water I bought from CVS. Last time was with the crew downstairs. No one walked with me to show me what they did. I don't do this type of service often so I just figured everything would be in order. No one suggested I needed more time. I found all the stuff I pointed out in my review after they had left. I tipped them! I mentioned above, the personnel were polite and dilligent. I have friends in the service industry and only don't tip when something goes terribly wrong, which nothing did. And once again, I figured everything was in order. Did I mention that I've never turned on the oven? It was storage for pots and pans. Never used it because I don't use ovens. Must've been a lot of grease build up leaking from the stove top...and the yellow interior of the microwave? When I opened it - it was white, like the way I remember it. Whatever was missed on the stove top came off with a Clorox wipe... Maybe my expectations were too high. As mentioned, probably a good service if your stuff is in the house and you need touch up. I didn't see the manager reply my review until today. And what the manager replied wasn't true. I understand that they use the non toxic cleanser to clean. I didn't expect to have a total different and NEW condition after they cleaned. But the result is not acceptable cuz it looks WORSE!!! If the result is remain the same or even WORSE in my case, why do I need to hire the professional and pay people to do it. I won't complain if I can see some RESULTS after they finish their job. About the time and extra charge. I went back before 90 mins and one of the staff already resting in the kitchen only one more staff still in the bathroom for me to check the result with, but not still working. And only because by the time we all came down to the kitchen and get ready to write the check, the staff point at the clock on the microwave said it's over one minute so they are going to charge me $15 more. It's ridicules and that's why I want to write this review to warn other consumers be aware of this situation and think twice if they consider to use this company. First time customers of Green Girl Maid Service. Yesterday we had Miss Crystal and Miss Asia clean our condo. They were excellent. On time, asked me to take them around the house so they could prepare for the cleaning. And again once the cleaning was done. They did an amazing job. Bathrooms are spotless - especially the glass doors. My black porcelain sink was a hard water spotted disaster - Miss Crystal made it like new! Dusted everything! Did my ALL my shutters - we have almost every window shuttered. Kitchen spotless, floors spotless, carpeting vacuumed! They do carpet cleaning and Mexican pavers as well - future projects for us! Both ladies are respectful, professional, kind, fun and SO thorough. Darren, the owner of this franchise, was also very thorough with emails and with his coming by to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I was referred to this company through a family friend because I had just moved into a new house that was to much for me to handle cleaning wise. It was filthy, and looked as if it hadn't ever been cleaned by the previous owners. It took a couple hours, as expected, but when finished, I felt like I was walking into a completely different house . The WHOLE place was spotless. To be honest I wasn't expecting it to be as clean as it was, not because I doubted the employees but because of how dirty it had been. Here was her message: 2/17/2014 The client called complaining he received $70 in overdraft fees because the check wasn't deposited in a timely manner. This is untrue. The rate was actually less then what he wrote the check for and he didn't want or have another check to write so he wanted to pay with credit card. There is a 3% processing fee with credit cards as we are a small business and the merchant fees are substantial. We offer this option as many other maid services do not. We could have easily fixed the mix-up and credited the next cleaning or sent a refund in the overpaid amount (they have used us many times). We apologize for that mix-up and all managers are now aware of the process should this for refunds should it ever happen again in the future. No call was made that wasn't answered and the he left an enraged message using profanity. We called back and spoke to him although he was quite hostile. As you can see from the his other reviews, negative pretty much across the board. This truly could have been avoided had tempers calmed. We apologized for the rate mix-up but it was a benefit to the client so we were honest that there was an overcharge. The first time they came was about a week ago, and the job was a bit subpar for my husband and I. We were disappointed, and expected a bit more than what was given. We have 3 kids, and one of them has special needs, so having a break from cleaning sometimes is just what we need. Darren, who is the owner, called me earlier this week after I gave a yelp review of my experience, and wanted to correct the situation immediately. He has been nothing short of pleasant every time I have spoken to him. He did say that the team he sent to our home the first time he had let go because this was not the first time he had heard similar things about that specific team, and to please give him another chance to rectify the experience for us. My husband and I agreed. They came today. I do not get home from work today until 8:00 pm but my husband just got home a bit ago and said the place looked fantastic and he noticed a big difference from the first time to this time. It's details that make or break the experience. I will definitely call Green Girl, and talk to Darren again when we need our home cleaned. He runs a very professional business and I appreciate not only his customer service, but also their cleaning that was given to us today. I cant wait to go home and see our house! We met the principals of this company at their Irvine Farmers Market booth. We have a relatively clean home with only two occupants. We have a floor robot and new hardwood flooring. The toilet, shower, bathroom sink etc. were already clean. We were hoping for a dusting and detail cleaning. They sent us two very young people who did not dust under the dresser, clean the sink or wipe down the kitchen cabinets. They charged us for two hours of two people cleaning (4 man hours) We were very disappointed. They didn't call to see if we were satisfied and it took almost a week for them to return our phone call.The most green part of this service is their staff. We will seek a different cleaning company. read more

I love green girl maid service. The employees are great and really listen to what I need. Kim the owner is a lovely women. I had them come in and clean before a party and they really had my house sparkling at the end of the day. You can't go wrong with affordable pricing and very competent workers.
