These people are the absolute scum of the world. Do not do your business here. One, the price is a complete joke. I needed to do same day service to pick up my clothes within the same day and was not given till the next day. Had to wait a good 30 mins just for him to tell me they had not worked on it yet. Not only that but the next day when I came in to pick up my clothes I was charged $5 extra for "special" service and he owner explains it's a fee for someone who picks up their clothes within 24 hr. $5 is nothing to me but when your employee quote me something, I expect to pay that price. I checked out Holiday Cleaners a few months ago. And was not at all pleased with the experience. Two of my silk blouses came back SHRUNK and another cotton/silk tunic was also shorter after dry cleaning. When I raised this with the owner: he was unapologetic saying it must be the first time I was dry cleaning these clothes. This was not true and besides it should not be happening the first time! He never so much as said sorry or offer a discount. They are also NOT a green certified cleaners as they claim to be. I found out you need to display a Bay Green Business seal which the shop does not have. I agree with previous reviewer: this place is a total scam. Having recently moved back to Mountain view, I've been searching for a cleaner that can match my hectic schedule and often times, rushed demand for weekly dry cleaning. What I found at Holiday cleaner is a local merchant who cares about the quality of his work, as much as he does his customers. Not only has Mike often offered to deliver my suits and shirts (sometimes cleaned flawlessly,same day), but via his expert seamstress, he repaired two tears in one custom blazer and a few moth holes in a sports coat I hadntworn in years. Literally, I've never been so pleased with the results or the customer service associated with my dry cleaner. Well he did it again. I didn't think he could do any better than he did on all my expensive gowns and coats. But when I took my most prize possession into have brought back to life I really was pushing my luck. But he didn't disappoint me one bit. For those of you who have hung on to that one sleeping "Teddy" for more years than you can remember and took it out when your most awful event took place - depression from unexpected divorce hit and you couldn't stop crying and get to sleep it worked like a charm. But you decided it needed a little work to look the way it did all those years ago. But you couldn't put it in the washer and dryer. So what was your next best choice? The business is definitely service oriented and the customer comes first. And they do just about the best job on their pressing as I have ever seen. These people took such great care of me I just want to repay the favor. I needed a hem, and needed it cleaned and needed it that same day. I tried this place for the first time last week and really liked it. The guy who worked there was super nice, the place was bright and clean, and the prices were reasonable. (I think my skirt was $5 and my wool pea coat was $10?) Definitely going back there. Parking is pretty easy, sometimes a bit crowded since its near the 99 Ranch Market, but you'll always find a spot. Brought in pants for hemming - was told $11 but it became $16 when picking up.

I was extremely disappointed by the way the manager handled things. I dropped off a petite coat (I am 5 ft and the coat barely makes it above my knees). The lady who checked me out said it was $9.99 and pointed to their charge sheet stuck on the wall showing me she was charging for a coat. She did not write the price on the receipt she gave me. The day I went to pick it up, the manager said it was $13.99.. on telling him I was originally told it was $9.99, he got really defensive and almost broke into an argument. I asked him to show me their pricing on the board stuck, and there was no such price.. he then started pulling out all the small coats in the store saying those qualify as small coats and not mine.. I was like dude I don't want to argue with you for $4.00, its about the principle. You can't have someone check you in and check you out with different pricing.. but he just wouldn't give up.. This is one of the worst customer experiences-ever! I signed up for VIP and they yell at you when you don't pick up your clothes on time (seriously, Hamid was rude and obnoxious on 3 occasions). They don't understand the concept of "customer service is your #1 priority or the customer is always right". Alternatively, I tried to call to get a pick up at my home to avoid another confrontation at the dry cleaners (suppose to be included in the VIP) and a woman that could not speak English answered the phone and just said one word "text" and hung up on my! I called 3 more times and they pick up the phone and then hang up on you. This cleaners farms out the pick up and delivery service to a third party, so you never know what you will get and when you will get it. Last, one of my husband brand new shirts (costs $150 for his shirts) was ruined. It looks like they spilled a chemical on the shirt! They returned it with a tag that said a stain didn't come out. There wasn't a stain when I dropped it off...they ruined a shirt and tried to make it look like we dropped it off with a stain. Their business practices are horrible. I *USED* to go to these guys exclusively for my dry-cleaning for YEARS. they had done what i thought was a satisfactory job on my cashmere clothes- that is, until they RUINED my 100% cashmere coat. As in- RUINED!!! The cashmere fibers were spotty in places, no- the entire coat felt like it had been stripped and raked with a steel brush. I was devastated beyond words! Ok, so maybe it's hard to get "woohoo" excited about dry cleaning. That said, they're good, reliable, reasonable and very personable.

