Some of my all time favorite donuts! The old fashioned donut is my go-to! They are so fresh and delicious. I love that they have fun decorative donuts depending on the month/holiday as well. This location has some street parking in front. The staff was friendly and efficient. I was here picking up a custom order. I called ahead to order 2 boxes or donut holes (they don't always sell donut holes so it is best to pre-order). I had called 2 days prior to the day I needed to pick them up. They were freshly made and ready to pick up right as I arrived. Super easy and well priced. Greenbush donuts are always a crowd pleaser!

Excellent customer service with an incredible selection of mouthwatering donuts! The ultimate spot for donut lovers or anyone with a sweet tooth. I got some old school donuts and a few seasonal flavors, the pumpkin one was so good! Highly recommend this place- the best in town hands down.

I'm not even an old fashioned donut fan but Greenbush's old fashions are literally to die for! I love the blueberry one and sour cream especially!

Life is short, but donut reviews are too great to pass up. Was in town for the evening and at the recommendation of some friends got a half dozen from Greenbush. Went with a large variety of their glazed, some sprinklers, and assortment of the old fashioned from the original to cherry. The old fashioned were the best in my opinion as they were large, super funky and chunk looking, with the right amount of glaze. The sprinkles were fairly basic ranging from cake donuts to original and had a good amount of topping. The glaze was a little disappointing as I felt the bread was a little heavy with not enough glaze. Still a great set of donuts to be had in Madison

OREO Doughnut: Greenbush Bakery opened its doors in 1996 and in 1998 it became a certified kosher dairy kitchen (the only one between Minneapolis, MKE, and Chicago to this day). Although I got my degree from UW, I somehow went the entire four years without trying a single doughnut from Greenbush Bakery. Don't worry, I've since made up for it and now make it a priority to stop whenever I'm back on campus. Their OREO Doughnut is a massive Bismark with chocolate icing covered in OREO crumbles with a center containing an OREO crème flavored filling. The filling nailed the OREO crème flavor but had a better texture that was more liquid/creamy than the somewhat dry crème in OREOs. This was the second time I've had this doughnut and although I enjoyed it, it was much better the last time I was there. When I went in 2022 it was absolutely stuffed with OREO crème flavored filling and this time around, I ate almost half the doughnut before getting any crème (I was actually beginning to worry it wasn't even filled by mistake). I don't know if the recipe changed or if it's just from individual variation, but I was a little disappointed. Still a good doughnut, just not a great doughnut. Ok so I heard this is the best. And they did not disappoint. I have a hard time picking what to choose so I got a dozen donuts and apple fritter. I did share the dozen donuts. with several people and everyone liked them. We cut them all into four pieces and we definitely all got a sample all the different kind of donuts there were. we went to work and everyone at work agreed very extremely delicious. I don't think there's a bad thing in there was one I did not like. It looked like some kind of chocolate log. They're not care for that in anyway shape or form but otherwise everything was fabulous.

I've stopped here multiple times... always a great experience! Hands down the best donut shop in Madison. The service is super quick, usually in and out in about 5 minutes even if you're ordering a few dozen! The prices are very reasonable for the quality too You know it's going to be a good day at work when someone brings in Greenbush! I could have multiple in one sitting :-P My favorites are the Oreo with cream filled or a sour cream donut. Serious Heavenly!! Parking can be a challenge. Street parking is best, however there usually is a spot right near the bakery.

Hands down these are the best donuts in Madison. The cake donuts were my favorite. Blueberry cake donut was the best. Cherry cake donut was good as well. The oreo cream donut was another excellent donut. Maple blueberry donut was excellent as well. Apple fritters was really big. Other donute I tried were coconut chocolate donut and peanut chocolate donuts.

Disappointed! Bought two overpriced apple fritters without one scrap of apple. Threw them away.

Their menu is small but mighty having a little something for everyone. I got a hot Maple Latte with oatmilk. The flavor was subtly sweet but paired great with the espresso. The maple syrup was sourced locally and made in house. I'd be very curious to come back and try the other specialty lattes. My husband got their Homemade Chai Latte. It was cozy in a cup and had nice spices in it. We shared the Bagel Sandwich which was the perfect portion for a breakfast snack. The bagel seemed to have fresh seasoning on it and the flavors layered nicely together. Overall, this was a great coffee, tea, food stop. Its right off Capitol Square but order online for pick up to avoid the lines if you can.

They also had a good variety of merch items (apparel, coffee mugs, etc) to browse while waiting in line. They had a blueberry mint flat white on the menu, but since I wanted an iced coffee, the barista was able to ring up an iced latte with blueberry mint syrup for me instead. Super kind of her to recommend! Unfortunately the latte tasted pretty acidic, and I couldn't really taste blueberry or mint at all. My friend got the blueberry mint flat white (which is hot) and had the same complaints, so it might have just been the syrup. So wouldn't recommend the blueberry mint drinks but would be open to trying something else, since the service and ambiance of the shop was nice.

It's definitely a storefront with no seating, but if you don't mind standing there's an area where you could eat at a counter. I arrived at 9am on a Sunday and by the time I finished ordering, a line had formed out the door. I would definitely recommend getting here early; however, it's also the kind of place where you can't go wrong with anything you order. After a lot of waffling, I ordered the lemon currant scone, peach muffin, and ham and Gruyère bun. The scone was super buttery with a crunchy exterior and soft interior, with the most lovely glaze and lemon zest throughout. It definitely screamed summer. The peach muffin was super light and airy, and not at all too sweet. The crunchy cinnamon topping was absolute perfection and brought the perfect texture contrast. I really enjoyed the bun, which was like a mini sourdough loaf. I do think there could have been a bit more ham, but the caramelized onions throughout made sure that every bite was super flavorful. Next time I'm in town, you better believe Batch will be my first stop!
