Service was excellent. Our server acknowledged us right away, was attentive but not intrusive. The restaurant was very clean, no sticky tables or chairs. The food was excellent. We had the Chicken Amalfi and the Chicken Bibbiano. Both dishes were balanced in flavor and cooked perfectly. A group of 8 of us went here for the first time for a friend's birthday. Everyone LOVED their food. We had gluten free ladies who ordered kabob dishes and loved them. I had chicken Bibbiano and thought it was great. Others had chicken Parmesan, a salmon dish, chicken Amalfi, and the Mediterranean hamburger and all enjoyed the food. We had a slice of red velvet cake which was fine but I probably wouldn't do again. Just a bit dry. The server, Dominique, was excellent. It was a busy night and a big party so took awhile but when the food is great and server is so good it really didn't matter. We saw this little place being built and when it was finished, we had to check it out. Once you walk inside it smells like fresh pasta, cheeses, and leafy greens like basil. There is a bar in front a hostess, and sitting to wait. They told us 12-15 minute wait but we got seated at around 5. They have music playing and great Mediterranean/Italian decor and very funny and friendly staff. Once we we're seated they took out order in no time and got out food out quickly. We had a homemade hummus appetizer with pita and it was delicious! I got Fettuccine Alfredo and the others got Chicken Parmigiana and Spaghettini and Meatballs. It comes with a side of bread at your table. The Fettuccine was delicious and nice and creamy. Chicken Parm was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the Meatballs and Spaghettini were great! Two huge meatballs on top!! Lastly, we got dessert. They have many different options but we got Cheesecake, Red Velvet cake, and Chocolate Peanut Butter cake. All were rich and tasty! Was expecting much better. The atmosphere was good and the exterior and interior was very nice. My first surprise was not seeing any dishes on the menu that had green olives in them (thus the restaurant name). I really like them and was disappointed. Next disappointment was the selection. The menu was fairly small with chicken being used in most dishes. I guess the size of the building is proportional to the menu selection. The falafel appetizer was pretty tasteless and the sauce that came with it was totally tasteless. It was like a dipping cup filled with skim milk. Main dishes were very good, but didn't come with side salads. Prices were higher than expected. Based on what you get for the money, I would rather go to Manny's in Boiling Springs where I get a better selection and more overall taste from all menu items at a better price. Service was very good! This place could make a few changes and win me back as well as possibly more easily gaining others. The 4.5 and 5 star ratings I had seen, that made me want to try it, are definitely incorrect based on my personal standards. read more

My family and I have been to the Green Olive Grill several times and always had good food and service. That is why we kept coming back. But last night I had the worst excuses for a fettuccine Alfredo I've ever had. First of all, there was no fettuccine pasta. I was served wide egg noodles, I think. Instead of a creamy Alfredo Parmesan sauce with butter, it was a very thin broth-like sauce with very little cheese flavor. I asked people at my table what they thought, and everyone agreed this was a very poor excuse for the Italian classic Fettuccine Alfredo. I ate very little and left the plate sitting -- obviously hardly touched. I wish the waitress had asked why I didn't eat my meal. She did not. Otherwise, our waitress is very nice. But this was the worst excuse for Fettuccine Alfredo I've ever had. I doubt we'll go back. read more

My husband and I love this place! We have been 3 times and have tried something different each time (we've tried their pasta, salad, chicken, falafel, fish, and desserts). It's always been very good and is freshly made in house. They did just add to the menu as well. The service also makes the experience highly enjoyable because everyone has the greatest personality. Pass this place every day going home and was thrilled to see they were finally open! Been dying for some Mediterranean food in the Spartanburg area. The steak and chicken kabobs were excellent and the tzatziki sauce was really good. Their homemade dressing for the Greek salad was a little different, but it had a great taste as well. Very good food for the area! As a vegan I wanted to explore their options, I ordered the Pinky Goat with no cheese, dolmas, hummus & pita, & falafel. The salad was my favorite part. Pretty fresh with arugula, red cabbage, slivered almonds & crasins. Only thing that kinda threw me off was in one corner I did taste goat cheese like they started to throw some on there. The falafel was good, nothing crazy special, I like to see green when I bite my falafel personally but these were herb-free. The dolma filling was good but you could tell the grape leaves came out of a can as they had that terrible metallic aftertaste. The hummus was excellent, not much of a bread eater but the pita was soft and yummy. Overall good for the options vegans have in Spartanburg. read more

Great new spot! Offers Mediterranean style food. I got the grilled salmon and it was excellent. Perfectly cooked and not fishy at all. The brocoli and mashed potatoes were equally as great! My parents split the chicken kabobs and they were very impressed. A little on the pricier side for a weeknight but the portions were very generous. Overall very impressed, we will be back! read more

Very surprising experience. Went there with a group of around 26 people. All ordered individually from the menu. Not a problem. The food is European style, a mix of Italian, Greece and others. Hoping this will help a great restaurant. The food was deliciou. The service was fantastic. Hoping to see this restaurant survive. What needs to change? The Lobster Ravioli and no side salad included with meals. just wasnt enough of the ravioli for the price. They were delicious but thin. About the thickness of a chocolate chip cookie and probably smaller in round size than a small fountain drink lid. Approx 5 of them. i was shocked at how little food for the price considering Gerhards, Olive Garden or other options that serve more and include a salad at similar pricing. The lobster stuffing of tge ravioloi was so ground with cheese I guess that one couldn't distinguish any taste of lobster meet. Very little filling. The one shrimp each on top of each ravioli were nice but the title was Lobster Ravioli and not Shrimp Ravioli. Shrimp should not have been the primary feature flavor. With that said. It was a delicious dish. Just serve more of it as in 8 to 10 Ravioli. Include a small side salad that costs nothing to make really. Otherwise I cant see ever buying it again. The salmon plate was plentiful, just meeds a salad like at Basils at a similar price. The chicken Alfredo was also great. Highly recommend the place. Just hoping it will take constructive criticism and act upon that t so it will be a permanent fixture for our family. read more
