I come here maybe once a week. Also, for you regulars they have a loyalty card type of thing and you get like points and can covert the points into discount off your order which I think is awesome. We found Green Tomato by accident. Located in a strip mall, we were driving for a place to eat and saw the name and it caught our eyes. The establishment is clean and has a very open space. You go to the counter to order your food and they bring it to you. The menu really has something for everyone. The best thing, it is all fresh tasting. We had the new grass fed griller as well as a Chicken Ranch Wrap. The burger was very tasty, however, it missed onion and I used the onion from my salad to add to the burger. Very fresh, very tasty and not a gut buster. The sweet potato fries were just ok. The reason why half of them were stone cold. I did not have time to wait or I would have sent them back. The Chicken Wrap was good tasting, however, it literally fell apart in our hands as the tortilla just dissolved. Very strange. Also, the dressing for the salad was not for me. Just did not taste good and they did not offer any other flavor. The chocolate chip cookie was interesting and good as well. It had interesting spices in it that made it a step up from a normal chocolate chip cookie. They do have outside seating for a nice day and the employees were all fairly nice even though some just seemed to be going through the motions. They have many hot sauces for folks as well as quite a few beer selections if you like beer. I must state, over the last year or so the customer service has dropped tremendously. The order is often wrong, and the customer service when ordering over the phone and in person is apathetic at best. There is a young man (who might be the owners son) that is professional, but the rest are really bad and seemingly getting worse. My family and I eat there about 2-3 times a month. I'd love to speak with the Owner about it. Food is good and prepared most of the time. Update: A customer service manager contacted me right away. It was a very productive call and I felt she was genuine in wanting hear my concerns. I'm looking forward to seeing their improvement. I definitely appreciate them reaching Update: Recently visited and I must state: There has absolutely been an investment in the customer service. They have employee highlight charts and the team members seem to be making a concerted effort. Kudos to the team for making real investments in their service. I met my sister and brother in law at this restaurant. The restaurant caters to healthier food I assume. I got the curry chick pea bowl and my mom got the steak bowl. My sister got the tofu bowl. For me, the curry rice bowl was good but I liked my sister's tofu bowl better. The tofu was chewy and delicious. The curry was good too. The aroma of the curry was tasty and the rice was very delectable. The steak bowl had good amount of avocados and meat. All bowls were delicious and the flavor was interesting. I got the cucumber lemonade and it was very cool and it helped with quenching my thirst. Except, I do not understand the refill for the cucumber lemonade that is 1 dollar refill. Sodas are free refill, but no cucumber lemonade. 1 dollar refill is a bit too much. Also, the food is a bit pricey. The atmosphere and the food was great, but not the price and the 1 dollar refill is not cool. My mom said on her 2nd visit, the curry bowl had lots of water and it had too much moisture. Tried this place because of the long list of gluten free options and we will definitely be back! We were greeted by warm smiles and friendly employees. Eddie offered some suggestions and was over the top nice. We ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl, fish tacos, chimichurri chicken wrap, gluten free bbq pulled pork wrap & sweet potato fries. Our food was served up hot and fast, within 10 minutes of ordering. Everything was fresh and delicious. Even the lemonades were unique and flavorful. The prices were reasonable. The outside eating area has fun board games and heaters, it was almost as nice as sitting in our own backyard. We will definitely be returning. read more

