I come here often and order the Greek Tofu Salad almost every time... A few times the salad was either made wrong or with missing ingredients. This time I ordered it without artichokes and with tomatoes instead. They charged me extra for the tomatoes which is no big deal. But I'm concerned that they either don't wash their dishes properly or they use unwashed dishes with left over food in it. I found some type of red chili in my Greek salad with a piece of I have no idea what in it. Some orange smelly food item in my salad. The salad is supposed to come with chickpeas in it and of course I get barely any at all! The red chili was smeared in my bowl which makes me think they use unwashed dirty dishes. However, sadly; the last 3x I've ordered, I have been completely disappointed. My son and I have a severe food allergy, I share this always when I order anywhere I go. I originally called to order because as I said, I've had issues with my orders recently. I was unable to place a delivery over the phone (which is totally understandable since you use GrubHub.) I did mention to the employee that I'd had an issue with my order being incorrect before while ordering through yelp and that there was a food allergy concern. He repeated that I'd have to place my order through yelp for delivery. I specified with notes on each item ordered that there was a food allergy and selected the proper options to modify our meals to keep them safe for us to eat. I do live 35 min away and did not notice until I got home from work (where the order was delivered) that not only were both meals not correct, they also contained a food to which we have a severe allergy to. I contacted the restaurant and although the employee did his best to assist me, I was placed on hold 6 times for him to relay information to the manager on duty (Christian) who couldn't be bothered to take the call himself. Each time the employee came back on the phone he'd say "my manager said to tell you if you want a refund that You need to call GrubHub. Giovanni was very sweet and professional and when I told him he shouldn't be dealing with this and that his manager should have taken this call instead of forcing him to place me on hold every min to relay the information to him he apologized. I requested the corporate number and was told no numerous times. I did get a refund through grubhub, but I have also sent a review before and requested someone reach out to me and that did not happen. I ordered fish tacos and a goat cheese beet salad from Green Tomato Grill off of Postmates. Everything came in a timely order and looked delicious but they forgot to include the dressing for the salad. I was really upset because how was I supposed to eat the salad without dressing? I called Green Tomato Grill to let them know that my husband would be coming to pick up the forgotten dressing. It was almost closing time, and Brinn was very apologetic and said that she would bring the dressing to my house! I couldn't believe it! My boyfriend and I decided to give this restaurant a try, and I'm so glad we did. Everything tasted so fresh and wonderful! I had the salmon miso salad and it's definitely a new favorite of mine. It was my first time here. My friend recommended that I try this place out. It's somewhat out of the way for me but decided to check it out anyways because of the great reviews. Upon entering, the cashier and menu is right in front of you. The place is very clean. The kind of clean you would want when you dine in a restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly face. I asked some questions about the menu that the worker was able to answer right away. This was a good sign that the worker knew the menu, and knew it well. I've been to places where the workers do not know the menu they serve. That is a bad sign to me. Not here, the worker was able to tell me the differences in the menu, and I even asked her what dressing she liked for her salad, and she was able to answer them for me. We were off to a good start. So I ordered the chicken wrap for $9, and paid an extra $2 for the salad, and chickpeas for like $4. My friend got a beet salad with salmon. It did take some time to come out but I'm okay with it since everything was being made to order. You can tell when the food came out. The chicken wrap came out huge. A lot bigger than expected for a $9 wrap. It looked like it swallowed another chicken wrap.Taste? It was excellent. I loved how it tasted so fresh. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and there was enough fresh veggies in there to add extra texture and taste. Again, this thing was massive. I really enjoyed it thoroughly. Will for sure order this item again, after I try some other things on the menu. The salad was fresh and very crisp. I forget the dressing that I got but it was vinaigrette. It was the favorite dressing of the cashier. I would say, it was very good and light. The chickpeas came out fried but wasn't drenched in oil like I've seen at other places. They were light, dry on the outside with a nice crunch, and soft and moist on the inside. I really liked the texture of them. Tasted really good. Couldn't stop eating them. Overall, the food I tried were really good. I liked the fact that none of the food was drenched in dressing or sauces. They were light, had a lot of flavor but did not over power everything else. I've been to the Green Tomato Grill in Orange before and really liked it, so I was really excited when I found out they actually opened a second location in Brea! This location is really bright, clean, and the ambiance kind of reminds me of Urban Plates or Tender Greens. They even have a cute little outdoor patio, as well as a giant communal table indoors for larger parties! They've expanded their menu a lot in recent years, so they now have all kinds of wraps, sandwiches, braises, bowls, etc. I ordered the chile verde steak bowl, which was a nice medley of warm white rice, black beans, corn, bell peppers, avocado slices, and giant pieces of seasoned steak. The bowl came topped with a green chile verde sauce, which surprisingly wasn't too spicy, but a nice touch for an added kick of flavor and some mild heat! The ingredients definitely tasted fresh and the steak was super tender. We also ordered the miso salmon salad and loved it - the portion size of the salad was extremely generous and they nailed the proportion of mixed greens to salmon. I would definitely order both of these dishes again, as they were so tasty and light, but left us feeling full too! The customer service is BEYOND exceptional here. The cashier who took our order was extremely helpful, friendly and upbeat. I had received a coupon in the mail for "buy