This place is amazing. Almost all of their dishes offer an option for tofu as the protein. Talk about flavor! We had the Chili Verde Bowl and the Miso Bowl. I honestly don't know which one I liked better, but both were full size servings that offered a little bit of leftovers. I can hardly wait to go back and try some of their other dishes. And as a bonus, the meals were served in plant based compostable dishes. Do yourself a favor and try Green Tomato Grill. You will be pleasantly surprised. read more

I've had the chickpea curry which I loved. I had des a bit of salt and spice to it which you can do at the condiments. bar. I like that they don't over season things. I've also had the pulled pork pita. It was good, but I've had better. I think it just needed more seasoning which I didn't do. The fried green tomatoes are OK. I work nearby and always see this place, this morning I popped in to try out a breakfast burrito. Before I get into the food, let me say that the staff was super nice and professional, and they seemed like they really did care. So I don't want this next part to be a reflection on the kids working the counter... I got the green Chile pork burrito and it was almost inedible. Pretty nasty. No potatoes (the menu said it came with potatoes... kind of an important ingredient to miss in a breakfast burrito), and the pork was really dry and chewy, like it tasted old. And the burrito had SO many soggy half-sautéed onions. Like to the point where I had to unfold it and eat it with a fork because it was falling apart from the juices running out. I probably ate about a quarter of it and threw the rest out. It was pretty gross, and my stomach is upset now, and I'm wondering if it might be due to the pork. Maybe their other menu items are better? But overall I probably will not be coming back. read more

To the owner of the establishment: I really enjoy the food your restaurant serves but today the service sucked. The 2 girls at the counter barely acknowledged me, I asked what kind of sauces you have and instead of telling me, your cashier up front just handed me the menu to read off of (which come on, that's kind of rude, I drove all the way from Fullerton a good 15 mins there and back) I paid, said thank you and neither of them said a word. Grabbed my food, got my drink and realized she never gave me a straw. When I asked for one, she just handed it to me with again not one word. I'm not sure about you but as someone who also services the public, I would have at least said thank you for coming or maybe even have a nice day. Please train your staff better on how to communicate with your customers. Your food is excellent but the service varies apparently. Thank you! read more

I really enjoyed the food here -- so much that after my meal I ordered a dish to-go to eat for lunch tomorrow (Miso Salmon Bowl). Friend and I ordered the Beet & Goat Cheese Salad, soup of the day, and Grilled Calamari Burrito. The salad was delicious and had generous portions. I dont remember if my friend ordered the dressing on the side but if she did not, then it was just a bit overdressed. I would go for less since the strawberry beer vinaigrette really adds the sweetness to it. The burrito was very interesting as I have never had anything like it before. I love squid and calamari but I admit it can run bland on it's own so I think they did a good job pairing it with the sweet potato fries and lime flavors to make it more flavorful. It almost tasted like a tofu burrito. I think it would be a good choice for pescetarians. The soup of the day was a kind of tortilla soup with avocado chunks in it. Not great but also not bad. It tastes as you would expect. Although IF they actually cooked it to be healthy and low-calorie then I would have to say I am quite impressed. I think the menu should actually go out of it's way to list calories if the franchise is going to advertise itself as a healthy eatery. Corporate should get involved with that. Although the food came out fast, I have to dock this place from a pristine review because of the inconsistent level of service from staff. Shortly after ordering my second entree, I realized I did not add it to my rewards program. When I asked if I could get the points rewarded after the fact, the staff did not know what to do and I am unable to redeem it online. I paid with cash for the second transaction and my cashier Christian never asked if I wanted a receipt or to redeem my points at the end. I felt like my issue was not handled correctly and I was cheated out of a deal that I should have received (I would have hit over 50 points). Based on previous reviews of the service of this place, the hiring manager needs to be more selective with who they choose for their jobs. Given the abundance of healthy eateries in Brea, I may choose them next time. read more

Decided to give this place a try and I was glad I did! I asked what was most popular and they said the Chile Verde Steak Bowl, and it did not disappoint!! I've been back twice and have ordered it time after time. The serving size was a lot which is nice if you dine in, although the last time I went I ordered to go and it seemed a lot smaller than the dine in size. Being vegan, I was excited to find this restaurant but was disappointed in my meal. I have had Beyond Beef burgers before and ordered it here as it sounded good from the menu. I wasn't at all impressed with how it was prepared. The burger was squashed down to approx 1/8" and it totally was dried out and tasteless. The cheese had no flavor. The bun was meh. There was a ton of arugula on it (too much) and the tomato slice was see through it was so thin. I got a side of Fried Green Tomatoes and they were greasy as heck. Almost all of the staff here are nice and welcoming. Sometimes they will give you a free habanero sauce if the line is long or something like that to show appreciation to their customers. I got the BBQ Crispy Tofu bowl, and the portion was huge for just a little more than $8. The tofu was a little dry, and the bowl was bland, but I added sriracha which made it a lot better. For dessert, I got the banana cream cheese muffin, and it was delicious!! I felt guilty eating it, but I just couldn't stop. This place has it all! Really great location, so much natural light shines in really giving off a good vibe to the place. They also have an awesome outdoor patio for dining and games. Came and enjoyed some really big burritos! The most memorable was the green Chile pork burrito. The flavors in this burrito were great paired up with their home made salsa and you're in for a treat. Also the cold brews are amazing. Really like that they use crush ice. (Personal preference) but these drinks are good for any long drive the day might be throwing at you. Even their wraps were good! First experience eating a wrap and I must say I enjoyed the freshness and quality that they put into their food. You can really taste the love behind each item you get here. We order from here at once or twice a week. I usually love to go here for their breakfast. My favorite is the protein scramble.
