I know this place is busy, I'm regular customer here, but waiting 57 minutes for two dishes it totally unacceptable. I asked 2 employees to check on the status and they never responded. After 57 minutes I got up and asked the manager and it still wasn't ready. At that point I asked for a refund and he immediately proceeded to cancel my order without any explanation, apology or not even offered a glass of water. Kabobs, Greek salad, the baba-ghannouj (eggplant dip), garlic paste, pita, and gyro are all so good! The portions are large so we either share a meal or take some home with us. This place is probably a good 12 miles from where we live, and I would make the trek whenever I have enough time. Service is meh-not good, not bad. There is usually a crowd and we almost always have to wait for a seat, but things always open up by the time our food is ready. There is also outside patio dining. Good middle Eastern food. We dined here on Sunday night at 7:30 and there was still a stream people coming in for Takeout and dining in We ordered the falafel plate, chicken gyro, and filet mignon beef plate The falafel was good and my chicken gyro was huge with plenty of chicken in it. It taste great but messy eating it as they put too much sauce in it. The filet mignon was good but a bit overcooked. It was freezing in there and there was a constant air draft hitting our legs even though the door was closed. I didn't like that the serve on to go box instead of plates when we dined in. I had high hopes coming into Green Olive as I had heard relatively good things about it. I have to say though, I was not deeply satisfied with my experience here because of the food I ordered. I came on a Saturday night where it was very busy in here. The line was almost out the door and there was people everywhere, some eating and others waiting for their food. It was about 15 minutes of waiting in line followed by another 30 of waiting for the food. I ordered the lamb platter which comes with five pieces of lamb, rice, a house salad (which i substituted for Tabbouleh) and some hummus with pita bread. It was okay, but i feel like I was expecting it to be great, like some very high quality and well portioned food and it just wasn't :/ . The lamb itself was alright, the rice was nothing special, the hummus was very liquified and not very consistent in texture, and the tabbouleh was meh. But my biggest issue with this meal was the price. Almost 21$ for very MEAGER portions, like we are talking a palm sized portion of hummus and tabbouleh, a small bed of rice under your pieces of meat, and the pieces of lamb are not even that big to begin with. I felt like I could have paid less somewhere else and gotten more food of similar or higher quality. I don't know if it's because i'm used to mediterranean places really packing the plates with food and giving you a good helping of everything or because of the recession but I felt like this was not worth it for the price I paid. I don't think I would come back here to be honest. They don't offer anything really different from other places and like I said before, you could probably pay less elsewhere and get more food. read more

The chicken and beef as you can see in the video was dry. I try to make the most of it and we did let them know and they kindly gave us a new batch of beef. Also, doesn't the salad come with some sort of dressing? It was just salad without the dressing that was on our plate. Off the bat the flavor and meal was good. I can see why this place has a good representation. But it was a complete disaster to say the least. We assumed it was much like chipotle where you pick your entree and they serve it on a container to go and you can either take it to go or eat there. We waited over 35 mins from ordering for our food to get it. We were very disappointed in the wait. We honestly wouldn't have came if we knew it would take that long.
