I've eaten at another great Green Olive that I think is part of the same chain, and it was bigger, while this one is fairly small with an outside patio. It was a great find anyway. I had four (four!) meaty lamb chops, rice, and a green salad, for $18.99 - an unheard of price in the area. Other menu options like gyros are significantly lower priced. The chicken was dry and the rice had no flavor whatsoever. There was no dressing for the salad. The hummus had no flavor. The Green sauce was not spicy and very watery. The star of the show and my highlight Forsure was the filet mignon which was outstanding. Tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. We got a lamb kabob platter, a chicken kabob platter a chicken wrap, kibbi, a spinach and cheese pie and a salmon platter. The lamb platter was fantastic with big, juicy pieces of freshly cooked lamb. All of the platters come with rice, which was nicely seasoned, hummus, and a green salad. I was told that the hummus is creamy and delicious. I also got baba ghanoush which was flavorless. The spinach and cheese pie was super tasty. I should've gotten a piece to take home. The chicken wrap and chicken platters were good and had lots of chicken. The chicken was well cooked and not dry. The dishes also come with two soft pieces of pita bread for dipping and such. The kibbi is made from ground filet mignon. I liked it and it went nice with the tzatziki that comes with it. I hadn't tried kibbi before and I would definitely get it again. The service was spotty. We weren't greeted when we came in and I was ignored when I asked if we seat ourselves. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to the table. Everything is served in to go packaging and the only trashcan is outside. The ladies at the cash register were very nice, shout out to Evelyn. I love The Olive. The food is always great and I'll be going back. Make sure you check you to go order. When you spend what you spend and don't get the bread that should come with it it's not fun. It was a busy day so I understand orders might take longer than usual. However, my issue is that when I placed the order I was given a wait time between 30-45 minutes. It took just over an hour to give me my order. I spoke to manager about giving us more realistic wait times and his response was he didn't take my order. I was aware but perhaps he could work on that with his employees instead of telling me that some meats take longer than others to cook. That's knowledge that they have, not the customer. I got the filet mignon beef kabobs platter, hummus, tabbouli salad, and baklava. My favorite is the filet mignon beef kabobs, because the meat is so tender. It's lightly seasoned just the way I like. They really do a great job grilling the kabobs. The hummus was also super delicious. Some hummus can be kind of gritty, but their hummus is smooth and creamy. The tabbouli salad is a little bit on the sharp side. The baklava is a must. It's so flakey and crispy, and I love pistachios. It's definitely on the sweeter side, but I ain't complaining. The price is pretty comparable to other places. Parking is easy. Glad I was able to check this place out in person. read more
