They were Fair and did a transmission fluid change. Allowed me to bring in my own sealed, new Mopar transmission fluid I wanted to keep things original when doing a fluid change. Just make sure when the tech test drives your car the hood is latched unlike mine was on my Jeep. Lucky the hood did not pop up. Bottom line they were nice and the job was done right. read more

In February of 2017 I took my 2004 Mazda Miata in for some repairs and the cooling system drained and flushed for routine maintenance. I was not having any issues with the cooling system. I have had the car since April of 2014 and put almost 6000 miles on it so it is not my daily driver. I picked up the car. The next weekend I noticed coolant had leaked out on the floor of the garage. I filled it up with 50/50 mix of coolant and brought it back in. They told me they found a leak in the radiator and told me they fixed it. I was told there must have been so much corrosion that flushing the system loosened it which must have been plugging the hole so there was no leak until the corrosion was flushed out. I asked about the coolant ratio and they told me aluminum radiators have to have a 70/30 ratio of coolant to water. This is incorrect! Ms. Clark actually later denied that they put 70/30 in after the flush, saying it was 50/50! The charge was $442.50 on 3/28/2017 which included $190 labor for inspecting the system, finding the leak, taking and putting the radiator back in, road testing and rechecking, $150 for repairing and pressure testing the radiator. I was suspicious so I spoke with 3 mechanics and was told that explanation of corrosion plugging a leak was "very unlikely" and pressure testing incorrectly more likely the cause of the damage. One mechanic too me "They are just covering their ass." I told them this when I went to pick it up but they did not offer any refund. After getting home I discovered the radiator still was leaking but at a slower rate so I took it back in. Obviously they did not do a good job of testing and checking their work despite putting on the bill "ROAD TESTED AND RECHECKED". They missed the leak after the flushing and again after they repaired the radiator! I was told the radiator could not be fixed and would have to be replaced. When I picked up the car on April 28, 2017 Ms. Clark told me she "called" the manufacturer and was told the corrosion explanation was the likely reason for the leak and DENIED they pressure tested the radiator during the draining and flushing of the cooling system. She also denied pressure testing the radiator when I picked up the car the second time on 3/28/2017. By the way, the 1st invoice states, and I quote, "Pressure test cooling system." I called two distributors of this radiator, sent an email directly to the manufacturer, all agreeing this explanation was very unlikely. I went back May 2nd with this information and a copy of Koyorad's email to me. She denied she ever "called" the manufacturer. She said that she spoke to the technician who originally did the drain and flushing! I asked for a refund and was only offered $150! She asked me how much I wanted. I didn't have the invoices with me so I asked her to look them up but she refused and told me to come back in with them. May 8th, shop called and said all they would be willing to refund is $21. I also took another car in for minor repair and got the car back in worse condition. They did fix that issue with no charge but I would recommend to them they need to do a better job of checking and rechecking their work since 3 times they missed important issues. read more

Brought my 49' merc in for nagging disc brake issues, 2 shops in california could not seem to get them functioning right, lost my brakes again driving on 101 Pina highway. New owner sucks. Love the old owner which is still there. They fixed the lock on my boyfriends truck and called and said they were having trouble. It was in the shop for two weeks. They said they could take the battery to auto zone which I would usually have done for my boyfriend right away but they offered but that took another three days. When we got the truck back they clearly took apart the other door to see how to repair the broken lock. Now the other door was broken. This would have never happened if the original owner was there. It's a shame. Me my boyfriend and his dad all go to Roy's auto shop now. read more

A few months back I picked up a 1977 Wagoneer, the previous owner had a long list of work he had done to it and sold it to me with an additional 3 more boxes of parts and said after 14,000 bucks he can't figure out a rough idle issue, nor the guy before he, so as far as I could tell is it was at least a 30 year old problem. I too went all through the thing 2 mechanic friends, craziest thing anybody ever saw AND the engine was rebuilt also. Tachometers, fuel pumps, I mean A LOT was thrown at this vehicle to keep it all together because of the age. By luck I found Greenway Auto Repair, took it in there praying it didn't need 100's or 1000's in repairs, but seriously within 2 hours they called, all done, $100 bucks, come pick it up. WHAT, REALLY?!?! The issue: An old vacuum plug on the back of the carburetor was missing, adjusted the timing and carb, oh & tightened a hose clamp. Absolutely BLOWN AWAY by these guys! First, I'd like to address Mark H. If you were so unsatisfied, why did you take a second vehicle back into the shop? I have been going to Greenway Auto since the 80s. I've taken all of my vehicles, my mother's vehicles and my employer's vehicles to this shop. They have always been honest and fair priced. The same people have been at this shop for many years. Robyn Clark has always been knowledgeable, friendly, professional and honest. Never has she lied or mislead me. If there is something she doesn't have an answer for, she will get the answer, not lie, as has been suggested by Mark H. How do you know that your radiator wasn't about to leak? You have a 2004 vehicle, with low mileage, which would indicate that you rarely drive it. You are blaming a company with zero evidence to back it up. You post dates with claims of what you were told. How do we know you aren't lying? Didn't get what you want, so you put in a bad review, is my guess. Again, you took a second vehicle back to the shop (if this is even true). I have been going to this shop for the last couple of decades. I fully trust this shop and its staff. I've had nothing but great experiences. With so many shops out there that don't care about their customers and do actually lie or may even screw with your vehicle to get you back in to spend more money, I have returned to Greenway Auto over and over again. No matter where I have lived in the Valley, I have always gone out of my way to drive here for service. They are worth it. They are trustworthy.
