Greg Mango Pest control talks a great game. They do not deliver. And once you sign the contract they make you keep your end of the bargain, but they don't come to kill your bugs. They have awesome looking trucks because they are more interested in "murdering" the trucks than hey are in murdering your pests. Green Mango Pest Control, where do I start. Well I heard a lot of great things on Facebook in my community about Green Mango so I decided to give them a call. There customer service on the phone was very pleasant. They told me the there would be several charges for a annual contract with them. First one was $199 for initial service but if we maintained our service for an entire year it would be discounted $100. This First month service includes spraying the ground, and injecting powder for scorpions in the crevasse of the exterior walls. Second visit would be $95 a month later to kill off any eggs that hatched. After that it would be a bi monthly visit for $95 a shot. We wanted the Scorpions gone so I agreed to pay this, and signed up for a annual service knowing full well if we canceled our contract before the year was up, we would have to pay back the $100 they discounted. The day came for the first service. The technician arrived sprayed inside and out but when it came to the Powder injection into the exterior walls, well, the technician didn't do it (I was able to watch him on the cameras). Then the technician left no word about not doing the entire job. First service $99 after discount of $100 I called Green Mango to enquire they said that he had problem with his equipment and they would be sending a different technician to finish the job in a few days. Now, I can certainly understand equipment malfunctions it happens. What I CAN NOT understand is why we the customers (US) were not informed by the technician BEFORE he left the property. For all I know he might never have come back had I not called. But, I accepted them at their word and let it go. Second visit, 30ish days later. The technician arrived, sprayed the outside(for $95), walked up to the front door, my wife answered, and the technician handed her a flyer of some sort, and asked if there was anything else he could do for her, she said "no, I guess not" and the technician left. My wife asked me if they were supposed to do the inside as well because he did not. I did not know so I called Green Mango, and asked. The person on the phone reviewed the technicians notes (so he said) said that my wife was asked "If she wanted the interior sprayed as well" (not true) and my wife had declined. So, I called my wife again, (not telling here about my conversation with Green Mango) she again said he never asked to do the interior. I called Green Mango back again, and they confirmed the Technician had in fact not asked about spraying the interior. The technician had only asked "is there anything else I can do for you". Feeling I had been left in the dark and lied to about my service I was paying for I contacted Green Mango and explained to them I was dissatisfied with their service and wished to cancel. They made every attempt to keep me as a customer and I commend them for their efforts but the damage had been done. As the saying goes, Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice and shame on me. I told them I was done and wanted to cancel service. They charged me the original $100 dollars they had originally discounted because I didn't maintain my original contract for the entire year. Sends high school boys to do the job while they are On the phone with their friends telling them that green mango pest control will hire anyone and everyone because they are desperate. Manager tries to bully you on the phone and would not let me hang up and I ended up having to hang up on her. Worst pest control I have ever used. Update...no thank you! I am incredibly sad to say today was my last service from Green Mango. I have used them for 13 years. They do amazing work, always super professional, send text and call at least the day before they are scheduled. I have zero pest issues, and they know I have dogs and are very careful to make sure they are in when they arrive and give a estimated time of when it is safe to let them out. Billing is straight forward, one price increase in 13 years and it was$0.16 or something equally ridiculous. Very nice people to deal with. I wish they were going to be in my new state, I would for sure 100% use them again!! read more

Technicians are great. The corporate office or customer care is the problem. Company is touting itself as high end and you pay high end $85 a visit. Every time I get service my dirctions are not followed. Also don't like how they tried to do my 2 month service 15 days ahead of time. That actually translates in to sneaking more yearly visits in. Shame on them. No bug problems in the 3 months I have had them, but it's winter... considering canceling. read more

I decided to switch my service a few years ago to Green Mango because they are pet and human friendly. I no longer have a pesticide smell in my home and if my dog steps on the residue it's okay! I recently had my first treatment with Green Mango and so far so good. My sister referred them to me because she had a terrible German cockroach infestation when she moved into her house. She said it's been all cleared since they started coming out on a regular basis. So, that being said, I took her up on her referral card and gave them a call! Free initial flush at a $199 value. I'm ok with that! Who doesn't like to save money?? The only thing I was slightly dissatisfied with was they didn't knock down the wasp nest or spider webs around the front door. I called and left a message letting them know and I got a call the next day letting me know they noted it for the next time they come out. The wasp nest is not active so, I wasn't too concerned about it. The spider webs are daddy long legs so, I'm cool with them hanging around. If they were black widows, I'd be a little upset! Ain't nobody got time for venomous spiders. Overall I think the quality is pretty good. I like that the chemicals are safe for our pets and effective because I found a dead roach on our back patio! Better out there than in our house! Thankfully the activity of insects hasn't increased like they said it possibly could. We found a baby scorpion in the bathroom one day prior to our first treatment so, it was perfect timing! I can deal with roaches, but I cannot deal with scorpions! So far no more roaches or scorpions in the house! Fingers crossed it stays that way. read more