I was not happy with this service. The owner is not very nice- when i was asking questions, he was barking at me. I dropped off suede shoes and he said he could get out the speckled mud. The mud is gone, but there is now a big white stain. When i complained, he did not apologize or offer a discount- he told me "he is not a shoe repair". The owner should really consider a different tone with the customers. read more

I have gone to this dry cleaner for four years and have trusted them with my most precious clothing, including altering my wedding dress. The alterations person did an amazing job. What I didn't realize was that a security tag had been sewn into my dress. When they went to do the final steaming red dye ran all over the front. Without any hesitation the owner arranged to have the top of my dress completely redone. He did this at no charge despite it wasn't his fault. My dress turned out to be amazing and looked even better than it did orginally. He pulled off a miracle a few days before my wedding. We have been using Holiday Cleaners for two years now. We drop clothes off weekly and we have had only one mishap. We picked up are clothes and realized once home that it was not our clothes. Although it was just passed closing, we called and Hamid answered. He waited for us to return with the clothing that was not ours and were able to get ours. This was great since we were traveling the next morning! Any time we need a rush, it is ready! Hamid always greats me in a very familiar, pleasant hello. I am very disappointed in Holiday Cleaners. I brought in a lined table runner for dry cleaning. It has the same fabric and liner as my drapes (no ruffles or pleats, just a FLAT piece of lined material. My drapes have been professionally dry cleaned elsewhere with excellent results). When I removed the runner from the hanger and placed it on the table #1 it not been properly ironed and #2 the seam that attaches the liner to the runner was separated in three places. I know that sometimes things happen during dry cleaning. However, I think it is reasonable to expect to be notified when there is a problem at the time of picking it up. Nothing was said. I called the cleaners and was given an excuse that the liner prevented the piece to be ironed and as far as the tears ... I was told: "sorry". Counter staff is friendly, However, that does not make up for poor service and quality. Would I recommend or take anything again to Holiday Cleaners? Answer: NO read more

We had been Holiday for 3 years simply bc it was conveniently located, and had no major complaints about the cleaning or alterations themselves, but the customer service and communication is terrible. I called in to change my address for delivery, but the woman abruptly told me to call back when she wasn't with a customer (nor did she ever call me back). Then when I drove there to pickup, the owner was so DISRESPECTFUL, talking down to me. For example, he blamed me for not using the standard bag (I had to drop off the clothes in person), then chastised me for holding the clothes incorrectly such that I would wrinkle *my husband's clothes* (little does he know that I work fulltime and these are my clothes too!), and to top it off: then he came to my car (I thought to help me with the clothes since I had to come pick them up) and actually reminded me not to send in clothes if the order was less than $25!! (even though our baskets are typically $50 every time for 3 years!). I am canceling our subscription. Not worth encouraging this type of "customer service". read more

Highly unimpressed with this company. I was looking for a cleaners & a coworker suggested Holiday Cleaners for I drive right by them on my way to work. I brought in a ladies skirt suit, size 6. The skirt is a fitted 3/4 length & the jacket is a fitted waist length. Their pricing listed suits at $13.99 but he (owner) tried to charge me $19.99 due to it being a 3/4 length skirt "It costs more to clean that length of skirt." Does he charge more for men's suits that are large sizes? My entire size 6 outfit has less fabric than the average man's suit...did the owner attempt to rip me off due to being a female & thus he thought he could get away with charging me more? And then he wanted cash because the total charge was less that $25 & claimed he told me this when I dropped it off (which he did not). The owner was rude & condescending. I now found a cleaners in Milpitas (Kathy's Cleaners) that is amazing. I live in Mountain View and will go out of my way to Kathy's due to their fabulous service. Kathy's has 10 of my outfits, Holiday Cleaners does not. Trying to rip off a customer, as well as being rude & condescending, cost this cleaners a lot of business (& income) from me. As well, Kathy's Cleaners secured a couple of buttons on a blazer & took care of a couple of stains on it, and did not charge me for these services...I shudder to think what Holiday Cleaners would have charged me for such a service. read more