I've only been to this location twice, and both times were somewhat problematic. The first time, my bf and I went in, ordered our food, and were handed a number. We found a seat, and we waited...and waited...and waited. Everybody was getting food brought to them, including people who arrived after us. We saw "servers" walking around with a tray that had 2 meals on it, looking around everywhere with a puzzled look on their faces. After waiting around 15 min for our food, we began to wonder if that was ours. My bf looked at our number, and looked at the receipt...and realized the number we were handed at the register was incorrect. We kept waiting (and got cold food) because of one person's error. The food was ok. Nothing spectacular, though not bad. *edit to add that after posting this review, the owner proceeded to attack me in private messages and make ridiculous accusations of me, which were hurtful. Didn't realize until now that I never updated my review to include this. Very hurtful and unprofessional! I used to love and recommend this place to friends, but not anymore! Fast forward to last night, our second visit to this location! I had been seeing GTG pushing the new vegan Char Burger on facebook, and it looked delicious! I decided I HAVE to try it! Naturally, that is what I ordered when we went in. The guy at the register was nice enough to let us sample the watermelon basil lemonade, though neither of us cared for it. We went and found a table, made sure this time we were given the right number (we were, thankfully), and waited for our food. Service was quick, and it arrived in a short amount of time. Perfect! The burger looked just as advertised! I took a big bite after cutting it in half, and was met with an awful, bizarre, tangy and bitter sweetness. I have had some awesome veggie burgers, and this was NOT one of them! I ended up using a fork to pick out and eat the mushrooms and avocado, I ate some of the bun, and enjoyed the chipotle lime popcorn. But that patty...nope! I think the flavor may have been from the beets (which give it a strange dark red color). Either way, I was unimpressed and disappointed to have wasted money on this. When I got home, I found the Char Burger post on their facebook and shared my thoughts, that I wanted to love the burger and that it looked great, but I was disappointed in it. I was not mean or harsh about it. This morning, I discovered they not only deleted my post, they also blocked me from commenting on their page at all! That's a bit too far, GTG. More professional social media pages for better restaurants will usually meet these situations with an apology and maybe mention other menu items that are really popular. Instead, I was given the cold shoulder. It's sad because I used to like GTG, but I will not be returning to this location, and neither will my close friends. I've been here twice: the first time I came I placed my order online and picked it up. My food was ready right when I walked in and it was still hot when I got home. I made my own bowl with soyrizo, and got a chicken wrap for my mom. Everything tasted really fresh and the portion to price was pretty fair. The second time I went I ordered my food to go- and I ordered a vegetarian bowl, and they even emphasized "vegetarian" on the receipt, which I appreciated because I don't eat meat of any sort. My bowl was made pretty quickly, and I left to go to work. When I finally started to eat it, I noticed that there was one chunk of steak in the bowl. Gross.. I don't know how it got there but I was pretty turned off. So I think employees there need to be more aware of stuff like that. I don't have any allergies, but there could be some serious issues if someone with allergies was given the wrong thing. Besides that, the interior looked really nice and clean, employees seem to have a good knowledge of what customer service is, prices are pretty fair- could be a bit cheaper for what you get, and the food is prepared pretty quickly. Their selection of sauces is pretty impressive too- they all sound so good, but I've gotten the GTG twice and it exceeded my expectations. Overall I might come back. Might not. We've been excited to try this place since the store name went up, and we were not disappointed. This restaurant is located in the same plaza as the Vons supermarket. There are plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options. We ordered the poke bowl, yellow curried chickpea braise, and the Thai shrimp bowl. I love that the restaurant is so flexible with the sauce and protein substitutions. In fact, our Thai shrimp bowl became a "Greek shrimp bowl" since we substituted the Thai peanut sauce with Tzatziki sauce. Especially if you're a fan of sashimi, the poke bowl is a must-try, as the raw ahi tuna is fresh and chunky. The vegetables in every dish were generous in amount and fresh. The edamame peas they add on many of the dishes is a big plus for me. You can also ask for the sauces to be on the side so you can control how flavorful (and healthy) you want your dish to be. For the amount you get, the price is decent (~$9 per dish). The only part of the meal that was not outstanding was the rice. We tried both the cilantro lime white and brown rice. Both were dry and hard to chew, the white rice more so than the brown, actually. The food thus was a bit difficult to swallow. However, we'll definitely give some of the other entrees a try, especially the wraps and melts. The drinks and desserts (they serve various coffees, agave lemonade, frozen yogurts, and acai bowls) look appetizing as well. My friend had a Poke rice bowl, and I had the Miso salmon salad. While both had flavor, and were delicious, I was a bit disappointed with the amount of protein provided for each bowl. 4oz of protein is sufficient enough to keep you full. I probably had 2 tablespoons of salmon in my bowl...and I feel that's stretching it. Maybe they try and make up the difference with the edamame at the bottom of the bowl. My friend seemed happy with her bowl so I won't go there, but again, more protein please. read more

The first time I visited the restaurant was on the second day right after lunch and the place was almost empty which could just be attributed to the fact that they are in the midst of a soft opening. However, the employees were all talking in the back of the kitchen and it took a minute for someone to serve me at the counter which was strange for a place that just opened the day before. I had the large order of Chicken Mediterranean bowl. I was expecting something different or maybe I don't know what I was expecting. What I got was a lot of brown rice, little pieces of diced chicken, wilted vegetables that seemed to be overlooked and very little flavor. I went back 2 days later and had much better service from the person behind the counter. I ordered the small portion of chili verde steak bowl. This bowl seemed to have the right portion of meat to rice ratio and a little more flavor but still lacked any robust flavor. In fact I grabbed a few packets of soy sauce and asked for more verde sauce. Overall the inside is very clean and decor falls in line with the theme of their restaurant. I enjoyed the different iced teas they offer and multitude of condiments. Service was good and I'm sure it will get even better in time however the food lacked any flavor to me and I would have to give it 2-2.5 stars for food and 3 stars overall for now. read more

The staff is really nice, and they are real smart about whats good, and I always ask them what their favorite meals are. The food was good, I would say they don't provide enough of the salsa/sauce on the bowls but I would ask for more except it is 50c more per side order of salsa... they have this spicy garlic sauce but it isn't as flavorful as the main side sauces that cost 50c a piece.
