Hey so this place is really good and the food has lots of flavor. But how come you only put three peaces of lettuce on my food? Is it because it was a to-go order? :(

Affordable, Great customer service, super attentive! Celia and Luz were super friendly! My mom tried the Horchata and it was amazing, free refills too! Fajitas were wonderful and the portions were definitely sharable. Nice causal environment for a dinner, will be coming back whenever I'm in the area 100%

I should have read my review from 8 years ago. Bad, bad... Caldo soup had good flavor but lots of fatty meat. Chili Colorado (pork) was ok, beans good. Some reviews say pricing is cheap but most breakfast seems to be $16+. Service was bad from table service, to trying to on the bill, to being ignored when trying to pay at the counter. Lady walked away then didn't look at me. Hate to say it but if you don't speak Spanish you're ignored. My wife is Mexican and speaks Spanish. The tables next to us with people all speaking Spanish had great service all afternoon. F this place, I'm done here.

Food was served hot and delicious. Lots of flavor. Thank you to the cooks in the kitchen for caring and putting their skills to work for us. Nice decor clean establishment. The staff is welcoming and friendly but please come and share your experience with all of us.

I have lived in Whittier for a long time & have never tried this spot. Went out for lunch today & tried it. Had the soup/salad/1/2 sandwich combo & it was so goooood!! Especially the fideo soup. I also had a michi & idk what's their mix is but it was one of the best michis I've had in a while. I can't remember the waitress name, but she was little older, but was superb! & so sweet.

One could describe this place as sh*tty delicious authentic Mexican food or authentic Mexican food, without having to wait in line or for food, I guess 4pm is the perfect time to come for any meal, especially watching that silver haired fox playing solitaire on his 'notebook' wearing massive earphones like I don't know what's going on in them ears. The ladies who work here are aunties I wish I had growing up serving me exactly what's on the menu. It's all a little greasy but nothing extra, nothing missing. The best part about the breakfast, besides being served all day, is like a smartie, they melt your butter in them freshly toasted bread. The quesadilla reminded me so much of my first quesadilla made by my old English tutor from El Salvador. Greenleaf though use a much better, larger tortilla. It's exactly what I want at 4pm and 12am. No other time in between. Love the homemade chips and yummy orange Tang! Everything I want in an orange soda without the soda. Edit: 2 days later: fecal consistency is not great if not lacking. For the vegetarians who ate here we're still fighting this constipation and tummy rumbles two days after that authentic Mexican food.

The whole stem took most of seeds out.

2nd time here. I'm from La Verne. I come down here every Sunday for a class. First time I went after class, ordered a Menudo (no pata ) and Chile relleno burrito wet with no rice. My boyfriend ate the Menudo when I wasn't home so didn't get to see it. He said it was alright. My burrito I took to work the next day. Not gonna lie. It was delicious but it had all the seeds and stem. Wanted to try the menudo so got it with not too much hominy, and a chile relleno a la cart. To go order $27 plus 3$ tip. What do you see wrong about my order this Monday?

When we pointed out that we had ordered regular fries, the waitress insisted they didn't even carry regular fries and said she had heard us order home-style fries, even though she had acknowledged our order twice when we placed it. That was frustrating. My husband also ordered a T-bone steak but was served a sirloin instead. As for my meal, I ordered the special omelet, and it was nothing special. It lacked flavor, and the cheese didn't complement the dish. The home-style potatoes were simply sliced potatoes that were overly greasy and dripping with oil. Overall, it was a very disappointing dining experience. I hope the restaurant pays closer attention to order accuracy, food quality, and the details that make for good customer service. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I don't plan on returning.

The horchata latte was a standout -- smooth, comforting, and nicely balanced with just the right amount of cinnamon sweetness. I have been on a quest to try different coffee spots in my surrounding areas, but this spot may bring me to a halt (lol). I didn't realize this little spot was here until a few weeks ago that my husband and I stopped by the brewery (after many times) to watch a game and have a few drinks. That's when we noticed the coffee bar. Service was friendly and they do have a good selection to choose from. I stopped on a Friday morning for fuel (coffee) before running errands, and went with the strawberry horchata cold foam. I was pleasantly surprised. It was perfect and not overly sweet. I also got a pistachio crescent, warm, and was delicious. I stopped by the following morning, and went with the pumpkin spice chai latte, which was perfect! And pistachio crescent to share with my son, which he ended up taking, despite him not having a sweet tooth for baked goodies like I do. Highly recommend this little spot!!

Plenty of seating to just hang out and chat or if you need to set up and study or work on something. There's also online order if you need to grab something and bounce ASAP (my case). Service is friendly, welcoming, and efficient with the morning rush. I was basic the day I visited so I just got their strawberry matcha. Not too sweet. Strawberry flavor with some after notes of the slight earthy matcha once mixed. This will sound insane to people who don't know, but the matcha is better than UG Tea and other big franchise spots, on par with other places that are essentially coffee shops that serve matcha (Dumbstruck Coffee, etc.), but is not on the same level as Yamari or Airoma. I would love to come back and try more of their drinks. Lots of unique ones on the menu.

A week before the announcement was made, I came here to try their famous blue tortilla breakfast burrito. [Parking]: There's a free public parking structure located one block away from the coffee shop (6738 Comstock Ave, Whittier, CA 90601). [Atmosphere]: Super crowded on Sunday & I was not able to find a place to sit. I ultimately ordered my breakfast burrito to-go. They also have a section of cafe that sell vintage clothing. [Menu]: For the signature breakfast burrito, they actually have 6 options - classic breakfast burritos (bacon - $16.50), Prime Steak (grass-fed prime steak $20.50), the Ultimate Burrito (grass-fed prime steak + avocado + bacon), Chilaquiles ($15.50), Chorizo ($16.00), and Vegan ($16.00). They also sell their cold brew cafe de olla in giant plastic bags that look like IV drip bags at the refrigerated section. [Ordering]: Customers can order at the cashier counter or order via kiosk (they use Toast). I reviewed their breakfast burrito options at 12 PM and they ran out of classic breakfast burrito. I ended up with prime steak breakfast burrito instead. Unfortunately I waited 45 minutes before they had my order ready and I could tell other customers were not too patient with their orders as they kept walking up to the pick-up counter & checked the ordering status. *** Prime Steak Breakfast Burrito (grass fed prime steak, scrambled egg, Monterey Jack cheese, crema, pico de gallo, tri-colored peppers, hash browns - $20.50): Unlike other breakfast burrito I have had at other places, this breakfast burrito had blue tortilla. The portion was a bit smaller than I expected, but chewy steak + crispy hash browns + roasted peppers + red salsa = one delicious and s-tier tasting breakfast burrito. *** While LFTD serves one of the best 5-star worthy breakfast burritos I have ever had in LA + Orange County, I have to take off a star due to extremely long wait time on food order. Please do yourself a favor and place an online order at least 30 minutes ahead of time if you want to try their breakfast burritos ( https://www.toasttab.com/local/order/lift-6701-greenleaf-ave ).
