We went with Green Mountain after another company in Redondo Beach wasn't available, and I'm so glad they weren't--Green Mountain absolutely blew the other company (who we've used twice before for other moves) out of the water. Moving is stressful. Your movers can either ease some of that tension or completely break up a marriage and leave you sleeping outside for a week (like my last move). Luckily, we went with Green Mountain movers after a friend recommended them. Carlos and his crew were friendly, fast and careful. It was insane watching this team operate. I have no idea where all the strength and stamina came from. Nothing was broken or damaged. They made absolutely sure everything was set up exactly how we wanted, and they hauled away all the trash/supplies. Also they didn't gouge us on supplies (or charge us at all for that matter). The flat per-hour fee was all we paid, so the final bill wasn't a surprise. They weren't milking the clock and they were literally running the whole time. (Also they did all this without smelling bad, which unfortunately I can't say about the water heater repair man, who had a 20 foot stink radius). They were extremely slow and even tried to talk us out of putting a piece of furniture upstairs because it was heavy. (My roommate lifted it himself, but the two of them didn't want to move it.) We hired Green Mountain Movers to help us move from our one story house to three story house. They underestimated how many boxes we had and came over with mid-sized truck which was not big enough to fit all of our stuff. As a result we have to move a lot of extra boxes on our own (we did decide to do this to avoid extra time we would get charged for). The movers were mostly careful about wrapping our furniture but ended up scratching our brand new floors and chipped part of our cabinet doors from moving our washer/dryer into a tight space (laundry room). read more

I was pretty impressed with Green Mountain. Excellent and quick communication from Belle throughout the process. Yelp deal ($20 for $50) was an added bonus. Was able to book for a Saturday morning move only two days prior. Plus $75 an hour with 3 hour min is tough to beat in LA. The truck (much bigger than I needed but better too big than too small) and movers arrived right on time, like, to the minute. They gave me a 8-10am window but I requested 9am due to my storage hours and they showed up right at 9. I also had three pickup locations (storage unit, friend's garage, OfferUp purchase location) and received no fuss about it. Everything took longer than expected, but my last move was rushed and some of my expensive belongings were dropped, so I'd rather have paced and safe than rushed and broken. Wound up being more expensive than I anticipated, but only because of my own failure to estimate 110/101 traffic and drive time. There were a couple times Carlos and his team mate carried heavy things solo and made me kind of nervous, but they took good care of my stuff. Nothing broken or dinged. Packed it well inside the truck. Dropped everything off where I told them to put it and helped re-assemble a couple things too. Can't recommend these guys enough. Will definitely go back to them for my next move (which hopefully isn't soon). read more

I cannot rate Green Mountain Moving highly enough! From first contact to the last, their professionalism and service were exemplary. Barak was easy to get ahold of, and always responded to my questions or concerns (nervous mover) knowledgeably and professionally. I moved from Long Beach to the Central Coast, including having my things in storage (with Green Mountain) for two months. I am now finished unpacking, and NOT A SINGLE ITEM WAS BROKEN OR DAMAGED!! This from a three-bedroom home that had a lot of antique/vintage items, as well as 20-30 pieces of art and antique mirrors that had to be packed. I packed about 2/3 of the house, and Green Mountain packed the rest, including my kitchen and wall art. I did notice that some of the boxes I used (from Lowe's) were a bit crumpled from being stacked (though nothing was broken or damaged), whereas the boxes that Green Mountain used were stronger cardboard and had reinforced corners. So if you wonder why their boxes may cost more, they're a higher quality. I was also extremely impressed with both crews I worked with. The packing/loading crew worked efficiently for two days - wearing masks the entire time - to get things packed and loaded. The crew who delivered my belongings to my new home had a four hour drive to get there, unloaded everything and helped me place furniture in about three hours (again, masked the whole time), and then had a four hour drive home. Both crews were unfailingly polite and professional, and transported my belongings with care. Moving is never fun, but Green Mountain's excellent service made things go smoothly, which took a lot of the stress out of the process. I highly recommend them! read more