This company is great. Not the gentlemen who was at my home. Very rude by telling me our gate is locked and I've been here for 20 minutes waiting and he did not call my phone or my husbands phone. Also we have a faux lock so our gate was open the whole time. That was just me meeting the person. Then I see him spray the green mango stuff literally 10 feet away from the wall not going right up to it and spraying. By him doing this he then sprayed all of my plumerias, and cactus in our backyard. I then notice he knocks on my door saying he is done. I watched him the whole time. He did not put ANY scorpion powder ANYWHERE in our backyard, also did not spray my patio and patio door entrance. I am not happy nor is my husband. If your going to perform your job then do it. Green Mango was referred to me by the realtor who sold us the home. She said she'd never had pests during her years with them and she was right! I'm on a bi-monthly plan and find that it's perfect for me! It's affordable and my technician is always prompt courteous and thorough. He always asks if there are additional areas of concern and or problems I might have found. In CA and Hawaii I had terrible ant problems snd was very concerned about it when I came here but I haven't seen an ant here since move in which was when Green Mango started! I was a customer of Green Mango for almost 2 years. A few times they cancelled last minute and were impossible to reach by phone but hey - I never had any bugs, so I couldn't complain too much! Today was the THIRD time in a row they failed to show up for an appointment. The first time - 2 weeks ago - the technician got "sick" (but no one called to notify me or reschedule), the second time - last week - they just didn't show up (again, no call) and today the "pump broke" and somehow there were no other technicians available to come out to my house. I should mention they credited my account due to the inconvenience the first two times, but that isn't exactly helpful if your house never gets serviced.... The technician had actually called today and said he would be to be house in 45 minutes. I left work midday, stressed out and frantic to get there on time....... and they never showed up. Good luck getting ahold of anyone on the phone. Good luck getting someone to show up when they say they'll be there. Don't bother leaving work to meet them because they won't show up anyway. Not worth it. Pest control companies are a dime a dozen, this company doesn't deserve your money and they certainly don't care about their customers. What happened?!?! read more

My husband and I are really disappointed with this company. They came out and have sprayed our house a couple times and we had a giant Bee problem that he came out to take care of. Evidently the queen of the colony was not killed and moved 2 feet away from the last spot they had a hive at and we called to have them come out and take care of them. Well it's been five days and we haven't got a call whether or not they've taken care of the bees. We are not living in this home at this moment. So we had no idea what was going on. We called and the customer service gal told us that they looked at it and are going to charge us $250 to take care of it. We were under the impression that they were taking care of it that day! We also had ants in our bedroom and in our bed! When we asked for someone to come out and spray or take care of this they waited until our monthly scheduled visit instead of taking care of it promptly.They're not clear on what they're doing for you. We asked to talk to a manager. We still have not gotten a call back. I've left a message my husband has left messages we don't get callbacks. I know that we signed a contract which really sucks because now we're gonna have to pay $190 just to get out of a contract where their customer service sucks! So save yourself the headache and just go with a different company! UPDATED: I was immediately contacted by Green Mango after this review was posted and they have taken care of our new problem! The worst. Absolutely. No question. We sought them out because JohnJay and Rich raved about them on 104.7 FM. So almost 5 years ago we brought them over to our house. At first they were good. The guys showed competence and consistency. But over the last few years they stopped being professional. We'd book a time, no one would show and they would bill us. We would call and they would have some story about dogs in the yard. Then they would come at the wrong date and then spray only the front (since the gates were locked) and then they would bill for a full yard treatment. If you're not there to watch them, you get a 15 minute appointment. It was so different Technician to Technician. But it was the missed appointments and phantom new appointments that caused us to say no more. Their customer service is Horrible. After the last fiasco, we told them, I'm writing to cancel our account and for you to never come back. Sure enough, today, over they text and email about an appointment on Monday? Really! How do we quit these people? UPDATE: As with many other companies Green Mango posted a reply here and asked for my contact info. I have them the number, they never called or emailed. So the response on Yelp is to make themselves look good. But just like their home service, their customer follow is nonexistent!!! read more

Initial review was 2 stars: I'm hoping this isn't how it's going to go with this service and I can change my rating. I just signed up for service in June. I was supposed to have a tech come and spray on the 28th of August. They called and said that he got sick and they needed to reschedule. They can't send someone until Sept 3rd. Well in the meantime I am noticing bugs! I'll have to wait 6 days before they can send someone out! Today I went to get a drink out of my garage and saw the biggest spider!!!! I called and basically the lady told me there is "NO WAY" to get someone out there sooner and they are sooo busy! Maybe it's time for Green Mango to hire more technicians. They promise the world to get you to sign up. Update: They called and said they are sending someone today! I'm going to be completely honest, they were late the first time they came but after I emailed them, they fixed it in a matter of hours. I was seeing crickets, scorpions and cockroaches in my house. I have 4 kids, so I was extremely worried. After they sprayed the second time I have not seen a single bug. My next spray is in July, so I will keep you updated! Cancelling service is comparable with cancelling service with a gym, or buying a car. Just cancel, don't pass me to an account manager to talk me out of it and guilt me into keeping your service. Update to previous review: Still one star. I'd give less if I could. We've been with Green Mango since they first opened many years ago. At first, the service was always top notch. It's clear now that they don't care about quality anymore. We have always had service provided on Saturdays between 8am-12pm. We had been scheduled previously and they called us needing to reschedule. I get that, sometimes things come up and schedules change a bit. Our service was rescheduled for today between 8am-12pm. Green Mango never showed up. I'm sure someone will reach out to us over this review in an attempt to fix their mistake...however we've already been there and done that and they are still making mistakes with the same customers they've already apologized to. The technician who came to our home today destroyed property and then sat in his truck trying to avoid the situation. I called customer service and was told by them to "calm down" because there isn't anything they can do for me today because managers don't work on Saturdays. This is 100% unacceptable. 1), this technician obviously needs some training, 2) customer service definitely needs training, and 3) every day that a business operates there should be a manager available! This company once used to be great and be super courteous but the last year or so dealing with them has been a nightmare. From not showing up when promised, from forgetting to schedule our bi-monthly service, and now this. We have been with this company for about 6 years and with three different homes so it's sad to see the decline in customer service. read more

Absolutely wonderful experience. From the first phone call to the actual treatment everyone has been professional, friendly, and willing to answer any and all questions I had. Service reps were on time and communicated when they were on their way. They were also able to inform me about why I was seeing the problems I was and how their termite treatment was not only different from what I had before but also how it would work and the timeline of what I should see post treatment.