one, get one half off an entree," as well as another coupon for a "free lemonade with the purchase of an entree." I wasn't sure if I could use both coupons, so I opted to use the former coupon first, but since the employee overheard me saying it's been awhile since I last visited GTG, he quickly offered to honor the other coupon as well and gave us TWO lemonades on the house just to make sure our first visit in awhile was super positive! In addition, he also accepted my Yelp check-in offer for a free coffee, which was totally awesome and unexpected! We tried their pineapple berry and cucumber ginger lemonades. Both were super refreshing and surprisingly not too sweet, plus I learned they make their lemonade with agave nectar, which is kind of unique! I'm a HUGE fan of this place for so many reasons! Generous portions, really healthy food, casual atmosphere, exceptional customer service, and reasonable prices... what more could you ask for?! We came on a Saturday around 2:00 pm. Place was not busy and the food was great. So why not a 5? Positives: - love the trendy decor and atmosphere - good parking - menu has a good selection - flavor of the food was 4.5 Negatives: - redeemed a Groupon and when asked how it works, counter lady sounded a bit annoyed. Why?? There were two parties behind me who looked like they were still deciding on what to order. I am aware of common courtesy and can sense if people standing behind are growing impatient, but that didn't seemed to be the case. So after she said that I can do a meal and drink x 4 plainly, she reminded me that I needed to stay at the amount limit and anything over I'd have to cover. Again, it wasn't the message, it was how the message was conveyed. So I responded with - "I will stay within the limit." Got the paper menu, got off the line, and went back in line when I was ready. - muffins and pastries all looked amazing and I was ready and willing to pay for them (not included in Groupon), but the kids said there was a fly inside the clear box. But I didn't see it... didn't try any. :-( - enjoyed the meal so much, seriously. But when I was finishing up, there it was hovering and landing on our table. The fly, or his relative. The place has some plant shelvings so I'm guessing that's why those flies come in. - used restroom, and lo and behold, another damn FLY in there, an even bigger one! It was on the toilet seat, and when it saw me, it flew. So guess what? I went to the other stall. So yeah, loved the food, but needs some tougher policy on allowing flies in. I've been here twice recently. The first time, I wanted to try their acai bowl, but their machine was down, so they couldn't make it for me. I went a second time hoping to get an acai bowl, but their machine was down again. However, the girl was able to get it working for me. See my "WHAT I GOT" section below for more details. LOCATION: It's in an older looking center in Brea. The positive is that parking is easy. 3/5 ATMOSPHERE: The atmosphere tries to look garden-y and fresh with wood and green colors, but it kind of comes off as cheesy. It's not horrible, but it just looks kind of cheesy to me. But it's pretty big and spacious inside, which is good, I guess, in comparison to cramped places. 2/5 SELECTION: They have a variety of items, from breakfast items, to burritos, to bowls, to burgers. I appreciate the specifically-labeled vegan options. They also have an acai bowl, banana whip, and coffee-type drinks. 3/5 WHAT I GOT: So like I said, I got their "Brazilian Acai," after the girl was able to get the machine to work. It was okay. The acai blend was slightly more liquid-y than I'd assume it'd normally be (since she just got the machine up and running), but it was still okay and mostly thick. Although, it wasn't what I'd consider great. It was too frozen berry-ish, so it leaned more towards a popsicle texture, instead of a more-creamy texture. The toppings were okay. The granola was sparse, but okay-tasting -- I've had better. The banana could've been riper. The strawberries, coconut, and agave were fine. And I liked the addition of the the vegan chocolate chips, although I'd prefer cacao nibs. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, but at least I finally got to try it. Also, I tried their chai latte (hot) with almond milk, and it was pretty good. It wasn't one of the best chai lattes ever, but it was still better than some of the ones I've had in the past. 3/5 SERVICE: It was nice that the girl tried both times to see if their acai machine worked, and then was successful the second time, and made me a bowl. Although, I think they should seriously consider getting their machine fixed or something so they don't continuously have this problem. Exhausted, I drove back to the restaurant, and while they gave me a $10 gift card for my trouble which I appreciated, not one of the workers apologized for my inconvenience. The worst part was I didn't even eat the bowl- it was horrible and nowhere near the quality it used to be- I threw it away. Our sweet potato fries were cold. They forgot my daughter's drink. Disappointed with my experience ordering GTG for delivery today. I usually order the BYO Breakfast Scramble online about once a week. I'm home sick today, so I decided to have it delivered. First off, the BYO Scramble is not an option for delivery. I ordered the regular Breakfast Scramble and changed it to my liking. The only substitution I requested was mushrooms instead of bell peppers. Which I was of course charged extra for. When you order a BYO Scramble, a sauce of your choice is included. This wasn't on the online ordering form, so I called and asked if a side of ranch could be included with my order. The employee refused and said that would adjust my order and charge me for a side of sauce. No. I'm not paying extra for a small side of sauce that comes with my order every single other time I get it. Please add your entire menu to the online ordering system. This was a frustrating experience to do the right thing and not risk transmitting a sickness to your employees by ordering for pick up. read more

I got the Vegan Char Burger combo with fried green tomatoes. The texture of the patty was more of a compacted paste - almost like play-doh. The first bite was good, then it got stranger every bite after. I had to remove the patty after a couple of bites because it was so weird. The cheese, vegetables, bread, and sauce was good overall. The fried green tomatoes are an absolute treat and I recommend that if you are going. The atmosphere is very aesthetically pleasing and I saw multiple cute dogs come in which made my first experience all the more merry. The customer service is good but not the greatest.
